Huge thanks for this glowing review! The team are thrilled to know their efforts are so appreciated. And may we say thank you for the recent donation of knitted chicks for all the residents to enjoy at Easter, they are fabulous!

My mum has been a resident at Maun View for over 3 years. In that time, my mum has had excellent care. The staff are so friendly and supportive to the residents and their families. I would recommend Maun View to anyone looking to find residential care for their loved ones.

My dad has been a resident here at Maunview for 8 and a half years and during his stay, I must say we have had no complaints about anything major. The staff are really kind, caring and friendly. We have missed not being able to come into the home to visit, but have been pleased we are able to have pod visits and appreciate Runwood handling of this situation and we fully support them. The resident's care and safety come first.

I would just like to say my mum went into Maun View a couple of weeks ago. On arrival, we were informed of Mum's arrival and immediately felt reassured by the manager. I have phoned the care home on several occasions and found all the staff to be very professional caring and informative about Mum. They have spoken to doctors and sorted out her medications and healthcare needs. I have nothing but praise for their caring approach and made, not only Mum welcome, but also given us peace of mind. Thank you all so much.

On visiting the home I find caring, cheerful staff who treat the residents with care and respect. At all times we are informed of any medical problem or any other needs. The home is very clean and tidy. Anyone who has a relative in the home can be assured they are in good hands and will get the care they need.

We have had to take the sad decision to put my mum's partner in a care home. We had no idea how to do this, especially during the lockdown. We had one recommendation for Maun View from a family friend, so I rang on the off chance and found the staff to be very helpful, informative and knowledgeable. They worked very hard with me to make the whole process as painless as possible. I could only comment on some points as it was his first day and I was unable to look around, due to the virus.

The care home is situated in lovely surroundings. It has just been renovated to a very high standard. All rooms have new TVs and en-suite facilities. There are some lovely small lounges and a large function room where residents do daily activities. Food is cooked on-site, so is always fresh with a varied menu. There is a laundrette and hair salon, a lovely self-service cafe and a garden area. My wife has been a resident for two years, and I can't praise the staff for the loving dignified care enough.

I have always been very happy with the care and support of my mum, who has been in Maun View for about 6 years. Over the current crisis, their support and communication has been excellent, keeping us informed on a regular basis of events and the health situation of my mum on a regular basis.

My father was placed at Maun view under emergency conditions and it was so incredibly fortuitous as it is a wonderful care home with incredible staff and facilities. I live abroad and it is a huge comfort to know that my father is being taken care of so well when I am so far away. I am very impressed with the smiling professionalism I have encountered and the general real " care " the residents receive. They were very quick to protect residents and staff during the Covid-19 scare and continue to act responsibly so that everyone is safe. The lovely activity coordinator came in especially on a Sunday for Fathers day so that the relatives could talk to their Father or Grandfather on Zoom. This is just one example of how the staff go over and above at Maunview and I would not hesitate to recommend it as an excellent care home.

Mum has been well cared for by the kind, knowledgeable, consistent staff. They have got to know her well, consider her preferences and work hard to make sure she is content. The new manager is especially experienced and capable, and nothing is missed. They are all proactive in ensuring safety and wellbeing, and we are contacted promptly if they have any concerns, and we feel able to ask questions. The activities coordinator has got speakers for Skype calls so that Mum can hear us easily while we're not allowed to visit during the pandemic, and she is flexible so that we can speak at a time that suits Mum but also fits with work calls and commitments. We have got to know the staff well in the time Mum has been at Maun View, and they have a genuine concern for her.

My aunt appears to be happy and content at Maun View and is cared for well. The only drawback is the laundry. For example - items of clothing have appeared in her wardrobe which do not appear to be hers. Items of clothing that have been bought for her have disappeared. Sometimes she appears to look rather unkempt but clean. Perhaps a better system in regards of laundry.

The staff and management at Maun View go the extra mile to provide outstanding care and support for the residents in their care.

My mother suffered a broken hip and following a stay in hospital returned to Maun View. All the staff have taken very good care of her to rehabilitate and facilitate her recovery and mobility. She has been monitored carefully. Any issues I have ever raised have been promptly dealt with.

Had problems in 2019 and things have improved since then. My mother in law needs assistance with eating and the provision of soft foods. She also needs to be monitored properly so she doesn't have another fall and break as she has had previously.

My mum was in Maun View for over a year. We were given one week's notice to find our mum a new home due to the nursing side closing. We were told that the home would help and support families any way they could. We had no help from them what so ever. Will never recommend Runwood Homes to anyone, disgusted in the way we were treated. Carers and nurse were lovely and caring but managers at the top, nothing.
