Overall Experience

I find this a wonderful and stimulating place to be when elderly. My Nan is looked after excellently, as she is at the end of life stage now. The staff are 100% dedicated to her wellbeing. Although not able to communicate now, the staff continue to chat to her during the time they're seeing to all her needs beautifully. The manager (since taking over from the last one) has turned the home into a fantastic place to be. Other residents look so much happier, and there's always, a peaceful tranquil feeling to the 'Troc' now. The residents look clean, and certainly tuck into their well prepared and lovely meals. I would never want a better home than 'The Troc' for my nan to spend her latter days in; I would recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent home for their relations/friends.

Emma FoxJob Title:Registered ManagerJoined: 2012

Hi, I’m Emma, and I am the Registered Manager at The Troc. I have worked in the care sector for over 14 years and began my journey here at The Troc in 2012 as a Domestic Assistant.

Over the years, I progressed through a variety of roles within the home, gaining valuable experience and developing a real passion for working in care. In 2021, I was given the opportunity to further my career by taking on a management role at one of our sister homes.

In 2024, I returned to The Troc as the Registered Manager, which felt very special as this is where my journey in care first began.

I am passionate about providing high-quality care and creating a warm, respectful environment where residents feel safe, valued and truly at home. I believe in supporting both residents and staff, and I pride myself on being approachable and always willing to listen.

If you are considering care for a loved one, I would always encourage you to visit the home, meet the team and see for yourself the welcoming environment we aim to create for our residents.
