I am so pleased my mum is in the care of Westwood. There are so many activities. Mum is never lonely. The care is first class.

My dad went into Westwood for respite after being very poorly with sepsis. We can not thank them enough for what they have done from management, reception, carers, cook and everyone involved. It’s clean, modern and everyone is caring as a family which has been a very difficult time for us all. We cannot
thank Westwood enough for all the help and advice they have given Dad and ourselves after visiting a lot of different places Westwood was by far the best.

Grandad has been in Westwood for fifteen months now. It's such a relief to know how well cared for he is. I had massive guilt about placing him in a care home - but he's settled in lovely, he's eating, taking medication and if he was at home he wouldn't be here now. Cannot recommend this place enough.

My nan moved in here in March this year and I can't thank the home enough for what they have done for her. She really loves life again, she goes to all the activities, has friends and loves mixing with all the people there. The staff look after her really well and are very prompt in contacting the GP
if she needs anything. I would definitely recommend this care home.

After caring for Mum for more than 2 years, it was clear to our family that her dementia condition had become too difficult for us to deal with. It was with a heavy heart that we asked for help. Mum went into Westwood, initially for two weeks respite back in April - she has been there since. We, as
a family, cannot praise the wonderful Westwood team enough. They attend to their residents' every need. Mum now has friends, something she has never had a chance to make. Well done Westwood team, you all deserve a medal.

Mum was taken into Westwood in April 2022, we didn't want this to happen as we promised Mum we wouldn't. Due to her dementia deterioration, this had to be. Wow, how well she is looked after, hydrating is fabulous, showered daily and meals are excellent. The care staff are very caring and promote independence
at all times. Management is fantastic and is very approachable, they have helped us make Mum's room home from home. All-round fantastic.

Found it really difficult to place my mum in a care home but the management and staff have been truly amazing. My mum is happy there now, with lots of friends. They have made me feel so comfortable and happy knowing that my mum is being cared for respectfully. Thank you so much!

Having to put one parent into a care home is hard enough, but letting Mum, then Dad, go into care was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Seeing the way everyone cares for them in their new home, plus seeing how well they now both look, has confirmed that this awful decision was definitely the right

As Worksop residents, we remember Westwood being built by the County Council and it has always had an excellent reputation. Since my father-in-law has lived alone (following the death of his wife two years ago) he has become increasingly frail. He is 95-years-old and although family cared for him during
lockdown, he contracted Covid. He requested Westwood when he left the hospital and he has since thrived. Excellent food, lovely staff. We know now he is safe.

My wonderful stepfather has been a resident at Westwood since August 2020. It was a difficult step to take, but his transition has been faultless. We all miss him dearly but are warmed by fact that the staff are some of the most kind-hearted individuals I have had pleasure in dealing with. Many of them,
I know he has already made attachments to and they are quickly becoming an extended family to him. For me, it's so important I am kept fully up to date with his health and wellbeing and communication with your staff is excellent, so I thank you kindly for that. This information then enables all the family to be kept up to date, via our own family chat group, so we all feel connected to him. I fully appreciate Westwood have had and continue to have, an extremely challenging role during such unprecedented times, however, your commitments to your residents has shone through. I'm sure I can speak on behalf of the family, to say we support you 100% and appreciate everything you do and continue to do for him.

My cousin has been residing at Westwood for approximately three years, in this time he has had the best care from the kind and considerate staff, they understand his needs and make sure he has enough stimulation to occupy his mind. He is always clean and well dressed whenever I visit, I have also visited
during meal times and there is a varied and substantial menu. The home is very well decorated, clean and comfortable, there is also entertainment for residents. My cousin has been encouraged to take an interest in gardening in the summer months as well. The staff are exceptional, so kind and the manager is understanding and always available to discuss any issues. I would not hesitate to recommend Westwood to anyone considering a residential care home.

My mum was looked after very well while here. On my visit today the facilities are tremendous, the staff are so attentive to the residents, the residents all have smiles on their faces and that speaks volumes. I would defiantly recommend this home as a home from home to anyone with bells on. Thank you!

Staff are warm and friendly. Happy with all the facilities in the room; they are excellent. The room always clean and tidy. The communications has been excellent during the pandemic. The home now started garden visits so I can see my dad every week.

Our Mum has been a resident in Westwood for over 5 years. During her time there she has been well cared for and has made good relationships with staff members. She is treated with respect and dignity and is kept clean and tidy.
Due to the Covid 19 outbreak, Westwood decided to close their doors
early (before the announcement from the Government) which meant that all patients and staff remained Covid free. All the staff worked really hard to ensure the safety of the residents and kept us regularly updated by txt and email of the situation. Some staff members kindly FaceTimed and let us speak to Mum over the phone. This was invaluable to us at a very worrying time.
During the lockdown period, mum has been having her hair done by staff members and they have been taking mum into the garden where she has been enjoying snacks and drinks with other residents and enjoying the fresh air.
Overall we are very happy with the care our Mum receives from the staff at Westwood.

I have been a resident for eight months. My sister-in-law also was a resident at Westwood. All staff are very good and caring. The food is very nice and staff support you and bring seconds. Overall I am very happy with the excellent care.
