Welcome to Westwood. My name is Claire, and I am the Home Manager. I joined Runwood Homes in 2012 as a Care Assistant to embark on a new challenge; to make a difference to the lives of others. Now, as the Manager of Westwood, I am still so passionate about supporting our older generation, listening to their life histories and achievements, and simply being there to make them smile. I joined the team here at Westwood in 2012 as a care assistant. I instantly became a fond member of the team and have worked hard to progress in my career, most recently achieving a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Leadership. I was promoted from care assistant to care team leader, then to Deputy Manager almost three years ago. I continue to thrive at Westwood; residents, family members, professionals, and staff all feel comfortable communicating and speak very highly of me.
I joined the team 5 years ago and have worked in the health and social care sector for many years. I have a wealth of knowledge in maintenance, health and safety, and compliance. I feel I am a valued member of the team and am always happy to help.
Nichola joined Westwood in 2018 as a domestic assistant; she instantly became a strong member of the team. Within 10 months she was promoted to Head Housekeeper and now supports a team of domestic assistants, ensuring our home remains clean, well-presented, and homely. Nichola is also the Infection Prevention Control Champion here at Westwood and takes great pride in our environment.
I joined the team here at Westwood in 2015 as a night care assistant; I progressed to night care team leader before choosing to join the front-of-house team as the home's Receptionist. I welcome all with a smile and am always happy to help.
I have been working at Westwood as the Homes Administrator for 23 years.
