My dad was in Clifton manor for over 1 year he had dementia.
Clifton manor was so caring and helpful with helping us transition my dad from living with us to permanently to living at Clifton manor as we felt guilty for having to make that decision.
The home is amazing and the staff was so lovely
with my dad making him feel comfortable and happy he was always smiling and singing with them they are so caring and treated him like he was one of their family.
The home is really clean and the food is amazing my dad actually put weight on.
My dad had his birthday there and they made a cake and sang to him and made him feel really special.
They always make family welcome when you want to visit and look after you as well in the process.
Thank you Clifton manor for looking after me and my dad you are all amazing.

My dad has enjoyed his stay here. Having dementia, he came here straight after the death of his wife. Right from the first night he arrived he has been well cared for and the staff were so welcoming and patient with him. I don't live in the area so I can't visit as often as I would like but the home
keeps me well informed and consults me for any decisions that need to be made. Its a huge relief to me that he is in safe hands and that the staff are genuinely caring and respectful of his needs. He loves his meals here and sitting outside in the garden and seems happy despite the progression of the disease. I would definitely recommend. Good job and thanks to all the brilliant staff.

After being resistant my Godmother was no longer able to cope on her own. From the start the home were very welcoming and caring, being very patient due to dementia. Since arriving and settling in I have a noticeable change for the good including gaining weight from the meals she receives and being
much happier due to the constant kind care she is receiving. The staff are always willing to speak and are always on hand for queries. It's taken a great weight off our shoulders knowing our Godmother is safe, happy and healthy despite the dementia progressing. Thank you !

My dad had been living at the home for nearly 5 years. From the moment he moved in, the staff cared and made him and me feel welcome. During Covid, they did everything they could to keep us updated. During the last few days of his life, they supported him and the family making us feel at home.
While
there has never been any doubt of the care my dad received during his time here, to witness the 24 hour love first hand that all the staff had for my dad and his well being was heartwarming and certainly helped us get through the harrowing end of life that is dementia. Without question, if I'm ever in need of a care home again this will be the place I'll choose.

The staff have been extremely helpful and caring. We could not have asked for any more. They have gone above and beyond. The home is clean and happy. Any concerns have been dealt with immediately and competently. I am very reassured that my parents are being cared for diligently and with immense patience
and compassion.

My mother spent the last 16 months of her life in Clifton Manor.
We felt she was safe and the staff looked after her well.
Neither my brother nor I lived nearby so we had to heavily rely on the staff for her care and treatment. We always felt that her needs were considered and that every effort was
made to make her life comfortable and happy.

Mum was resident at the home for the final 6 weeks of her life. She was 94, very frail and we were no longer, as a family, able to provide the nursing care she needed as she neared the end of her life.
From day 1 Mum was looked after by caring staff, who treated her with dignity and kindness throughout.
They
also dealt with family members in a friendly, courteous manner. We were often offered refreshments and we felt the staff’s desire to assist was always genuine.
We were encouraged to visit Mum throughout her short stay, could come and go at all times and ours and Mum’s need for privacy was always respected. Mum’s religious views were also similarly respected.
It’s true to say that the home could do with a lick of paint and some refurbishment but the quality of care and commitment of staff, both nursing and general care, more than made up for any cosmetic deficiencies.
All in all, we thank the staff at the home for making Mum’s final days as comfortable as possible.

My mother was a resident here for 4 years. I cannot fault the care she received in all the time she was there.
The staff were so kind to her in her final weeks. The management was in touch all the time if a problem arose.
Thank you so much from all the family.

My mother has been a resident at Clifton Manor Residential Home for some time on the residential side.
The manager is very good and helpful. Staff seem caring and want to do their best for their residents.
I do think that the fabric of the building is in need of some TLC but in these financially difficult
times the care of the residents is a priority and so it will have to wait.
Overall a good place for my mother.

My aunty is a resident at Clifton Manor and the manager of the residential side as been extremely helpful and organised everything we wanted for my aunty. She's been there a year now and is happy with the care she is getting and communication from the home/management.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (9.021)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (9.021) out of 10 for Clifton Manor Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.783 for Clifton Manor Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (57 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 69 Ratings = 4.783
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.238 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Clifton Manor Residential Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 47 registered maximum number of service users is 9.4. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.4 = 0.638
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
