Lovely care home and a special place for my Grandad! It was hard when my Grandad needed to move into a care home from his home. But Kingfisher Court made this an easier and nice experience from the start. The staff are so lovely, caring and amazing at what they do. He was also looked after, given the
care he needed and anything else he needed. The facilities are great and lots of different spaces for the residents. The entertainment is great too! The staff always have a smile on their face and willing to help in anyway possible! Thank you for all you did for my wonderful Grandad!

We recently moved my grandad to this care home after a very upsetting experience at another, where his basic care needs were evidently not being met.
The difference in the past month has been remarkable, he has gained weight and is clearly happy and thriving, as much as one can with advanced dementia.
The
staff are phenomenal, their care is genuine and they are always happy despite constantly being on their feet. We are always offered a drink and top ups, a meal if we are there (food looks and smells incredible).
We couldn't be happier with the place, my grandad is living the rest of his days in comfort, with dignity and respect he deserves, amongst people that actually care about the difference they make. Thank you everyone at RM!

I am very please all round with the care my Mim receives. Both management and staff are very professional and kind. I am always kept up to date eithnhrr care and what is happening on the home.
All I can say as you do ask for honest feedback , is that the inside of the home could do a bit of a paint
and brightening up . Mainly the corridors as they do look a bit tired .

Mum has only been in Poplars for a short time and was initially resistant to moving into residential care.
However, to my surprise and relief, and thanks to the wonderful staff, Mum has now settled in well.
It is a great comfort to me to know she is well cared for.

My wife has been in the Poplars since January 25 and I have always found that their primary function is the care of the individual. They do this with respect for the individual regardless of their mental or physical health.

On any occasion when I have had concern with my wife's care or health the

Managers and Nursing staff have listened and responded/reacted to my concerns.

The entertainment and care staff try to be inclusive as much as possible in dealing with the residents where their health permits.

Although I have no other experience of other nursing homes I would recommend anyone with relatives needing a nursing home to take a look at the Poplars.

Very happy with the care given towards my mother. She has been a resident there since 2022. The staff are always attentive, kind and caring. My mum had been previously cared for at home, but her illness resulted in a bedroom existence. She has now become much happier and made many friends. The activities
provided, especially crafts and singing, are among her favourites. I wish to thank the entire team at Pinxton Manor for improving mums quality of life and bringing back her cheeky sparkle. Merry Christmas to you all.

My mum stayed in Clifton Manor for 20 months. She had a degenerative disease which meant she lost speech and movement. This created challenges in her care as she became increasingly unable to communicate. Clifton Manor managed this challenge well and did their best to make sure mum didn't have unmet
needs. The care home treated her with kindness, dignity and love. She was very happy here and saw the carers as an extension of her family. The care was exemplary. The Home is very well managed and clean and happy. In addition to mum's care the Home offered me a safe space to spend my last few months with her. They went above and beyond to show me care, support and advice. This enabled me to be there for mum as the best version of myself. I will dearly miss them all as they have become a huge part of my life. I am so grateful for the huge amount of energy and effort expended in caring for mum and enabling me to spend time with her in her last months as her daughter not her carer.
Reply from Leigh Greensmith, Home Manager at Clifton Manor Residential HomeAmy - it was an absolute pleasure to care for such an amazing lady, mum had the ability to make everyone's day better just by smiling at them, we will miss her dearly and cherish the short time we got to spend with her. My mum was struggling to cope at home with my dad who had been diagnosed with dementia , so it was decided the best thing for him would be to go in a home for safety as my mum's health was declining , it took him a while to settle , due to him wanting to be at home where he was used to and being constantly
with my mum in a familiar place , it was a huge change for him , but he knows going home is not an option for him now and has settled , the staff are so good , attending to his needs , they are very patient and understanding, keep him occupied with activities , he's kept smart and clean which is what my dad has always been , his room is cosy and clean , I have no problem putting any of my relatives in Pinxton manor , I am very happy with the care they give from the management, nurses , carers , cooks , cleaners and everyone else there , thankyou so much for your dedication to my dad and the love and care you give , not only to him but all the other residents you have in your care x

My Dad moved into Pinxton Manor Oct 2024; from point of assessment everything has been faultless. Every single member of staff treats each resident with dignity and respect and treat them like they are their own family. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone. They do a wide range of activities daily
for residents inside the home and occasionally out in the community . Singing for the brain is regular on the activity plan and it is very heart-warming at the reaction of all residents. The personal approach Pinxton Manor staff give to each resident is very special place. Deciding for a loved one to go into a care home is never an easy decision but Pinxton Manor is a very special place and i would never hesitate for a loved one to live there.

mum has had dementia for 5 years ,unfortunately due to getting worse my dad was struggling with her during the night with her wandering around and walking about.
we decided as a family that for safety and helping dad the time had come for mum to have care home help.
we arranged a visit to look round
Pinxton Manor care home , we was greeted with a warm smile and was shown around the home . we had a detailed tour and we knew mum would be happy here.
its absolutely beautiful and clean and all the staff where friendly and spoke to us . we had a consultation at our home to go through a few questions regarding mum it was very helpful and informative.
mum started her stay in mid October her bedroom is really nice and you can take anything in to make it seem just like home,
mum absolutely loves it. all of the staff treat you like family from the very beginning and are all very courteous. Pinxton Manor as made a very hard decision for us easy and have put our minds at rest. thank you to all
Reply from Jacki Perry, Operations Manager at Pinxton ManorThank you very much for this lovely review. It means so much to know your mum and your family are happy, and I will pass on your kind words to the Pinxton Team. Mum had almost 6 very happy years in Pinxton manor. She formed many friendships with the lovely staff , who all treated her with respect, and genuine affection. Myself and my family were extremely happy with mums care , and since her passing, we feel a massive part of our lives has changed. They were
wonderful with her, and we will miss them all. Letting mum go into care was incredibly difficult, but knowing she was safe in their hands was priceless.

My mum has settled in well at Woodlands and is very happy. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble and they make sure to inform me of anything to do with her health and care.
The menu on offer each day is wonderful and if my mum doesn't eat or like what is on offer,
there is always an alternative.
Not all the activities are to my mums liking and recently (due to illness) she has complained of there not being much to do but on the whole it is good.
There have been a few occasions (generally at the weekend) when I have been kept waiting to be let in but other than that, I think Woodlands nursing home and staff are great.
Reply from Jacki Perry, Operations Manager at The WoodlandsThank you so much for your positive comments and constructive feedback. We are pleased your mum is settled and enjoys her meals, as this is very important. I have passed on your kind words to the team and have also asked the activities team to chat with you and your mum about things she might like to do to occupy her time, as this is also very important for her wellbeing.
I'm sorry you have been kept waiting on occasions. We understand this is frustrating and we do remind staff to listen out for the door, but it is sometimes inevitable if everyone is busy with residents. We are lucky to have the inside porch, so at least people aren't waiting outside. Thank you again, your feedback is really appreciated.

All the carers are great with my mum. She has started having baths instead of showers and she seems to like them better. She likes trips out and hopefully she will be taken out a little more in the future. They go to garden centres etc. Although my mum has Alzheimer's and doesn't really know me (or
anyone) anymore, when I ask if she is ok and happy she does reply 'yes'. If mum is happy then so am I. I special shout out to Katie, Kim, and Paula.

My mother became a resident at the Rutland nursing home in March 2024 and I was very apprehensive following poor care at a previous home. Within one week I was blown away by the level of care my mother received and this continued for another 18 months until my mother passed away. Throughout my mother's
time in Rutland the management team and staff provided exemplary service, communication and care for my mother.
Very special thanks to all the team at Rutland. You should be very proud and I am so thankful.

From the first day to the final passing of my mum the care all staff gave my mum was of such a high standard. Obviously each person living in this envonment has different needs but for my mum it was of an excellent standard.
The dignity shown when mum passed was so lovely I can honestly recommend this
care home to any family member who has to have support with living in old age.
The activity schedule set weekly is excellent and seasonal events are such a lovely thing you can get involved in.
If you want additional services like hair dresser or nail technicians services it's all available.
Basically nothing is too much trouble at Pinxton manor which shows me training of all staff is well maintained.

Mum was only in for just over 8 week before sadly passing away. Although she felt too unwell to join in with most activities she liked to be invited to them. She always spoke well of all the staff. Her appetite was very poor but she said what she managed to eat was very nice and she liked the choices.
She liked the view from her room
