I would have no hesitation in recommending Poplars to anyone who is considering a place for their loved one, Poplars is a happy, friendly care home with a lovely atmosphere with caring and approachable staff and management.

All the staff are very gentle and understanding with her and I could not ask for any more as my mum has quite advanced dementia and can be quite challenging at times.

Initially, my wife had difficulty with the adjustment to living

Thank you for sharing your comments with ourselves and providing me the opportunity to respond. I have spoken with the home manager and she has advised me this matter is under investigation having been raised by a relative. I understand it is difficult when you visit the home if you are on the area where your nanna lives as sometimes people's behaviour when living with Dementia may be unpredictable at times. Perhaps it may be more suitable to encourage your relative to have your visit in a different part of the home if they are willing. At the home, we record all care given to residents on a MPOC, which is a handheld phone and all staff have their own device which is allocated by the company. If there is any further information we can provide for you, please do not hesitate to ask the manager or ask for my email address and contact me direct.
