Lovely care home and a special place for my Grandad! It was hard when my Grandad needed to move into a care home from his home. But Kingfisher Court made this an easier and nice experience from the start. The staff are so lovely, caring and amazing at what they do. He was also looked after, given the
care he needed and anything else he needed. The facilities are great and lots of different spaces for the residents. The entertainment is great too! The staff always have a smile on their face and willing to help in anyway possible! Thank you for all you did for my wonderful Grandad!

My mum stayed in Clifton Manor for 20 months. She had a degenerative disease which meant she lost speech and movement. This created challenges in her care as she became increasingly unable to communicate. Clifton Manor managed this challenge well and did their best to make sure mum didn't have unmet
needs. The care home treated her with kindness, dignity and love. She was very happy here and saw the carers as an extension of her family. The care was exemplary. The Home is very well managed and clean and happy. In addition to mum's care the Home offered me a safe space to spend my last few months with her. They went above and beyond to show me care, support and advice. This enabled me to be there for mum as the best version of myself. I will dearly miss them all as they have become a huge part of my life. I am so grateful for the huge amount of energy and effort expended in caring for mum and enabling me to spend time with her in her last months as her daughter not her carer.
Reply from Leigh Greensmith, Home Manager at Clifton Manor Residential HomeAmy - it was an absolute pleasure to care for such an amazing lady, mum had the ability to make everyone's day better just by smiling at them, we will miss her dearly and cherish the short time we got to spend with her. Thank you for such positive feedback we are only a phone call away if you need us.

From the first day Mum was welcomed warmly , put at ease and given a loving home . A massive move for her leaving her home with dementia and also being very unwell .
Thinking she was going in for terminal care , what a surprise when she perked up , started eating , mobilizing independently and enjoying
the company of both residents and staff .
She truly had a few lovely months when she was very happy .
Helping staff with " cleaning" and " looking after her patients " having spent a life always being busy and a career in nursing .
The staff encouraged and allowed her to potter around .
Mum was also a night owl at times , imagine our surprise when our " poorly " mum was now staying up late and listening to reggae music with another resident , and if food was wanted even late into the night it was provided .
Mum slowly deteriorated, dementia and a great age eventually caught up with her , but even when bed bound had such fabulous care we could not have asked for more. Thank you.
Reply from Mandy Reeves, Operations Manager at Clifton Manor Nursing HomeThankyou for the lovely comments. It is so good to see Mum was able to be involved in the things which were important to her and that the team were able to support these.

Clifton Manor cared for my grandmother from June 2023 to June 2025 - a full two years - and in that time, the quality of care she received was truly exceptional. She had previously spent time in two other care homes, both with newer facilities, but the staff there couldn't compare to those at Clifton
Manor. What really matters in care is the people, and in this respect, Clifton Manor stands out. The nursing staff were not only highly skilled but also warm, professional, and compassionate. They treated my grandmother with dignity, respect, and genuine kindness every single day. My mother visited daily and quickly formed close bonds with many of the staff. They were always friendly, welcoming, and most importantly, receptive to her feedback. It was clear they were committed to providing the very best care possible, and they worked closely with us to ensure my grandmother's individual needs were always understood and met. We are incredibly grateful for everything they did.

My dad was in Clifton manor for over 1 year he had dementia.
Clifton manor was so caring and helpful with helping us transition my dad from living with us to permanently to living at Clifton manor as we felt guilty for having to make that decision.
The home is amazing and the staff was so lovely
with my dad making him feel comfortable and happy he was always smiling and singing with them they are so caring and treated him like he was one of their family.
The home is really clean and the food is amazing my dad actually put weight on.
My dad had his birthday there and they made a cake and sang to him and made him feel really special.
They always make family welcome when you want to visit and look after you as well in the process.
Thank you Clifton manor for looking after me and my dad you are all amazing.
Reply from Mandy Reeves, Operations Manager at Clifton Manor Residential HomeThankyou for your lovely comments and sharing your experiences of Clifton Manor. My dad has enjoyed his stay here. Having dementia, he came here straight after the death of his wife. Right from the first night he arrived he has been well cared for and the staff were so welcoming and patient with him. I don't live in the area so I can't visit as often as I would like but the home
keeps me well informed and consults me for any decisions that need to be made. Its a huge relief to me that he is in safe hands and that the staff are genuinely caring and respectful of his needs. He loves his meals here and sitting outside in the garden and seems happy despite the progression of the disease. I would definitely recommend. Good job and thanks to all the brilliant staff.

After being resistant my Godmother was no longer able to cope on her own. From the start the home were very welcoming and caring, being very patient due to dementia. Since arriving and settling in I have a noticeable change for the good including gaining weight from the meals she receives and being
much happier due to the constant kind care she is receiving. The staff are always willing to speak and are always on hand for queries. It's taken a great weight off our shoulders knowing our Godmother is safe, happy and healthy despite the dementia progressing. Thank you !

My husband has advanced Alzheimer's and moved to Kingfisher Court in September. The staff have been so welcoming and supportive to the whole family. Nothing is too much trouble. The manager, too, is very friendly but professional, empathetic, understanding, and supportive.
There is an open-door policy
for families the food is fantastic and the rooms are clean and homely.

My dad had been living at the home for nearly 5 years. From the moment he moved in, the staff cared and made him and me feel welcome. During Covid, they did everything they could to keep us updated. During the last few days of his life, they supported him and the family making us feel at home.
While
there has never been any doubt of the care my dad received during his time here, to witness the 24 hour love first hand that all the staff had for my dad and his well being was heartwarming and certainly helped us get through the harrowing end of life that is dementia. Without question, if I'm ever in need of a care home again this will be the place I'll choose.

Mum is very well cared for. I get phone calls regularly to check that we're happy with the level of care. She's settled well at Kingfisher Court.
The carers are very attentive and seem to know Mum really well and are able to manage her needs.
NB: Rooms satisfactory, as relatively basic but clean and
functional. Value for money because now paying privately (ouch!). Activities satisfactory as don't always evidence them.

My mother entered Clifton Manor Nursing Home in June 2023, with chronic dementia, osteoarthritis, ischaemic heart disease, and acute kidney disease. The staff have been absolutely brilliant, showing huge compassion and love as well as great skill. She was admitted to QMC with pneumonia 2 weeks ago,
and when it became clear that the drugs were not going to work, the staff at Clifton Manor asked for her to be returned to the home so that she could be looked after by them for her last days. She passed away last week, and the staff could not have done more for her. Many of the staff have worked there for years and show incredible understanding of the needs of dementia patients: my mother could not have been an easy person to look after, but I can honestly say that they made her final year a very happy one. It does feel like a family.
Thank you all very much!

I can’t thank the staff at Clifton Manor Nursing Home enough for the love, care, compassion, dignity and support they gave to my granddad who had been in their care for 2 years plus. The staff from management, receptionist and nursing staff go above and beyond not only for their residents but for the
families too.
My granddad was put on end-of-life and I can’t express enough how comforting it was with the support of the staff there, he sadly passed away with me and other family by his side in the care of Clifton Manor Staff and I wouldn’t change anything. As much as I will miss him, I will miss the staff too as they made me feel like family.
Thank you all so much.
