Staff + management are welcoming + friendly, they treat all the residents with dignity, in a happy relaxed atmosphere. They have been prompt at noticing any changes in mum's health or mood, requesting the doctor when necessary, + always keeping me well informed + up to date. Although Mum's appetite is not very good, she says the food is very nice + an alternative is given if requested. They were keen to keep residents hydrated during the hot summer + at all times. Mum's health, mobility, + well being have all improved in the 12 months she's been at Ashgrove House.

After a terrible experience at a nearby care home last year, I was reluctant to book respite again for my husband. We were recommended Ashgrove House. From my first unannounced visit, I was welcomed in to view the home and I instantly knew it would be perfect for him. Immaculate and fresh throughout with a lovely family atmosphere. My husband had a months respite, everytime we visited him he was calm, relaxed and happy. Each member of staff were genuinely kind, caring and respectful. His condition is rare and unheard of by staff but it was evident they followed his care plan and were always interested to learn more. They met his needs everyday and shown real interest in life book which they all read. I can not thank everyone enough, it exceeded our expectations. We all felt part of the family. The food was lovely and fresh. All residents appeared happy, clean and smartly dressed and were treated with so much respect. Petting Ponies were an added bonus! We will be back for sure.

My father has been in Ashgrove House exactly 12 months. On the whole, I have found the staff and facilities to be more than satisfactory. Most of the residents have varying needs and various dispositions, and the staff meet the task with care and compassion.

Mum has settled in nicely. Mum is pleased with the attention she got when she was poorly. The carers are all very pleasant and obliging. Happy with her room very clean and towels always changed.

Thank you for your review . we have an activites co ordinator who does the activities 9 - 1 everyday we also have a programe of singers , pet therapy and dementia ponies booked into the home . please contact managment for any updates.

Across all of the domains below, we are happy that all her needs are being met. I have filled this form with my grandma about her experiences. When dad first arrived at Ashgrove, he hadn't been walking for around three months, since being here around 4 weeks. He is now walking with the aid of a walking frame. The staff are very encouraging and help when needed.

My dad has settled in so well. All staff are amazing, very caring and very interactive food is excellent, the rooms very clean and tidy. I'm so, so happy with the care home. I can go home knowing my dad's being well looked after.
