Friendly staff always happy to help. It has been a tough time but they have helped ease our worries. Mum has settled in and staff have been prompt at informing family of any issues mum has had.

The care + compassion shown to our Grandma has been truly remarkable. The staff have endless patience, understanding and kindness, and they treat residents with real dignity. Knowing our grandma is safe, respected and genuinely cared for brings us great comfort. We are deeply thankful for everything
they do. And grandma says they make a good cup of tea!

From the start of my mum's addmission to the care home everything has been excellent, with her care, handling of difficult situations. The positive and immediate response to keep my mums mental and positive attitude has been 1st class. Even my 1st visit to view the home I was exitied and very eagar
to get my mum resided here. I was very impressed with management and the staff at that time. My mum settled in quite quickly and I have absolutely no worries about her care here. It is very difficult job but you all do excellent.

Dad spent six months living at Ashgrove before he passed away in June at 95 years. Myself and my brother were unsure how we would like living in a home, as he had been very independent. Dad loved being at Ashgrove from the first day. he liked the food, the activities and the company. The staff always
treated him with kindness and respect, and I never felt I was an intrusion as a visitor. Medical needs are well managed, and there is a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

My mum has been in this care home for nearly 18 months now. It is an excellent home and I can recommend it 100%. All the management and carers are fabulous. Always happy and friendly. They all treat Mum with care and dignity. They always make time for her even though they are busy. It is always clean
and welcoming. Mum is always smiling and laughing with her friends she has made. This all makes me feel happy with no worries at all.

This is for anyone who is in the process of finding a care home for a relative, It would be difficult to find anywhere that will compare with Ashgrove House. The standard of compassion, care and love the carers give their residents, Is outstanding. My mother was a resident here for nine years before
she recently passed away at age 102. This is a testament to how well she was cared for.
During her stay, she always felt valued and was treated with affection and respect every day. I personally considered the staff to be friends, who carried out their duties with confidence and patience.
I am so glad that I found Ashgrove House for my mum, I couldn't have wished for anywhere better.

My uncle has been at the care home now for a few months and the care he has and is still receiving is fantastic all the staff I have spoken to have been friendly and helpful. If I have a question or a concern they are always happy to help and make sure that my uncle gets everything he needs. Also, the
care home is a friendly and inviting environment.

Myself and my brother visit our auntie every week, we are made to feel welcome on every visit. The staff are attentive to both residents and visitors. The staff take patients' safety very seriously, and I feel assured that my auntie is always well cared for and treated with dignity. The rooms are pleasant
and spotlessly clean. We couldn't recommend Ashgrove House highly enough.

This is an amazing care home. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. During the recent Euro football, they have even made a separate lounge area to watch the matches so those that do not like football have a choice. They have provided snacks, along with shandy and made
it feel like the residents have gone out to watch the football. I can sleep well knowing that my dad is well looked after and cared for.

Very happy with the care facility, amazing, friendly staff who are always happy to have a conversation and are very supportive.
Mum is always clean, well dressed and is happy.
I haven't commented on the activities because unfortunately they have been between staff, recently a new activity coordinator
has started.

My mum has been at Ashgrove for just over 1 year now and I cannot fault the home at all. The care and support that my mum has received has been second to none and all the staff are kind, caring and compassionate in everything they do. Not only do the staff care for my mum but also make us a family feel
like it is home from home, when visiting the staff always have a smile on their faces and you can hear laughter throughout the home. The home is always clean and tidy and has no odours. My mum is always treated with dignity and care even though my mum can be quite challenging at times. The meals are all homemade and traditional which is what my mum has always liked. If for any reason my mum doesn't like what is on the menu the kitchen staff are more than happy to make an alternate choice for her. The management team are very approachable and are always very welcoming. I have definitely made the best choice of care home for my mum at Ashgrove House.

The facilities in the home are high quality and bedrooms are very comfortable but it's the staff and management which really make this home. They put on lots of events in the home and everyone is made to feel very welcome. The staff treat all individual needs and really care for each resident. We looked
at a few homes before we chose this one and it's worth waiting for if you can't get in immediately. You won't find a more caring and fun group of staff to take care of your loved ones.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.830)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.830) out of 10 for Ashgrove House Care Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 39 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.830 for Ashgrove House Care Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (393 Excellents x 5) + (66 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 465 Ratings = 4.83
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Ashgrove House Care Ltd is based on 39 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 33 registered maximum number of service users is 6.6, which has been reached with 39 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
