Stoneswood is a privately owned care home in the beautiful village of Delph, Saddleworth.

The home provides 45 beds, the majority of which have wet rooms or en-suite facilities and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. There are multiple lounges, dining areas and plenty of space for relaxing or socialising within the home. The home also has it's own on-site café called "The Lodge" set within the grounds, which is a perfect place for a coffee & catch up with residents & families.

Stoneswood specialises in residential & dementia care and accommodates both short term respite stays, and more long term support.

We visit our family friend in Stoneswood on a regular basis. Each time we go, we are greeted with welcoming and friendly staff who can't do enough for you. There is always something going on for the residents to enjoy, and the food is lovely. The home is exceptionally clean and well maintained. It's
more like a hotel than a home. I would highly recommend Stoneswood and definitely the best home around.

My mum moved into Stoneswood 5 and a half years ago. It is an excellent home and beautiful inside and out. It is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. All the staff have been brilliant with my mum. Although she had dementia, she is very happy and well looked after. I visit regularly and there is
always a welcoming atmosphere. I wouldn't want her to be anywhere else.

I live in the Netherlands but manager to visit my mother several times a year. The staff and management are very accommodating when my family and I visit during a busy time. Everyone here is welcoming kind and compassionate. There have been many occasions when I have been upset when having to say goodbye
to my mother. The amazing people here support not only mu mum but also me. Their care and professionalism is second to none and I leave knowing my mother is in the best possible home.

I have nothing but praise for the staff at Stoneswood. They are very patient sometimes in difficult circumstances. My gran is treated with dignity and thoroughly enjoys all the entertainment provided.
The home is kept clean and odourless! The food is of very high quality.

Having looked at many homes in the area and asking questions regarding care for our mum, Stoneswood met all our needs. The staff are friendly, hardworking and helped settle our mum into the home. I feel I can approach staff regarding any issues I have and I feel we have an open and honest relationship.
The home is always immaculate, smells clean and fresh and a lovely atmosphere.

It was essential to our family to find the right home to suit my sister needs. We looked at many homes in the area. Stoneswood stood out to us from walking through the door. We were welcomed by the very friendly staff. The home was immaculate with a homely atmosphere. My sister settled well and enjoys
the benefits of feeling safe. Nothing is ever too much trouble for the team. We feel happy and contented knowing my sister is being cared for by such dedicated people.

I visit my mum everyday at Stoneswood the care she receives is amazing, the staff are very attentive and respect her needs and dignity. I am offered a drink when I arrive and lunch if I cal at meal times. My mum is happy and joins in with all the activities she loves the volunteers who help out with
the activities couldn't have found a better care home for her.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Would come into this home myself if it was required. Can come at any time and always welcomed by staff with a cup of tea. We are extremely satisfied with the standard of care. The staff are lovely, treating the residents with the utmost care, dignity and patience.

Myself and my family cannot praise Stoneswood and its staff highly enough. Everyone who works there from the management to the carers are wonderful. The way they care for my dad who has Alzheimer's is a source of great comfort to us as a family. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone who works there
and they care so much for the well-being of all the residents. In the 3 years that dad has been at Stoneswood we have never had cause for complaint. The home is beautifully decorated as are all the bedrooms. To know that dad is so well cared for when we cannot be with him is of great comfort to us all. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Stoneswood. Making the decision to use a care home for a relative is not an easy one to make for families but the management and staff at Stoneswood helped us so much at the beginning. They know all our names and you really do get the sense that they care for dad as much as we do.

Mum came to Stoneswood in June 2015 previously to that she had been in care for 2 years in what i would describe as mediocre at best, coming to Stoneswood has been like a dream come true for both my mother and myself. For the first time i am assured of her well being and happiness. The standards are
second to none. Mum now looks clean, contented and has regained the weight she lost previously in her last care home. I am so grateful to the manager and her team for providing the best possible care and attention in fantastic surroundings. It just goes to show that excellent standards can be maintained in a care home setting.

After months of deep concerns on the prospect of my wife going into care I was persuaded, reluctantly, to accept the inevitability of it. She went into Stoneswood on 1st September 2015 and I have visited her nearly every day since. Everything about Stoneswood is excellent- the level of care, cleanliness
(there's absolutely no odour so often associated with care homes) quality and quantity of food, capability of the staff and the management. I know now that my fears were groundless. Top marks Stoneswood in every aspect.

My mother-in-law has been at Stoneswood for many years now, and I have witnessed her deterioration over this time due to her severe dementia. However, her care and support she has received has been exemplary, in every sphere, both physical and mental. All residents are treated with great dignity and
respect which I often feel is extremely important as many residents find it difficult to communicate what there needs are. She has faced many difficult situations over the years, but the staff have always been very knowledgeable, supportive and kind. We are always contacted swiftly by the management team when an issue arises so that she receives the best course of action for her, and her associated problems. Care is often an emotive subject and knowing how well she is looked after, gives our family a real sense of relief and confidence that we have done our very best for her at this late stage of her life. The home itself has undergone some fantastic structural changes to its building over the years, and it now has a great mix of modern facilities, in a warm and friendly home like environment. A true test is being able to walk into Stoneswood at any time of day or night, and knowing that what you are seeing is normal everyday good practice! Well done to all!

I visited Stoneswood recently and was really impressed. The staff are absolutely amazing, nothing was too much trouble. They are all happy in their work and talk to the residents and laugh with them all the time. The Xmas decorations and the entertainment over Xmas was fabulous. There was always something
going on. My friend is so happy here, it really is just like being part of a large happy family. The cleanliness of the home is unbelievable too. It's virtually like a 5* hotel.

The home was of excellent quality, the staff well trained and very attentive. Mum settled quickly aided by the atmosphere around the home in general.


Of all the homes we visited and researched this proved to be by far the best and most suitable.

Would have no hesitation recommending this home

My nan went into Stoneswood for approximately 3 weeks for respite care. We were very happy with everything from the quality of care she received, cleanliness, quality of food and their attention to detail. Staff were cheerful and polite.


Her room had all mod cons, really well equipped and decorated

to a high standard with a lovely en suite.


Staff were attentive and the communication between them and us as a family was good. I would have no hesitation in recommending Stoneswood for respite or long term residential care.
