Bryn Haven is a delightful property that has been refurbished and upgraded specifically to suit adults with complex mental health conditions and dementia.

It is located in the Brinnington area of Stockport with close links to the local pedestrianised shopping area and health centre.

The home can accommodate up to 41 residents, offering a choice of communal lounges, including a wonderful, large conservatory, which provides a bright and airy seating area.

Residents can enjoy a game of dominoes, or snakes and ladders in the games room, or choose to take in some fresh air in the newly refurbished summerhouse.

Bryn Haven is also suitable for residents with mobility issues, with carers always working to understand the needs of each individual person.

Overall, I am satisfied with the care that my mother receives. As I live in Canada, I am in regular contact with my brother and sister and they keep me very well informed. The staff are friendly, kind, and respectful.
The one area that is sadly lacking is communication. We would like to see a newsletter,
photos and be informed in a timely manner of any changes to our mother's health and behaviour.
Also, for the families of new residents, a booklet containing information regarding settling their loved ones into Bryn Haven would be most helpful. I have suggested this previously. eg what to bring to their bedroom, names being put in clothing. The little things that are not obvious to newcomers. Maybe a volunteer could handle this.

We were very worried about putting my dad into a home as we have always looked after him since his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. But we can’t thank the staff enough at Bryn Haven. They made the transition so easy for my dad and us. From the start, on his first day, letting me sit while he ate lunch and go
to his room to settle him in, or when we were ringing constantly to find out how he was doing and doing facetime with us when we couldn’t get there, to now keeping us informed if he’s had a fall or what the doctor has said. When you go for a visit, the staff are always really lovely and helpful. They have a new events coordinator now that sends me fab pictures and has asked what my dad's interests are. If you are worried about aftercare for your loved ones, I would definitely recommend this friendly, happy home.

Bryn Haven is a fabulous place I’m a carer who looks after a lady who went in in June for respite. She had a great time all the staff looked after her as it was her first time in a care home. The conservatory was lovely especially when I visited all precautions were adhered too. Lots of things going
on if you wanted to join in or quiet place to sit and relax. My lady cried when she had to come home which told me she was well looked after and I would recommend Bryn Haven to anyone who has doubts about placing there loved ones into care. Exceptional staff and lovely people to talk too. Well done to all.

Dad was admitted to Bryn Haven in January 2021 after spending 6 weeks in hospital. From the day he arrived, he was treated with great care and empathy, by all of the staff. Whilst dad was in pain from a variety of medical issues and he was diagnosed with dementia whilst he was there, they ensured he
was looked after. They sought to understand his likes and dislikes, and as his stay was whilst the pandemic was in progress, ensured we as a family could see him as often as we wanted to. (Initially via the pod but also latterly visiting him in the home). A lovely bright place.

My mum has been a resident of Bryn Haven since before Christmas. The first time we went to look round, it felt so homely, smelt so clean and was spotless. The staff are wonderful, so friendly and lovely with the residents. You worry when a loved one goes into care, but we have no worries with the care
our mum gets. Thank you to everyone for giving our family peace of mind.

My mum spent 6 months at Bryn Haven after leaving a private residential care home when she got diagnosed with Dementia. My siblings and I visited many homes as we were determined that Mum was only going to the best. As soon as we walked into Bryn Haven we would feel the warm, friendly atmosphere and
it felt so homely. We could not fault any of the staff, they were so caring and approachable their like one big happy family. Whilst my mum was there, she went on several day trips with them which she thoroughly enjoyed, it was great that family and friends were welcome on the trips as well. Sadly, Mum passed away recently due to other medical problems. We cannot thank the staff enough for their love and support at that difficult time. Two members of the staff even attended Mum's funeral which meant so much to the family. We would highly recommend Bryn Haven as we know that Mum was very happy there. Thank you again to all the wonderful staff and residents.

My mum has been a resident in Bryn Haven for nearly 5 months. I was reluctant for her to go into a care home but she has been treated with compassion and all the staff have been so patient and caring. She has dementia and she can be a challenge. They have also shown care and helpfulness to my dad who
visits on a daily basis by inviting him to events. One thing that is missing is exercise to mobile her.

My Gran stayed at Bryn Haven for about 2 years & having worked in different homes and also having to use different homes for respite for my Gran I have to say that Bryn Haven is a fantastic home, I would highly recommend this home to any relative that is anxious about putting their loved one into a
home safe in the knowledge that they will truly be taken care of and safe with Bryn Haven. I lived with my Gran for nearly three years after she suffered a brain haemorrhage at the age of 90, she, unfortunately, passed away on the 6th April 2018 & although I miss her so much I’m extremely grateful to this home for the care they took looking after her. Thanks to all staff at Bryn Haven, I will never forget your kindness and the way you cared for my Gran.

My mum has been in Bryn Haven for a few months now and I can honestly say I am pleased we got her a place there. It is a lovely home, very clean and all the staff are very nice and caring. My mum is nearly 103 and likes it in the home.

My dad has settled in very well. I was a little bit apprehensive at first about how my dad would settle in but once I knew he was happy I was more relaxed.


In terms of staff, they have been great, although I feel that there are not enough on duty for the number of residents that live at Bryn Haven.

Overall I am satisfied with the service and my dad is happy.

My mum has lived at Bryn Haven for nearly a year now and we, as a family, are more than happy with the care she receives.
All the staff are so friendly and there’s always a welcoming ‘hi’ when we see them. Any issues or worries we have had (there haven’t been many) have been dealt with and resolved
straight away. Nobody wants their relative to have to go into care and it’s a decision not taken lightly, but everyone at Bryn Haven has made this much easier for us. We would have no hesitation recommending Bryn Haven to anyone.

This wonderful home has cared for my father for the last four years with advanced dementia. The team have been wonderful during that time; always loving and caring of my Dad and a source of constant support and care for my Mum too.
My Dad died last week and the team could not have been more professional,
kind and considerate. They clearly loved my Dad and it meant the world to us, as his family.

Couldn't wish for my mum to be in a better care home. Friendly, patient and very caring staff who always go above and beyond the call of duty! My mum is always lovingly cared for and treated with kindness and dignity.


The trips and activities that are planned are brilliant and great value for money.

My mum always thoroughly enjoys them and I really appreciate the effort the staff put in to making them happen.

My husband started suffering from vascular dementia 17 years ago. I took care of him for 13 years with gradually worsening health. Eventually, I had to listen to my children and find somewhere for him to go.
I think I hit the jackpot with Bryn Haven. He is very well cared for, well fed and most importantly
happy!
Though he no longer walks or talks and has to be assisted with meals, he is always treated with patience and respect.
As I visit him at very odd times and they never know when I am coming I have observed their care first hand. Never once have I felt his dignity was being compromised.
Full marks to all the staff at Bryn Haven.

We have found the staff at Bryn Haven to be caring and loving which is exactly what you need when a loved one makes the transition to a care home. My mum has been eating better she enjoys the food and activities and has a sparkle in her eye. The staff are extremely busy but always happy to speak to
family members and update us regularly.

The management are professional and deal with issues immediately. Their strong leadership and caring attitude creates a very positive and caring culture amongst the staff. All the staff are extremely helpful, kind and happy even when very busy. The food is excellent and home made.
The home is cleaned
daily and it's done to a high standard. The home has activities often. I am so relieved and happy that my mum lives here.

I would like to recommend Bryn Haven Care Home as a really lovely care home. My mum is a resident there and since moving in I am very pleased with the care and support we have been given by all staff at the home. They all are very kind, friendly, and very attentive to all the residents there. They have
made all the family welcome and have helped Mum settle in with all the kindness and support she needed. As a family, we all are happy with all their support they have given us.

I'm extremely happy about the way my mum is being cared for, she has only been here a few weeks and already she is putting on weight and her feeding abilities are coming back. Staff are always there to help if we need them, so glad my mum is being cared for by this care home. Thank you to all the staff.
