My brother Peter suffers with dementia and is a resident at Daisy Nook. I visit him at least twice weekly, find him clean, well-dressed and in good humour. All the staff are caring, friendly, efficient, and listen to everything I mention about Peter. They all care for him 100% and I'm delighted we chose Daisy Nook for Peter's care.

I didn't want Nana to go into a home, I still don't want her to be in a home - it's the "next stage", isn't it? However, she's happy, she's safe and she's looked after. I was worried that she'd be left in a chair - just existing. That's not the case! She's cared for, she's kept active and she's more than entertained. The staff are amazing - they care and really look after the residents. The amount of respect that is shown is wonderful. The residents are treated as people - genuinely it's a great place.

My nanna has been a resident at Daidy Nook House for approx 2 months. We were very apprehensive at first, only because my nanna had always lived alone. Nanna has settled in so well, she is so content and has made so many new friends. The staff here are absolutely incredible and my nanna is so very well looked after. It's a pleasure to see her so happy and well.

I think the care provided is a s good or if not better than most care homes in the Tameside area. Staff are very attentive and caring and go out of their way to help and assist residents needs. I am not than satisfied with the care provided to my father.

We chose this care home back in March 2024 because of friendliness of the staff and welcome we received. It was clear then and still now how the residents are cared for and the activities they plan create an environment where the residents can join in. Our mum really enjoys the Friday afternoon singer where with the family members creates a lovely atmosphere.

I would definitely recommend this home and it is certainly worth a visit.

An excellent caring home for my mother. I have nothing but praise, my mother really enjoys the regular entertainment where she can sing a long and dance. We always wanted mum to be safe and comfortable, with Daisy nook house that is exactly what you get.

From my first contact the staff as Daisy Nook have been amazing. My mum is settling in well, eating well and being encouraged to take part in all the activities. She is treated with respect and dignity and, should the need arise, the staff communicate with me immediately. Its a weight off my mind to know she will not be able to wander outside on her own - a constant worry for me in her previous accommodation. The social media posts are so welcome, seeing her when I cannot be there is so reassuring.

Whilst it was a hard decision to place a loved one in a care home - even though "its the right time" I cannot be happier with Daisy Nook. I'm so pleased they could offer her a place and their kindness and professionalism to all their residents shines through in everything they do.

The initial contact with the home was very positive. All staff friendly and helpful. Witnessed level of care first hand from Management and Carers. Exceeded my expectations. All staff respectful and caring towards residents. Activity coordinator a real asset to the home.

So reassuring as to the level of care residents receive.

Daisy Nook House is a lovely, caring and friendly place. Bright and clean. The staff are all brilliant and the care my mum receives is second to none. She needs help getting around, as can no longer walk independently, and has to have a special puréed diet. The staff deal with these matters with utmost care and attention. There are plenty of activities the residents are encouraged to join in, but not forced to. Personal preferences are taken into consideration. Mum is very happy in the home and this is a great relief to our family. Before moving to the home our visits to mum involved looking after her between carer calls and we were constantly worried how she would be when left on her own. Now visiting mum is a pleasure. We all have peace of mind knowing she is well looked after and someone is there 24/7 should she need help. The best decision we made and I would highly recommend thus home to anyone.

My uncle has been a resident at Daisy Nook for a couple of years and we are really pleased with his care since he moved in. The staff are fantastic & really work hard to fulfill his needs. We are not local but they keep us updated through phone calls & social media groups so we can see him and know that he is being well cared for. I would not hesitate recommending Daisy Nook.

My husband has been resident at Daisy Nook House for 4 years. He is truly cared for and looked after very well there. I couldn't be happier. It is such a happy place and there is always something for the residents to do. They are not left sitting with no option but to sleep or stare at the TV. I am delighted to say the hard working staff always take time to encourage them to take part in whatever is going on at a given time. Those residents who prefer to opt out then the staff often sit with them, talking to them. This is lovely and reassuring to see as my husband is not much of a 'joiner-in'.

My daughter and I looked at many Care Homes before Daisy Nook House and no matter how much 'show' other Homes put on for visitors, some cracks are always visible, atmosphere, overall cleanliness, smell and the general feel of the place cannot be hidden. When you are looking for a home away from home for a loved one you want the very best for them and Daisy Nook House is just that.

When choosing a care home for my mum I visited several, none were as welcoming and understanding as to what Daisy Nook staff were. They took the time out to show me around the home and responded to any questions that I had.
Initially there was a waiting list for a residential place. The staff kept me up to date, and as soon as a place was available the transition from hospital to the home was done smoothly.
Mum settled in really well, with the staff ensuring that she was not isolated or feeling left out.
To date November 2025, mum feels secure and safe at Daisy Nook, she engages in activities and enjoys the companionship of other residents and staff.
To keep family members up to date, the social media page is excellent.
The staff have respect for all residents, showing care and compassion. The home is clean and well maintained.
I cannot thank the staff enough for what they do.

Thank you again.

My nan has been a resident of Daisy nook for around a year now and the staff are always quick to answer the door, flexible with visiting and trips out , and overall very friendly. They have made the situation of having her in the home massively more comfortable, particularly with the additional activities they do with all the residents. The food always looks to be good options although I still haven't had chance to try it.

Very happy with care provided to our mum. The staff overall r very caring & committed to giving the best care. They r friendly sympathetic & adapt to mums ever changing needs they also look after us as family. Nothing is too much & any concerns r always dealt with immediately.
The entertainment treats games etc r excellent ,& Lyndsey works so hard to raise funds for resident / family treats & events. She keeps everyone involved & entertained.
Can't thank them enough for making the last 18 months as stress free as possible.

Thanks to all the staff from admin; carers - cleaners & kitchen staff.

My aunty has been at Daisy Nook care home since August this year. She always tells myself and my wife how lovely the staff are, and said they can't do enough for her. She also says she can't fault the food, and that the entertainment is really good. There are numerous activities throughout the week, and her social life has improved, meeting new people, compared to when she lived alone at home.

We have met the staff and got to know them. They are always approachable and honest, answering any questions we have. Their friendly demeanour really lifts the atmosphere and we are relieved my aunty is in a lovely, safe and caring environment.
