Exceptionally welcoming, every member of staff goes above and beyond to provide care, comfort and entertainment! The Sycamores has a definite 'family' feeling, any issues are taken seriously and dealt with promptly, no matter how trivial. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Sycamores to anyone looking for a safe and happy place for their loved one(s) to be cared for.

I can't thank the staff enough for the care and compassion they've shown to my mum. From the very beginning, they made what is a difficult time feel a lot more manageable, not just for her but for me also. The team are kind, patient and genuinely attentive. Mum is always treated with dignity and respect and its clear they take time to understand her as a person, not just as a resident. The little things don't get unnoticed - whether its a friendly chat, helping he comfortable or keeping me updated.

My brother is in The Sycamores he is still very active, Alice is very active with my brother, when she can she takes out the residents that can walk or be pushed in a wheelchair, which we are grateful for. I am happy with admin and staff always plesent and understanding of there needs, anything we are worried about we see the staff or admin and they sort it out right away. As long as my brother is happy there we will let him stay.

The care team at Sycamore are one in a million. They look and care for my nana and meet her needs physically and mentally. My nana now socialises a lot and gets involved with activities. They are very caring and sympathetic towards her when she feels vulnerable. Thank you to all the staff at The Sycamore for looking after her. Julie.

The Sycamores have provided excellent care and support for Dad. They have encouraged him to socialise, found the interests and hobbies he likes. Dad always looks clean and comfortable. He loves his meals and is now eating so much better than he had been doing before he came to the home. Staff are friendly, caring and professional.

Overal experience was good. Staff informed me of any changes etc to mum. All staff including activities - Alice, Jackie, Adele, Jade, Lynn - were all polite and helped mum. Cooks were brilliant, even providing mum with beaker to make it east for mum with her drinking. I personally didn't think there was enough staff, although the ones that were there really looked after mum.

Staff are extremely professional, caring and considerate. They treat residents like a member of their own family. Also support family of the residents. Nothing is too much for the team at The Sycamores Newton. Always there with a smile, a hug and helpful information. My mother is cared for in the most brilliant way, all her needs are looked after. The food is terrific, five stars. My overall opinion is absolutely fantastic I would recommend far and wide.

Mum seems happy and content which is the most important thing for me and her. She is cared for well and has good connections with specific members of staff who she responds to although all staff are good to her. All in all a quality home with good care.

I would just like to thank all staff, carers, seniors, cleaners, just everybody! My mum has dementia and has been in hospital, when I said about going home. The only one she could remember is the cleaner, if I said his name, oh yes lovely lad she said, he talks to me about his mum and dad. So thank you! Thank you all for treating my mum with respect and dignity!

I would highly recommend The Sycamores Care Home to anyone looking to place a loved one into care. Senior care staff kept us informed of Mum's general health, any eating issues, if anything changed, any changes in medication that needed to be discussed with the GP. Even down to Mum having a blister on her hand, we were advised and treatment given. Staff treat the residents with respect, they know that the residents were all, at one time, vibrant people who had careers, families and had achieved/done wonderful things in their younger days. This is a demanding role and long hours, and staff are looking after our loved ones as we as a family are unable to do ourselves. As a family, we are very grateful for the care and attention the staff at The Sycamores have shown our mum during her time there.

My mum has said that the staff here can't do enough for her and bend over backwards for her. The only negative is the choice of doctor or pharmacy because it takes so long to get medication that has been prescribed.

Been to see my mum 4 times this week. I went last Sunday, Tuesday Friday and again Sunday 10 Sept 23. The room was dirty, with tissue on the floor and behind the TV, her photo had been knocked to the floor no one picked them up. I asked someone why has her room not been cleaned, It's been a week and I have had to clear the mess and tissues that have been there for one week. If I hadn't cleaned the room when would it have been done? I was told to send an email which I have.

I am not happy about the cleanliness of the room, not the first time this has happened, even her dirty underwear on the floor.
