Absolutely top notch care home. I cannot recommend it enough. Staff at Heathside looked after my father in law for over a year. The home is super clean, comfortable and welcoming. Aa a former nurse I have been highly impressed by the staff and the care that is taken with each individual. Philomena and staff are wonderful. The owners very nice. I felt that Richard was always being very well looked after at all times. The staff are.highly professional, emotionally intelligent and supportive. X

Our Mum moved into Heathside in January 2022 and her quality of life is 100% improved. Basically, The management and staff at Heathside have saved Mum's life, for which we are truly grateful.
We watched Mum deteriorate and be traumatised as she had her independence taken away when she moved into a nursing home!
With Heathside's holistic approach, genuine care and treating residents with dignity as well as individuals, we now have our Mum back. Mum has settled so well and enjoys spending time with her new friends in the lounge, participating in activities, eating the delicious home cooked food and is able to get up and walk around herself. Mum is safe and well cared for.

Thank you Heathside.

Heathside is a lovely place to live. My 95-year-old mother settled in very quickly. She speaks so highly of the staff, their kindness and the care she receives there. To her it is home from home. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff get to know the residents and treat them as individuals. The home is welcoming and safe. You are always greeted with a smile, whether you live there or are just visiting. I would be happy to move in, myself, if the need arose. So delighted that my Mum is a resident at Heathside.

Fantastic! Having visited numerous care providers and to be honest shocked at what was on offer I got a different feel about Heathside at my initial visit. The management were the only ones who actually took time to do a one-to-one assessment before my Mum eventually moved in therefore no surprise that Mum's room had all the correct adaptations required from the start. The management and staff are open and honest and can't fault the care and attention my mum gets. The local NHS doctor assigned to home is very proactive as are the Heathside staff. After 18 months of very frequent and often unannounced family visits, we have always found Mum to be well looked after. Mum enjoys the entertainment (especially the singers) and interacting with the staff and residents and our family have peace of mind Mum is safe and well looked after.

My father has been resident for three and a half years. He is very happy and contented, well looked after with all his personal hygiene. When he is unwell the doctor is called when necessary.

What I appreciate above all is that the staff seem to genuinely care about the residents and somehow, have time for them.

It creates a very warm atmosphere.

In addition, Heathside is clean and comfortable and the food appears to be much appreciated by the residents.

Management and staff are approachable, friendly, caring and respectful towards residents and their families. Clean and tidy internally and there have been updates and improvements recently, all beneficial to residents and their care. This is a very "Homely" care home.

Mum, who has dementia, went into Heathside for 3 weeks respite whilst I had a holiday and she has been there ever since. She has settled into all aspects of life there. The staff are wonderful in their attention to every resident. Mum likes the food and is always clean and happy. I count myself extremely lucky to have found a home for mum with first class staff, food, cleanliness and facilities.

My father has resided at Heathside since May 2016 and I am very impressed with the service received. I receive very prompt communication if my father is ill or has had a fall and the staff follow all guidelines. They always enlist the help of the appropriate health care professionals. The staff treat him with dignity at all times and are most courteous and open with family members. Food and drink are readily available and of an excellent standard.

A bit of a mixed bag really, some of the staff are lovely but then again there is a lot of staff turnover at junior levels. There is generally a willingness to help, but sometimes it can take quite a while for things to happen. From what my mother tells me the food and drinks offering is adequate but often no more than that although again a new chef can make a short term difference. Having noted the above I have no experience of other homes by which to compare.

Many thanks for your valued feedback. As Social Care requires dedicated commitment from staff with empathy unfortunately if it is found that new recruits are not suitable after induction period they then move on to other careers. The place is clean and does not smell like some care homes my brother has been in.
