I moved into Fazakerley House in 2014 and I feel this is the best move I have ever done in my life. I enjoy the company of others and have made a few friends along the way. I like the fact I can spend time in my own room either watching my own TV or listening to my radio and I don't worry about making my meals or shopping for food and the staff are very friendly, always around if you need to chat when you are worried. The care provided is excellent.

My aunt is currently resident, awaiting completion of her special care housing scheme. She has found the staff extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. She is happy with the meals although not a fan of 'buffet style' tea! She enjoys a wide variety of home cooked meals. The only downside she has is she would like more group activities like bingo and sing-alongs, maybe simple crafts. We enjoyed the family fun day.

Instead of wasting money and time sending things like this back, it would be better spent on light bulbs. My father was told he couldn't have one because of budgets!! We bought some ourselves last week.

The form was signed on behalf of our father as he cannot now use his right hand. Also since completing this, the staffing has gone to pot, with residents being left in bed until midday without drinks. Improvements required.

Reply from HC-One, Careline Team at Fazakerley House Care Home
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review.

I would like to reassure you that there is no issue with our budgets and we have plenty of stock and the ability to order as many light bulbs as we need.

I was sorry to hear when I first started, that some residents were not being assisted...
