Offering bespoke residential and residential dementia care, Fazakerley House care home is situated in the peaceful residential area of Prescot, in Merseyside.

There is much to love about this welcoming setting; residents enjoy spending time at the hair salon, in the sunny conservatory or going on trips out exploring the local area in the minibus. If they prefer the comforts of home, or are unable to venture outside, residents can also enjoy relaxation time in the range of en-suite and premier bedrooms.

Residents also benefit from quality meals prepared by the in house catering team. The care provided at the home is second to none. The care team apply their experience to get to know residents' care needs, carrying out regular reviews so they are able to respond to any changes. Since my mum has been at Fazakerley House the staff have spent the time and effort in small
Personal ways that in time have allowed mum to gain trust and friendship from both other residents and the staff.
It is hard and was a lot more for the first 3-4 months and very upsetting for mum and myself.
After this period the effort and dedication in conjunction with honest and respectful care the facility has now become - what mum calls home. This means more to me than just a care rating or monotonous care schedules.
I thank them and wish them continued recognition for the level of commitment and friendliness coupled with the professional care they provide.

What a wonderful care home! All of the staff go above and beyond for the residents. There is a lovely warm feeling/atmosphere when you step inside. The residents look happy and well cared for. During my visits I have met most of the staff. The care staff, the kitchen and domestic staff, and they are
all wonderful at their jobs. The food served is gorgeous and the menu is well thought out. The Registered Manager, Jane, is the most kind, compassionate and selfless person I have ever met and runs her home with confidence and efficiency. She is well respected by the staff, the residents and visitors.
Thank you Fazakerley House for all that you do xx

My wife and I visited our friend at Fazakerley House. Our friend was sat smiling with a staff member who was showing her family pictures. Management should be so proud of their staff and how they interact with residents. This home is well managed, and I would highly recommend Fazakerley House Care Home,
where residents are well cared for; the staff and management are amazing.

I visited my friend who is living with dementia. On my arrival, the home was calm, and staff friendly and welcoming. I was directed to my friend who was sat with a staff member who was going through family photos. The look on her face was a picture. Staff go above and beond in this care home.

Since my mum has been in Fazakerley House, the staff have gone above and beyond and continue to do so with all aspects of her care.
It has been a difficult time for her as she lost her husband back in September, the manager and all the staff have been amazing with their time towards her.

My nan has been at Fazakerley House for over a year now. I looked at several homes and none compared to the feeling I got when I first visited this home, it really has a personal touch. A daunting time for me quickly turned into one of the best decisions I made for my nan. The staff are down to earth
and go above and beyond for all the residents, nothing is ever too much to ask. The level of care the staff give to my nan is second to none, I will never be able to thank them enough for the sense of security I have knowing my nan is safe and well looked after. The home is well-managed and always has something going on to entertain the residents. The staff have always made me feel welcome since the day my nan moved in, they are always happy to provide me with updates over the phone on days I am unable to visit. I couldn't recommend Fazakerley House more.

Couldn't recommend Fazakerly House enough. It's never an easy decision moving a family member into care, but the staff here are just amazing; they treat all the residents like members of their own family. Nothing is ever too much. Always so welcoming when you visit, and my grandads never had a bad

Fazakerley House has been a change of living for my mum aged 88/89. She suffers for Alzheimer/Dementia. She has settled in so well and me/wife can see 100% improvement in herself. She seems so content in herself were she is. All the staff keep it bright upbeat. Mum likes the food in general we/all are
very pleased with Fazakerley House. Such a calm atmosphere for all residents.

My dad passed away recently in the local hospital, age 92. Up until then he had resided at Fazakerly House. I cannot praise them all highly enough. The girls who cared for him were absolutely wonderful, they could not do enough for him. He was much loved by the staff there. He had a lovely ensuite
room, he called it his holiday apartment. He was always warm and comfortable. If he needed access to a GP or nurse they were always quick to visit him. My brother, sister and myself are so grateful to the wonderful team and just wanted to thank them so much for the excellent care they showed my dad.

Also a special mention to the cleaners, who kept Fazakerley house so clean. Never were there any unpleasant smells that sometime occur in homes. Finally to the team who were simply marvellous and I cannot thank them enough

My mother has been a resident at Fazakerley House Care Home, Prescot for approximately six months. She is 94 years old and lost her husband of 71 years in February 2024. As a family we were reluctant to made the move to a residential home, however it has proved to be such a positive experience for us
all. Mum's mental state has improved considerably due to the love and care from all the staff.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.931)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.931) out of 10 for Fazakerley House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 29 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.931 for Fazakerley House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (325 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 347 Ratings = 4.931
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fazakerley House Care Home is based on 29 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 registered maximum number of service users is 9, which has been reached with 29 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
