Offering bespoke residential and residential dementia care, Fazakerley House care home is situated in the peaceful residential area of Prescot, in Merseyside.

There is much to love about this welcoming setting; residents enjoy spending time at the hair salon, in the sunny conservatory or going on trips out exploring the local area in the minibus. If they prefer the comforts of home, or are unable to venture outside, residents can also enjoy relaxation time in the range of en-suite and premier bedrooms.

Residents also benefit from quality meals prepared by the in house catering team. Recognising the nutritional requirements of older people, the team offer a wide variety of meals to be enjoyed in the spacious and welcoming dining areas. During the warmer months, the peaceful garden is also a firm favourite with residents and their loved ones to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining.

The care provided at the home is second to none. The care team apply their experience to get to know residents' care needs, carrying out regular reviews so they are able to respond to any changes. This is a wonderful care home for your loved ones. My dad moved in a couple of months ago from hospital and the turnaround I have seen in him is fabulous. All the staff are wonderful and take great care of him. He tells me the food is great and he eats everything they give him. The home is spotlessly
clean and very well maintained and always smells fresh and clean. The lounges are bright and cheerful and frequently decorated for different events. The bedrooms are well looked after and bright and airy and my dad alway looks clean, smart and shaved when I visit. He has settled here very well and as his family, we are more than satisfied with everything about this home.

My aunt stayed in the nursing home for seven weeks due to a broken leg and torn ligaments on the other leg. She wasn't able to put her feet down so was confined to her room. The care she received was good, the staff were all very friendly and helped make her time with them as pleasant as possible. Whenever
I visited I found the staff and management very good.

Overall experience, excellent.
Both residents and staff are extremely welcoming and helpful.
The only negative side was limited staff, resulting in some issues of care whilst being of high standard but sometimes staff were not able to respond as quickly as was needed. Issues causing distress, 1)
waiting too long for commode assistance and 2) woken at 7 am for non-urgent medication and then waiting until breakfast at 10:30 am for a drink (i.e. tea or coffee).

Thank you for your review. We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required and take on board any lessons learnt. Please be assured that staffing levels are continuously reviewed to ensure they are appropriate for the dependencies and needs of our residents. Medications are prescribed by the GP to be time specific, which unfortunately can sometimes lead to unsocial times early in the morning. We pride ourselves in offering personalised care, so if someone remains in bed in the morning, we will not wake them up; however, our call bell system does allow residents to make requests at any time. It was a pleasure to care for you, and we would like to add how much we appreciated your recognition of the staff, which you provided on discharge.

The care home has a lovely, friendly feeling. All the staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. My mum came on respite with a view to long-term but her mobility and social awareness have improved immensely, all thanks to the staff.

Went to see a friend, shown to the big room, there was a singer on. Everyone was enjoying themself, including the staff (dancing) they were having a great time., everyone was happy. Good staff. Marks 100/100. Keep up the good work.

All staff and management have all gone out of their way to welcome and make my mother's stay a comfortable one.
She’s been in 4 times on respite this year and my mother has enjoyed her stay every time.

After 10 weeks in hospital, my father-in-law came to Fazakerley House Care Home for respite. My first impression was a warm welcome from all team members in every area. Very homely feel, and as my father-in-law put it, not having to wait when he needed any assistance. Staff fully obliging, caring, happy
and clearly love what they do. We as a family feel so reassured as we know it can be quite daunting and scary for our loved ones. This place is incredible along with all the amazing staff.

The room was bright and cheerful, there was a TV in the room which helped with my wife's recovery.
The lounges and dining areas in the home were bright and spacious and there was plenty of room for residents and visitors.
The food was excellent.
Some of the residents had serious mental and physical
problems. The staff were most kind and skilful when dealing with them.

I've been very impressed with Fazakerley House. It's incredibly well run, and the staff are very caring and professional. I feel very confident leaving my mum in their care and always enjoy going in to visit her. Fazakerley House is also in a great location - quiet, but also very clean to the town centre.

Fazakerley House is amazing - nothing is too much trouble for them. The manager is fantastic, as are the staff. My mum had a fall and was taken to hospital, and the next day, the manager and a senior visited her on the ward, and one of the staff of the ward said that this never happens - absolutely
outstanding. Thanks ever so much. Would highly recommend this fab care home.

My mum has been a resident at Fazakerley House for six years. In my experience, my mum has been well looked after and treated with care and dignity. If I had any issues, they were dealt with immediately by a very efficient manager and her team. Fazakerley House is a really good care home who encourage
family visits. I find I can sleep at night, knowing my mum is in safe hands.

My aunt was confused and disheveled when she came into Fazakerley House Care Home. She now looks better, is calmer, and is well cared for. I am impressed with every aspect of this home. My aunt's room and the whole place is spotlessly clean. My aunt loves the food, she said the cottage pie was the best
she has ever tasted! Every time I visit there is a lovely, happy, homely vibe. Staff are professional, friendly and knowledgeable about my aunt. Security is strictly adhered to and the manager is visible and accessible. She made time to have a chat with me at short notice, which I appreciated. I can't fault a single thing about Fazakerley House. Thank you.

Walking into the reception you automatically feel at home, the atmosphere is so welcoming. Staff are amazing, work hard to make sure my nan has everything she needs from day one. Feels like we are in a cafe having a coffee, so at home. Staff are absolutely fab!

My mother-in-law came in for two weeks respite. The home has a friendly vibe and the staff are very attentive. The other residents all were kept clean as was my mother-in-law. She said she was well looked after, which says it all.

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Jane has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Jane closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jane remarked:


“Achieving goals and getting good outcomes”


Outside of work, Jane is very family orientated and loves spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoys going on regular holidays.
