Offering bespoke residential and residential dementia care, Fazakerley House care home is situated in the peaceful residential area of Prescot, in Merseyside.

There is much to love about this welcoming setting; residents enjoy spending time at the hair salon, in the sunny conservatory or going on trips out exploring the local area in the minibus. If they prefer the comforts of home, or are unable to venture outside, residents can also enjoy relaxation time in the range of en-suite and premier bedrooms.

My mother-in-law came in for two weeks respite. The home has a friendly vibe and the staff are very attentive. The other residents all were kept clean as was my mother-in-law. She said she was well looked after, which says it all.

My mum came to Fazakerley House Care Home for respite following a broken arm. During this time she was treated with dignity and respect. My mum enjoyed the company of the staff who went above and beyond. I can highly recommend Fazakerley House. My mum hopes to return for respite later in the year.

I honestly think this home is run by Heaven because all the people there, each and every one of them are Angels. The love and care they show to our mum each and every day is just unbelievable. My mum absolute loves being there and her day is so much more fulfilled than when she was at home even with
four sons visiting every day and all the family and friends. Its not like we can put on an Elvis impressionist afternoon, but they did at Fazakerley house at that was the highlight of my Christmas - seeing everyone's smiling faces. Honestly I just think it has changed mums whole world and all ours too and we know she is getting the care she so deserves.

The staff at Fazakerley House have been brilliant. My dad came for respite in May 2022 and he ended up staying due to health reasons. They have made him feel at home and he now feels safe as he couldn't return home.

From the first day, myself and family have been delighted with the care my mother has received. All the staff are so welcoming and professional. The home itself is spotless and since my mum has been there we have seen a massive improvement in her well-being.

The staff are very welcoming and even during the COVID outbreak, we have still felt able to visit and take Mum out. The staff have been keen to say that although COVID is around and they look after those who are poorly extremely well, we are not in the way of we choose to visit. I am immensely grateful
for this attitude to COVID.

I am extremely happy with all the support and care given to us and our mum from the very first visit, which was when we looked around. We were welcomed and made to feel like part of the family. Mum is extremely well cared for, well fed and loved. We couldn't have asked for a more lovelier place for
her. Thank you, Fazakerley House.

Mum has been cared for by Fazakerley House Care Home for the last three years. The care and attention Mum has received is commendable at all times. Mum is considered a part of the care home family and is receiving exceptional support from a professionally and personally focussed staff. We cannot identify
any improvements that could be introduced to make Mum more comfortable and cared for.
The management and staff should be commended and be proud of the care and support that is being given to Mum. Thank you.

My auntie has been a resident at Fazakerley House for 3 years, she loves her room and the facilities she has. There is lots of company if she wants it and can relax in her room if she wants to. There are fantastic activity programmes for the resident which she regularly participates in. care staff,
management and admin are extremely kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble and the kitchen staff are extremely helpful regarding dietary needs.

Mum has been here for just over 3 years now and seems really content, which is so reassuring as she has dementia and can get quite anxious at times. Obviously, the pandemic has had an effect but Fazakerley House Care Home are doing their best to allow some normality back in our lives. I feel happy leaving
Mym here after a visit, knowing Mum is being well looked after.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.937)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.937) out of 10 for Fazakerley House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 25 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.937 for Fazakerley House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (281 Excellents x 5) + (19 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 300 Ratings = 4.937
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Fazakerley House Care Home is based on 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 45 registered maximum number of service users is 9, which has been reached with 25 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
