Since HC-One has taken over the standards have gone up. Staff are caring and friendly and nothing seems too much trouble.

Dad was initially in another home within Huyton as an emergency. This placement fell short in many ways within 2 days he had been accepted into Roby Lodge and we have been delighted with the care from wonderful staff. I am a nurse practitioner and duty manager at a local hospital and have over 37 years
experience working within hospitals and with many dementia patients so have great knowledge of their needs and Roby Lodge staff fulfil all his needs and go the extra mile. I would like to thank them all.

My husband had dementia and was very well looked after and cared for by all the staff at Roby Lodge. His family were very satisfied with the care he was given and we were all very grateful and appreciated all that they did to look after him.

My mum is well cared for and has come on leaps and bounds since she came to Roby Lodge. I have peace of mind knowing that my mum is safe and the staff do genuinely care for my mum. I spend a lot of time here and have got to know the staff quite well.
The only criticism I have is the lack of activities.
Nothing to keep the residents entertained, meaning most are sat around asleep or walking around the corridors. This is not the staff fault as they are busy looking after the residents. This is something the company need to address.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We really value the feedback provided by those who use our services. Our new full-time Activity Coordinator commenced post approximately 3 weeks ago; she has been well received by our Residents who are enjoying a range of activities including outdoor visits, weather permitting.
Our lady Residents have enjoyed some pampering activities and all Residents who have wished to participate have benefitted and enjoyed board games, painting, bingo, golf, skittles and reading. Some of our Residents who do not enjoy group activities have had one to one time with our new Activity Coordinator who splits her time between both floors.

When my mother entered Ruby Lodge she was made very welcome. From her first day the staff could not have provided better care, and form their reports to me, my mum remained one of their most challenging yet loved residents. Towards the end 30/3/2016 her grip on reality was almost gone, however, she
made it clear that Ruby Lodge was the place that provided her with all the love and care she could possibly need.

My Aunt has been a resident at Roby Lodge for more than 2 years and I cannot say enough about the standard of her care and the support she receives.
The staff are always helpful, kind and supportive to all residents and their families. Nothing is too much trouble. Although they are always busy they
take the time for conversations with the residents and to look after them at feeding times.
The residents are always clean and well cared for, the buildings are modern, clean warm and safe. I do not have any safeguarding concerns for my relative, who is visited at least weekly.
