Roby Lodge Care Home

Dad has recently come to stay at Roby Lodge. He has always been a fiercely independent man so this is a huge culture shock for him and he has been quite confused due to his illness (mixed dementia). Every single member of staff has been warm and friendly towards him and doing everything they can to ensure he is relaxed and settled in his new environment. He is still occasionally confused but seems happy where he is.. As a family we are very happy with the treatment he has received already.

My experience of Roby Lodge is the staff put the residents at the heart of what they do. My mum is very content here. I am more than pleased with the care she receives. She is treated with respect and all the staff know my mum's quirks. There is a real sense of family and community. The staff show dedication with all the residents. My mum recently had an operation and the resolve shown by the staff to improve my mum's mobilty is second to none. I would not hesitate in recommending Roby Lodge.

Mum has been a resident of Roby Lodge for 3 years. She is really happy there and has settled into a great routine. She is treated with respect by the care staff and management. We are confident that all of her care needs are being met. The home is lovely and kept spotlessly clean by the cleaning staff. Mum enjoys all of the meals prepared and the menu is varied. All of the staff take the time to get to know residents and their likes and dislikes, which helps keep everyone happy. It is a really lovely home.

I can only comment on the care home as mum has only been here a short time for the last 6 weeks. Mum is cared for in a dignified and caring way, she has good days & bad days as she wants to go home. Communication is good & mum enjoys some of the meals.

Everyone in Roby Lodge is lovely, helpful & caring. SO helpful, dad is really happy and enjoying life again. Lots for him to do, he regularly tells us how much he loves it here. A massive thank you from all of Bob's family.

We are really pleased with the care being give to my mum She seems to be happy and settled. Excellent choice of mealtime, and daytime activities are varied. staff are very friendly and facilities are good.

The staff are very lovely and try their best to look after mum. They address her medical, nutritional, emotional and personal care needs. They have also given myself advice on how to support mum in the context of the home.

My Mum has been here for over twelve months and I couldn't be happier with the care she receives. The staff are wonderful, kind, patient and attentive, always going the extra mile. She particularly enjoys the company of the other residents and has some lovely relationships. The home itself is clean, welcoming and always well looked after. Knowing Mum is well looked after means the world to us.

Excellent care home. Staff go above & beyond & are v. friendly, always spotlessly clean (never 'a care home' smell), my sis has settled in well & the family know she is safe & well cared for. Plenty of activities & residents have regular parties etc. Would highly recommend Roby Lodge.

We were nervous and apprehensive about putting mum into a care home. The staff at Roby lodge have been so kind to us with the whole process of settling mum in and making her new home / room a very peaceful process. I have had several phone calls checking/updating us about mums care plan + to ask us if we have concerns. Each time we visit, her room is always clean and tidy. I am very pleased that we chose this care home.

My Nan has been at Roby Lodge since January, the staff have been excellent taking care of her, they really are lovely with her. Always trying to involve her in activities even when she is being antisocial, and comforting her on her bad days. She is happy and has bonded with the staff and really seems to trust them.

Roby Lodge is an excellent care home. Staff very good with residents. Also very friendly and helpful.

Mum reports to have settled in to the home. She enjoys interacting with the staff. There always seems to be lots of activities taking place (as seen on social media posts). I haven't been present for meal times so can't comment on quality. However, the menu always sounds very appetising with lots of options available. Thank you to the staff for taking good care of her.

I find all staff very pleasant and helpful. Even though my mum doesn't always get involved with activities, it's not for the want of trying. Always a nice atmosphere.

Very reassuring to see my mother settled and happy at Roby Lodge. This speaks volumes for the care and love she has received from members of staff who are respectful, caring and conscientious towards residents and families alike. The staff appear happy in their roles and do an excellent job. A special shout-out to the cleaning team - the home is impeccably clean - an absolute credit to the team.

From the initial first visit to see if the care home was suitable for my nan, the staff have been very helpful and supportive. The home is clean and has a friendly atmosphere, the staff treat the residents with dignity and provide an excellent range of activities and trips out. The safety and security is paramount and staff are providing the right care needs for my nan.

My dad was admitted to Roby Lodge for respite care. He was treated with kindness, care and dignity. Unfortunately this was the wrong environment for someone with mild dementia, but I cannot fault the care given, especially to the residents with advanced dementia. Also unfortunately, a lot of his clothes went missing, and his brand new T.V got broken. I do not think my dad was happy in this environment and started showing signs of low mood until we moved him.

My mum has been staying at Roby Lodge for about a month now. We have found all of the staff very friendly and welcoming, and it's lovely to see Mum interacting with all the staff. The accommodation is very clean and well equipped, and Mum is enjoying the food very much. Thank you for your kindness.

Since my family member moved into Roby lodge I have visited a few times and the staff have always been very welcoming they offer refreshments when the residents are having drinks and snacks which was nice to be offered the home is very clean and the bedroom is spacious, when visiting a few weeks ago work was being completed to the lounge the residents were sitting in the communal area on the corridor the staff managed this well and kept everyone entertained
