They keep you up to date with everything that is going on and even send photographs when mum is having a good day! The manager has been excellent in completing the necessary admin and forms to help get mum's funding. I couldn't speak highly enough of Locharwoods Birkdale.

year for my Dad's 90th birthday we were all made to feel very welcome. There is a lovely garden which is very well maintained all year round and a lovely conservatory which allows views of the garden even when the weather is not so good. There are activities every weekday and annual events such as Christmas and Easter are celebrated thoughtfully. My mum continues to live here after my dad died peacefully here in December and the staff have been very tender with her to help her through a very difficult time. I cannot thank them all enough for looking after my mum and dad so well.

The environment is lovely, modern and homely at the same time. It is kept to the highest standards of maintenance and consideration is given to individuals needs. My mum smokes and a gazebo has been erected so she can sit outside in comfort. The food is homemade and modified for individuals should the need arise by offering choice.
