My mother was a resident at Thornton Hall for over seven years, from May 2012 until her death at the age of 97 in September 2019. During these years, she received the highest possible quality of care. She was always a strong independent woman, but towards the end of her life, veritably her needs increased. At Thornton Hall, she was always treated as a valued individual with respect and dignity, as well as the utmost fondness. Her end of life care was eximious, and the kindness of the wonderful staff at Thornton Hall extended to me, her daughter, and the members of our close family. We will always be indebted to absolutely every one of the staff at Thornton Hall for everything that they did for my mother for seven wonderful years. They knew and understood her so well.

Our whole family are so grateful for the care - if not to say love - that our mother has received during her stay at Thornton Hall. She went into care a confused, lonely, underweight little lady. In a matter of weeks, she was confident, glowing with health, distinctly plumper and revelling in the social contact she now has on a day to day basis. While her condition has, inevitably, deteriorated over her time there, she continues to get the most out of life through the attention and stimulation she enjoys at Thornton Hall. Lovely people who know what they are doing!
