Woodlands Manor EMI Care Home

The care my relative is receiving is excellent. the staff are very good, caring and nothing is too much trouble for them. I am so glad she is in their care. Thank you.

Our family are indebted to the staff of Woodlands Manor for the dedicated care and support that they have provided to our dear Mum. We have been very comforted by the loving environment that Mum has enjoyed at Woodlands Manor. This has made it a real 'home' in every way, particularly in relation to the great humour and joy that typifies Woodlands Manor.

Mum has been the most settled and happy that I have seen for some time. The staff are patient and caring, and she always seems well cared for. I've been very impressed with the way this pandemic has been handled at this time, and the efforts they have gone to keep families in touch via letters, video chats and timed controlled visits (now the restrictions are starting to be lifted).

Excellent care of my father, especially during the COVID pandemic. Thanks so much. Very kind staff.

When dad first came to Woodlands Manor he did so because we as a family liked the homely feeling and friendliness of the staff. Since that time dads, dementia has changed sometimes altering his personality and occasionally causing distress, during these difficult times dad has always been treated with dignity and respect. I have always been included in decisions and advised of any concerns. I feel confident that any difficult times ahead will be approached in the same way with professionalism and care.

I think Woodlands Manor is very safe for all the residents that are here and staff are very friendly.

I am disappointed with the medical care - knowledge of staff re medical complaints/issues (diets/longstanding issues).

Woodlands Manor, to me, is a place of fun and laughter from a dedicated staff team. I can honestly say they care and make this place home. I, myself, love coming here for the warm welcome I get, and to see my partner so happy. Entertainment is excellent which is a big part of keeping residents happy. Well done to everybody.

My wife needed to be looked after when I became ill. She was placed in Woodlands by Social Services. We had no experience of care homes and, therefore, nothing to compare Woodlands with. Generally, she has been happy with the experience and thinks that the staff are very obliging.

My father has received exceptional care since moved into Woodlands. All staff are friendly, empathetic and transparent. Nothing is too much trouble and I'm able to visit at any time, which cements further trust and reassurance. His care is consistently of a high standard. Wonderful place, wonderful staff with kind hearts and huge compassion. Thank you.

I chose this care home for my mother because I had a friend well cared for there and she was well looked after until she died. My mother was a resident at Woodlands Manor, Southport for 3 years. It was incredibly difficult to have to place my mother in a Dementia Care Home. Mum was always treated with care and compassion, was spotlessly clean and I was kept informed of medical and care issues. My mum enjoyed a pleasant Christmas with lots of entertainment but deteriorated in January and has died. Mum's care at this sad time was exemplary and could not be faulted, the family are all very grateful.

A change of shop floor management has made a fantastic difference to the day to day running of the care home. The staff are much happier and less stressed out, providing calm to patients and visiting families. It's a pleasure to visit now, the staff operate like a happy team since the change. Activities are poor, residents are sat in chairs most of the day. A change in this would give a remarkable plus to the standard of the home.
