Barchester Caldy Manor

Making the decision for a loved one to go into care is not an easy one. However, since our very first contact with the staff at Caldy Manor, we had known the decision was the right one. Everyone on the team, from catering and estates to carers and management, has welcomed my mum and our family with a genuine warmth and kindness that has been really touching. The care my mum has received has been second to none. Nothing is ever too much trouble and there is a family feel to the place that makes it very special.

He was extremely well looked after in very comfortable surroundings by extremely professional, patient and cheerful staff.

More recently we wanted to have a surprise birthday party for a reluctant relative again super cooperation and nothing was too much trouble. It was a great success even enjoyed by the person who didn't want any fuss.

My husband stayed for one week and was very impressed. He thought everything was so good, accommodation, food, staff, care. He says that what he expected, he received during his stay. He has experience of another care home and this far exceeds that experience. He feels that no one could go wrong in booking in here.

Would we recommend Caldy Manor? Indeed we would.

After a very disappointing experience with a care home, my daughter and I decided we needed to move my mother. We chose Caldy Manor and what an excellent choice that was.

All the staff at the home currently are extremely kind and helpful, the chef is excellent and the home is always warm friendly and welcoming.

We found no other home that gave the level of care and understood out father's requirements. The low level of staff turnover has been reflected in how staff treat our father and some have gone over and above in what could be injected to keep him happy and feel at home.

My husband's cousin is living at Caldy Manor for a few months with a view to making it her permanent home. She has been very well cared for and likes the staff very much. They are very caring and professional in everything they do.

A very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Caldy have been excellent for my parents. The staff are both professional and very friendly, as a result my parents have always felt like this was their home. As they have aged, the management has always been on top of their situation and we have felt the medical situation has very comprehensive. As a result we have never worried about their safety, health or wellbeing. The staff are very friendly and my parents are very settled, happy and content.

Genuine care and concern for the residents. Best interests come first, listens to the relatives. The care home feels like a home from home and not an institution. I feel confident my relatives are receiving the best care and gives me peace of mind knowing excellent care is being provided.

Caldy Manor Care Home is an excellent care home. The staff are exceptional. My mum and dad lived at Caldy for the last 2 years. My dad passed away last week and the staff could not have been more helpful and loving to my mum and the rest of the family. The Caldy Manor staff have become family to my mum. I live in New Zealand and I know my mum is in the very best possible place. I would recommend Caldy Manor 110%!

I was impressed with the genuineness of the care and how deeply it was embedded in the culture. My impression was that this caring attitude was so strong it would survive a change at the senior leadership level. An example was the tenderness with which a carer held and stroked the hand of a very immobile lady. Wow! It was not the only example of this kind. The compassion came shining through.

Caldy Manor, at present, is not as good as it was in 2012.
