My dad has been living at Alexandra Court for nearly 8 years and in that time he has been looked after really well by all the staff. We have never had to worry about his care when we were not there as we trusted the staff completely to treat dad with the utmost care and compassion and knowing they would alert us to any problems concerning our dad. Unfortunately, my dad has just passed away on the 27th April 2018 but this sad and traumatic time was made so much easier by all the kindness and support shown to not only my dad but also to my sister and me in the days before my dad's death when he was very ill.

My father in law has spent quite a few weeks in homes over the last few years, and has always wanted to get back home as soon as possible, but this has not been the case at Alexandra Court. His praise for the staff, food and attention he has received has been incredible. The home is always immaculately clean, staff are friendly and helpful but always professional, I can't have been happier with our choice of home short-term. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and there are plenty of communal areas for residents to mix and chat. He is a very difficult man to please, so they are obviously getting things spot on! 11/10!

My elderly friend was put into a care home for one month and she went downhill fast. Then I came across Alexandra Court and had her moved, her happy face came back after a few days. The staff were so nice, it was nice to visit her knowing I wasn't going to be met with lots of woes. I would give the home 10/10 for making her a very happy lady again. Wish every care home was the same as this one.

My dad has been at Alexandra Court on respite. The service at the home is fantastic, my dad was in hospital and he was very miserable there. Since coming to Alexandra Court he is back to his old self. He's like a new man. I can't express how happy I am with the staff! They have apartments with their own bedroom and living room, en-suite and even a kitchen etc.

I was very pleased with the overall care my grandad received. The high standard of management stood out as well as the cleanliness and care also.

I felt welcome every time I came.

On behalf of all our family, I would like to express our sincere thanks to all members of staff, for the care of our Dad.
The staff Alexandra Court showed complete respect and dignity at all times, during his stay at the home.

Most important, they always made him smile and laugh, and nothing was too much trouble.

Our Dad sadly passed away on 7.1.18 at the home. It was a very peaceful passing, and we thank the staff, for all their support at this difficult time.

She is made up as her friend visits daily and the home welcome him with open arms.

Dad has been a resident at Alexandra for over seven years and has always been looked after with care and dignity. He recently celebrated his 90th birthday and we arranged, with the help of the staff, a small party. They provided a lovely buffet, decorations in the conservatory and made a birthday cake. Nothing was too much trouble on the day and made it a very enjoyable event. My sister, brother and I would like to say a big 'thank you ' to all the staff at Alexandra.

This care home has to be one of the very best in the country. We (as a family) feel so fortunate that we found this place for our dad, who was newly bereaved when he first came here (December 2013).
The accommodation is first class, the staff here are exceptional. They are so kind and caring.
This home should win multiple awards!
The food is really good and we are very confident that dad is getting the best possible care here.

Also, the activities are varied and interesting for the residents, the organiser of these is fabulous.

My mum in law has just had a respite stay with you. I cannot fault the care and compassion shown to her whilst she was with you. She was very well cared for and was able to spend as little or as much time in her own apartment. Residents can choose to dine with other residents in the dining room or dine in their own apartment, where their meals are brought to them. There is an array of activities which residents can choose to partake in or not as well as weekly visits from a hairdresser. Would highly recommend if you have relatives living in the area requiring care - nothing is too much trouble.

The staff at this care home really care. They are in and out of the resident's rooms and a chatty and friendly. They take the time to stop and chat and it is plainly obvious they are in the right job. I don't worry about mum being there as I know if there is anything wrong with her it will be addressed straight away. Only negative things the sink in her bathroom is too high for her as she is very bent over. Hardly ever see the manager either me or mum.

Mum has been with Alexandra Court for 5 years now. It is wonderful, she has her own apartment with the addition of a wonderful care team. Mum doesn't often involve herself in the activities but I see they are excellent. Food is outstanding. I stayed for lunch last week, I was well looked after and enjoyed my salmon steak greatly. More like a hotel than a care home but with the greatest care given to my mum.

My mother has been a resident at this care home for the last three years. During that time her physical and mental health has deteriorated. The staff provide wonderful care, they are always extremely caring, react well with all residents and have provided consistent and good humoured care at all times. When one hears such awful horror stories about care homes, it is necessary to publicise the food stories and this home provides the positive side of the picture. The home is smart, clean and happy and the residents express their satisfaction as well as acknowledge how lucky they are.
