Alexandra Court provides unique accommodation for residents in 31 individual luxury en-suite rooms, with a bedroom, lounge and kitchenette. Provision can be made to accommodate couples. Each room is fully carpeted and decorated to a high standard complete with WiFi and contain a nurse call system, fire detection and central heating with thermostatic controls.

A large conservatory at the front of the property leads to a spacious lounge with a feature fireplace and a baby grand piano. The dining room is bright and airy and the home is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and secluded patio areas with outside seating. There is also a car park to the front of the building, which can accommodate 10 cars within the grounds of the home.

Residents are encouraged to continue with any hobbies they may enjoy and assistance will be given as required.

My elderly friend was put into a care home for one month and she went downhill fast. Then I came across Alexandra Court and had her moved, her happy face came back after a few days. The staff were so nice, it was nice to visit her knowing I wasn't going to be met with lots of woes. I would give the
home 10/10 for making her a very happy lady again. Wish every care home was the same as this one.

My dad has been at Alexandra Court on respite. The service at the home is fantastic, my dad was in hospital and he was very miserable there. Since coming to Alexandra Court he is back to his old self. He's like a new man. I can't express how happy I am with the staff! They have apartments with their
own bedroom and living room, en-suite and even a kitchen etc.

On behalf of all our family, I would like to express our sincere thanks to all members of staff, for the care of our Dad.
The staff Alexandra Court showed complete respect and dignity at all times, during his stay at the home.
Most important, they always made him smile and laugh, and nothing was too
much trouble.


Our Dad sadly passed away on 7.1.18 at the home. It was a very peaceful passing, and we thank the staff, for all their support at this difficult time.

My auntie is very happy at Alexandra Court. Her apartment was decorated in cream, but auntie wanted it white so they got the decorator in to paint it white she is thrilled.
She is made up as her friend visits daily and the home welcome him with open arms.

My husband died with dementia and cancer I nursed him for 11 years and three months ago I had to leave my home because it was flooded and unfit to live in. It may be 6 months before I can return home.

Dad has been a resident at Alexandra for over seven years and has always been looked after with care and dignity. He recently celebrated his 90th birthday and we arranged, with the help of the staff, a small party. They provided a lovely buffet, decorations in the conservatory and made a birthday cake.
Nothing was too much trouble on the day and made it a very enjoyable event. My sister, brother and I would like to say a big 'thank you ' to all the staff at Alexandra.

This care home has to be one of the very best in the country. We (as a family) feel so fortunate that we found this place for our dad, who was newly bereaved when he first came here (December 2013).
The accommodation is first class, the staff here are exceptional. They are so kind and caring.
This
home should win multiple awards!
The food is really good and we are very confident that dad is getting the best possible care here.
Also, the activities are varied and interesting for the residents, the organiser of these is fabulous.

My mum in law has just had a respite stay with you. I cannot fault the care and compassion shown to her whilst she was with you. She was very well cared for and was able to spend as little or as much time in her own apartment. Residents can choose to dine with other residents in the dining room or
dine in their own apartment, where their meals are brought to them. There is an array of activities which residents can choose to partake in or not as well as weekly visits from a hairdresser. Would highly recommend if you have relatives living in the area requiring care - nothing is too much trouble.

The staff at this care home really care. They are in and out of the resident's rooms and a chatty and friendly. They take the time to stop and chat and it is plainly obvious they are in the right job. I don't worry about mum being there as I know if there is anything wrong with her it will be addressed
straight away. Only negative things the sink in her bathroom is too high for her as she is very bent over. Hardly ever see the manager either me or mum.

Mum has been with Alexandra Court for 5 years now. It is wonderful, she has her own apartment with the addition of a wonderful care team. Mum doesn't often involve herself in the activities but I see they are excellent. Food is outstanding. I stayed for lunch last week, I was well looked after and enjoyed
my salmon steak greatly. More like a hotel than a care home but with the greatest care given to my mum.

My mother has been a resident at this care home for the last three years. During that time her physical and mental health has deteriorated. The staff provide wonderful care, they are always extremely caring, react well with all residents and have provided consistent and good humoured care at all times.
When one hears such awful horror stories about care homes, it is necessary to publicise the food stories and this home provides the positive side of the picture. The home is smart, clean and happy and the residents express their satisfaction as well as acknowledge how lucky they are.

Mum stayed on respite. Standards are so high. Staff treated her with the greatest dignity. Her independence was encouraged whilst she was in the home. She didn't want to go home. She said the staff were very kind and made fer feel so at ease.

Warm welcoming feel to the home. Saw several staff interacting with residents on a 1:1 basis. Apartment clean, fresh and modern furniture but no drawers - shelves en-suite to put toiletries and sanitary items - this was mentioned and will be addressed soon (recent switch to shower room from bathroom).

layout is good and adequate. I was told food is good. Shocked to hear that a resident was moved to another apartment whilst work on new en-suite was carried out but the apartment wasn't cleared of previous resident's clothes/shoes etc.
