Alexandra Court provides unique accommodation for residents in 31 individual luxury en-suite rooms, with a bedroom, lounge and kitchenette. Provision can be made to accommodate couples. Each room is fully carpeted and decorated to a high standard complete with WiFi and contain a nurse call system, fire detection and central heating with thermostatic controls.

A large conservatory at the front of the property leads to a spacious lounge with a feature fireplace and a baby grand piano. The dining room is bright and airy and the home is surrounded by well-maintained gardens and secluded patio areas with outside seating. There is also a car park to the front of the building, which can accommodate 10 cars within the grounds of the home.

Residents are encouraged to continue with any hobbies they may enjoy and assistance will be given as required.

My nanna is a resident at Alexandra Court and is very well looked after by all the staff. I am very pleased with all the care my nanna receives.
The staff could not do enough for my nanna giving me peace of mind she is happy, safe and well loved by everyone.
The apartments are out of this world. You
can make them your own as my nanna has done the home as they also said we can paint if we would like to add that extra homely feel. Brand new carpets have just been fitted throughout the apartment and a lovely new wet room.
The food is fantastic and the home allowed me to have lunch with my nanna on several occasions not expecting payment.

From the very first visit to Alexandra Court I was struck by the welcoming and homely feel. The flexibility at the time of moving in (and departure) was a great help and allowed Mum to acclimatise with familiar things around her. The care and patience exhibited by all the team was outstanding. Dementia
can be confusing to all and they dealt with it very well. The daily entertainment and activities programme was excellent, engaging Mum more than I had seen in a long time. I cannot speak highly enough for the whole team and the individuals charged with Mum's personal care - 5 star service.

My mum was at Alexandra Court for approximately 1 year. I wish she had been there sooner as the care and loving kindness she received was excellent. I feel she would have benefited from the support and interaction had she stayed there earlier. The staff are excellent in their patience and kindness,
I always left after my visiting her knowing she was safe and had all she needed. Her face lit up at the sight of any and all of the staff. I couldn't have asked for more. Thank you so very much.

My sister has been a resident for about 18 months. Her care has been wonderful. I never have to worry about her as all her carers are kind, helpful and professional at all times. It gives me great peace of mind to know that she is lucky enough to be in such a well managed and caring home.

It's in a very pleasant part of Blackpool with an attractive garden. Everybody here is pleasant and appears to enjoy the company. We have been pleased to enjoy singers and dancers from local shows.

I have lived here a number of years 6-7, I came here with the church to sing and I love the feel of the home and said I want to live here at Alexandra Court when I am not able to live at home. To this day I know I made the correct choice and never regret it. The food is amazing always a good choice,
I enjoy every week. I have made my apartment home as I have brought my own furniture, this makes it home. The staff are all lovely and enjoy the daily activities when I join in. The care is outstanding, I love it here and it is home.

Our aunt has been at Alexandra Court for a few years now. We realised that she needed some help with day to day living so we were fortunate that we heard about Alexandra Court. She settled in really quickly with the help of the caring staff.
The caring has continued and we can only thank all the
staff for all that they do for her. From our point of view, they are always very welcoming when we go to visit and we see that they obviously really care about the residents. They have a difficult job but they do it with compassion and laughter! An important component for everyone!
The place is always clean and tidy and well managed and our aunt seems very happy there.

'Delighted' may not be a wholly appropriate term given all my beliefs as to how our very wealthy country should fully fund ALL required personal/social care. However, given the current care climate, delight is not too strong a summation of my feelings vis-à-vis my mum's care, treatment and support during
her three years at Alexandra Court. The utterly dedicated staff are unquestionably Alexandra Court's strongest attribute in showing unfailing patience, endless flexibility and a level of care way beyond what anyone could have expected throughout mum's inexorably declining condition. Mum's final phase of life was characterised by the kindness, dignity and even love given to her.

Since my mother moved into Alexandra Court, she has received the best care and attention from all concerned. The staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble for them.
The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and the food is varied and well served.

I have family visiting me on a regular basis i.e., 3 times a week. The chef provides a regular menu but is happy to alter this. The food is excellent.
The carers are very good and check the rooms every 2 hours after midnight.
We all enjoy playing dominoes after we have rested after lunch.

Having made the difficult decision that my mother needed full-time care due to her advancing dementia, I spent a great deal of time looking for the home that would meet all her needs. I decided on Alexandra Court. Yes, the home is tastefully decorated, clean and the food served is excellent, however
the main reasons why are that the home has a lovely, caring and welcoming atmosphere. 6 weeks on the team have proved my initial feelings, they are passionate about the care they provide and it is exemplary, the management are approachable and open and honest. I am happy to leave my mum knowing she is safe and well cared for.

I have been here for 3 1/2 years. The care is excellent. If I need anything I have only got to ask. When my bathroom was changed to a wet room I got to choose my own furniture on the internet.

I went to visit my grandma for the first time in many years with other family members. The home was very welcoming and had a lovely fresh smell to it. My grandma has been living at Alexandra Court for a few years now and she tells me how lovely it is and she is happy not being at home. She mentioned
that it felt like home at times as she has her own apartment. The apartments are very nice and spacious. The staff were all lovely offering cups of tea/coffee, biscuits to us. It just felt so homely and lovely I would gladly say my grandma is being looked after well by all the staff. Keep up the good work.

I have a lovely apartment and the food is superb.

My dad has been living at Alexandra Court for nearly 8 years and in that time he has been looked after really well by all the staff. We have never had to worry about his care when we were not there as we trusted the staff completely to treat dad with the utmost care and compassion and knowing they would
alert us to any problems concerning our dad. Unfortunately, my dad has just passed away on the 27th April 2018 but this sad and traumatic time was made so much easier by all the kindness and support shown to not only my dad but also to my sister and me in the days before my dad's death when he was very ill.

My father in law has spent quite a few weeks in homes over the last few years, and has always wanted to get back home as soon as possible, but this has not been the case at Alexandra Court. His praise for the staff, food and attention he has received has been incredible. The home is always immaculately
clean, staff are friendly and helpful but always professional, I can't have been happier with our choice of home short-term. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and there are plenty of communal areas for residents to mix and chat. He is a very difficult man to please, so they are obviously getting things spot on! 11/10!

Hello, my name is Anabela Silva-Phillips, I'm the Home Manager at Alexandra Court.


I'm passionate about ensuring that people receiving Health and Social Care have an excellent experience, and it is a previlege to be the Home Manager at Alexandra Court.


I commenced my working life with the Red Cross, attending to pilgrims and eldery church members. I progressed through my career with training and gained experiences, giving me the skills to successfully manage care services.
