My mum has been in Arrowsmith since November 2023 as her Alzheimer's meant she needed 24/7 care. During a very upsetting time, the staff showed empathy towards us and she settled well and has always been very happy. Sheila, as well as other carers, are wonderful and my mum has never been better looked after (they cater for her Coeliac Disease very well). Whilst her behaviour is now becoming more challenging, they still seem to love her character. I cannot fault them. It is so hard losing her to dementia, but the weight is lighter due to their care. Thank you, Arrowsmith.

I am really pleased with the level of care given to dad. He's been there since November last year due to him falling at home and breaking his hip.
He's been there was joined by mum just after Christmas due to her falling at home and suffering a similar broken bone.
We the family visits every day and are provided with an update since our last visit.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who I've found excellent in every way.
Providing a happy, safe and secure environment which they both have benefited from.
I would wholeheartedly recommend the home to anyone thinking of going there.

We have complete peace of mind with the level of care and constant monitoring.

Our family has been very pleased with the care my parent receives at Arrowsmith Lodge. Having visited the lodge at different times of the day and on different days of the week, I have never been concerned with the quality of care afforded to my parent.
My parent has challenging issues, but the staff manage these complexities with consistent compassion and respect. They are highly attentive to my parent's individual needs, which gives our family great peace of mind.
The standards of cleanliness throughout the home are good. My parent is always well-presented, and their room is kept clean and tidy at all times. Although the rooms tend to be of a standard size, they can be individualised to each resident's preferences.

The communal areas are large, flooded with natural light, and available for all residents to enjoy. Additionally, the home features lovely garden spaces that provide a pleasant, relaxing environment for all.

My mum has been living at this care home for 3 years now & is really settled in. The staff are amazing, every member of the team is friendly, caring & genuinely committed to the residents. Nothing is ever too much trouble & there's always plenty of interaction & support. There's a lovely conservatory & nice gardens where Mum enjoys spending time in the summer. Visits are easy to arrange - you can book without any trouble, even at short notice & as a family we always feel welcome. The services they offer are great too - an on site hairdressing room & laundry service that keeps everything running smoothly. There are activities for residents who want to join in with gentle encouragement but no pressure. The food is really good with plenty of choice every day. Mum enjoys her meals & it's clear they put a lot thought into catering for different tastes & needs. Overall I can't praise the staff & the home enough knowing Mum is safe, cared for & genuinely happy means everything to us.

When visiting my unresponsive mother and being told "we have to try" when Mum clearly has chosen not to eat or drink is unacceptable. When asked for Mum to be in her bed this was also declined. A considerate support worker who showed empathy personally asked and was given the same response. Mum being independent who has in her life kept her privacy was made to sit with other residents every day rather than be in her room which she personally paid for. Receiving phone calls saying "we don't know what to do" speaks volumes. I was informed I should be escorting Mum in an ambulance to hospital, due to her dementia, this is not necessary as further investigated, Mum at the time was unresponsive.

Regimentally organised organisation, no updates, no response to emails or left phone messages. Residents wearing clothes that are not theirs even though each personal item is named.

My father has been at Arrowsmith Lodge Rest Homes Ltd for 20 months. In all that time, he has received the best care possible. If there is a problem, it is sorted immediately. The staff are very caring and kind. They take the time to spend with residents chatting or helping with their needs.

As of when the new manager has taken over, everything in the home has improved tremendously.
The morale of the staff and everything, in general, has had a boost which I admire.
Everyone working there does their best which is all they can do.
The only thing I would suggest that could do with improvement is the staffing levels.

Could do with more help especially at the weekend.
