My mother was a resident in Jasmine Court for over four years until her death in May 2022, aged almost 102. Most importantly, she, herself used to say, "I couldn't;t be in a better place; they really look after me". This meant that we, her immediate family, didn't have to worry about her welfare. She
enjoyed the organised activities and participated fully when she could. During her final days, although we couldn't be with her, we were confident that she was well cared for and treated with dignity. What she did like most about Jasmine Cour? She used to say, "the homecooked food is really good here".

Mum was adamant she would never go into care, and although having carers at home, she would only let me bathe her etc. They did an assessment, and from that date to now that Mum is a resident, the staff have been great. Mum has settled remarkably well. The staff genuinely care, and it shows. Mum has
late-stage Alzheimer's. I am relieved that she now has 24/7 care.
Reply from Rahi Joshi, Marketing Associate at Jasmine Court ResidentialDear Kathryn, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are delighted to know your mum is settled and happy with her tailored care plan; we ensure to maintain our care standards always. Your kind words will be passed on to the team.
Best Regards.

Excellent residential home. Management, staff and catering are first class, always a difficult choice putting a relative into care but after viewing many residential care home Jasmine Court was our first choice. Mum is treated with care and dignity at all times. The home and her room are always kept
clean and tidy. She has improved her speech and put on weight whilst at Jasmine Court and she regularly has her hair, nail and feet done as an extra special treat. Thank you all at Jasmine Court.
Reply from Emma Bingham, Home Manager at Jasmine Court ResidentialThanks for your lovely review, I will make sure this is passed onto the staff team.

I have found the staff at Jasmine Court extremely amenable and lovely with our family resident (Mum) they have really tried hard to meet resident/family needs during the pandemic. They have done everything possible to make special occasions (Special). The house is always clean, tidy and very well kept
to a high standard. Mum loves the food there and always plenty of activities to keep them amused and alert.

Mum has lived at Jasmine Court for seven and a half years, and the care has always been the best. The home is modern, clean and homely. The staff are all caring and friendly and have done a terrific job keeping everybody safe during the Covid pandemic. She is happy and repeatedly tells the family that
she "couldn't be anywhere better". What better recommendation!

The carers we met were friendly and caring, the management, on the other hand, was lacking in compassion and understanding and in some cases were rude. My friend was only in there 2 half-days and 3 full days when his dementia took a turn for the worse and he did a few out of character things, which
can be normal in dementia patients, he was treated worse than a criminal and his family was made to feel it was their fault. He is now in another care home who have been very understanding and have worked with him to get him over his problem.

I have been visiting my friend who lives at Chorley Lodge for the past two years and have seen the home go through many changes, however, since the new management team arrived a few months ago, there have been lots of changes for the better. The atmosphere in the home is good, the staff team and management
cannot do enough for you. I find the home welcoming, staff and management very helpful. My friend is very well cared for and is very happy in the home and never complains which says a lot about the home in which she lives.

My Mum was a resident for over three years and died there peacefully in her sleep, as she wished being cared for with dedication by the staff. She was in bed for her final few weeks and was kept clean and moved regularly. Staff continually tried to encourage her to drink. Considering the home is a care
home and not a nursing home, the care shown her was exceptional. My brother and I lived several hours away and it was so reassuring to us to know that Mum was being so well cared for. The staff were upset when she died, and as one said 'she was part of our family'. Mum had been very well until the last few months and was always complimentary about the food, something she enjoyed. We would not hesitate in recommending the home and for relative to be reassured about the care their loved ones would get.

In the closing months & days of my mother’s illness (dementia) the staff & support were beyond compare. The dedication of all was phenomenal, & the genuine and heartfelt compassion shown both to my mother and her family was truly exceptional. There are no words I can say here that would truly do justice
to the support we received or the gentle and dignified approach bestowed upon my mother in her final hours of need. When the time came to say our final goodbye it was clearly evident that this wasn’t just another resident, it was a person who was loved and valued. Many of the staff on duty came to say their own goodbyes, and although the final chapter of my mother's life drew to its close it did so with compassion and dignity. I cannot thank the staff enough for the truly remarkable work they do, this was far beyond a professional approach to work, it was a reaching out from human beings who truly cared and wanted to ease the pain. My heartfelt gratitude goes to all of them!

All of the staff at Chorley Lodge went out of their way to make sure that dad had a good Christmas. They ordered a wheelchair taxi to and from my house and made sure dad was as comfortable as possible. They deserve a great big thank you for the way they care for their residents, all the time not just
@ Christmas. Thank you.

I visited my Mum yesterday morning. When I arrived she had just fallen out of bed. Four members of Staff were with her. The Deputy Manager supervised the safe return to bed for Mum and asked a carer to check that Mum was not hurt. Mum's Keyworker left to write an accident report. Mum was fine.
A carer
then brought Mum a drink and asked her what she would like to do. Mum said she would like to get up. What followed is the main reason for me writing this review. The carer then proceeded to give Mum a bed wash. She carried this out with such care, kindness and respect for Mum's dignity. She chatted to Mum and me in such a friendly way. She then helped Mum get dressed and assisted Mum in the safe transfer from the bed to her electric chair. Nothing was too much trouble for her.
Mum's Keyworker then arrived to escort her to lunch. I left Mum smiling and I felt so moved and appreciative of the excellent care and kindness I had just witnessed. No wonder Mum is very happy in Chorley Lodge.

My mother has been a resident for over 3 years now. I feel confident that her needs are taken care of. Having visited a number of care homes before selecting Chorley Lodge, my brother and I are convinced we made the right choice. The staff are on the whole wonderful and very caring. I visit two
or three times a week and quite often witness acts of love to residents from all levels of carers. Quite often, they are unaware of my presence. The management are very approachable. There is a very friendly atmosphere within the home between staff, carers, residents and visitors. The food is of a high standard and the rooms are always clean. Laundry is outstanding.

My wife had quite severe Alzheimer's Disease. After caring for her at home for five years her condition deteriorated to the stage that 24 hour care was needed. On admission my wife and family were immediately put at ease and were introduced to her main carer and others who were all friendly and helpful.
Until she died in December my wife was very well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they were all skilled and knowledgeable. If carers had any problems they passed their worries up the chain of command so that all the staff up to the senior manager were left informed and able to offer help.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.547)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.547) out of 10 for Jasmine Court Residential is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.672 for Jasmine Court Residential is calculated as follows: ( (121 Excellents x 5) + (54 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 177 Ratings = 4.672
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Jasmine Court Residential is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 66 registered maximum number of service users is 13.2, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
