My mum and stepdad have both come to Jasmin Court in March this year. From my experience so far the staff are really caring I have got to know some of them quite well. My mum has shown small improvements in her health and they have helped with any problems that have arisen and dealt with them to the
best of their ability. Its my mums 89th birthday soon and we are arranging a little party for her with the help of the staff and they are baking her a cake and this will be outside if the weather lets us. Every time I go I am made to feel very welcome even get offered lunch

We would highly recommend this Care Home.
On a daily basis we find staff go above and beyond in providing quality care for all its residents .Mums care has been exceptional with the whole team from caterers ,cleaners, activity coordinators, handy men ,auxiliaries, care and nursing staff working together
to maintain a happy caring environment in which Mum feels valued and cared for.
She has been involved in assisting staff with getting the roof top garden and courtyard ready for summer, numerous entertainment events and activities. She makes full use of hairdressing salon and the whole family are frequent visitors to the snoozy snug or Bobbys Bistro. We have also used the family dining room to celebrate Mums birthday.
The facilities are always clean and staff are always very welcoming to family and friends alike .

Our Mum has been at Liberton Brae for several months. We know she is safe and well cared for. The staff are professional, kind, and attentive. They are well informed about Mum's needs and care, and very responsive whenever we raise a concern about her health. The wellbeing team provide a wide range
of suitable activities and encourage Mum to take part. This has enriched her life enormously. The staff are also so kind to our Dad who visits regularly, and joins Mum for a meal once a week. Her room is always clean, welcoming and comfortable. Mum was always very stylish, and thanks to the staff she still is. Having Mum cared for at Liberton Brae has relieved the whole family of the worry and stress of trying to care for her at home.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife has Dementia and originally resided at another Care Home until I managed to get her moved to Haslingden Hall over 12 months ago.
It has proved to be an exceptional Care Home. Both the Care and Office Staff go to great lengths to ensure the well being of my wife and the residents.
I visit
her every 2 or so days when my health permits and have witnessed acts of genuine kindness every time, this is a happy place which under the circumstances of the awful illness the residents in my wife's wing suffer, is a revelation.
Having looked after my late Mother In Law, and then my wife until I couldn't cope It never ceases to amaze me how the staff look after them all so well.
The accommodation is very good, the food excellent and plentiful.
The lengths they go to to keep them all entertained is honestly really good and the staff, without exception, are knowledgeable and approachable.
Should I ever have to go into a Care Home Haslingden Hall has removed any fear I had about them.
Reply from Lisa Twigg, Registered home manager at Haslingden HallThank you for your kind words Paul. Our team work very hard to create a safe , Warm , and supported environment, We really appreciate your feedback.

The Glen Care Home

Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5
I am sharing my experience as a relative of a resident at The Glen Care Home so that others can make informed decisions.

In my personal experience, there have been ongoing concerns about the standard of care. Prior to the most recent incident, I had already raised issues relating to basic personal

care, room hygiene, and dignity. On one occasion, my mum was left uncovered after personal care with the door open, which I found deeply upsetting and undignified.

The most serious concern happened last week. My mum suffered what was later identified as a serious stroke, leaving her unconscious and unable to communicate. From what I observed and was told, there was a delay of several days before medical attention was sought. This delay was extremely distressing for our family and, in my view, not what I would expect in such circumstances.

I have also found the response from management disappointing. When concerns have been raised, there has been a reluctance to acknowledge responsibility.

- [ ] My first review was in November 2022, when my mother-in-law had been in Kingsley for 5 months. I am now writing this in April 2026, after she passed away in February. The care she received from day one to her final days was phenomenal and as such it gave us comfort, knowing that she was safe
and looked after. We are so appreciative of everything that was available and provided, from the hairdressing to the entertainment to the top quality food and housekeeping but for me it's the personal care from the nursing staff and carers that will always stay with me. My mother-in-law had a "strong" personality, and Alzheimer's definitely amplified that but the staff were all amazing with her. We were so fortunate that we managed to get her into Kingsley when we did and we will always be so grateful for everything. Thank you everyone, we will never forget you.

I cannot thank the team at Haslingden Hall for the exceptional care they provided for my Aunt. The staff made her feel welcomed, safe and part of the home, which was warm, clean and tidy. There was a genuine kindness and compassion shown from all staff members from nurses, carers to the management.

Like most people we were unsure about which care home to place my sister when she could no longer stay in hospital but I can honestly say that I cannot speak highly enough about the Glen and their staff. My sister spent 3 months there before sadly passing away. We found everyone to be kind and helpful
during her stay. When it came to my sister's end the staff could not do enough for her and us and she was treated with dignity I would highly recommend.

Making her final days comfortable and supporting our family throughout. She always had a smile during her time here, a true reflection of the warmth and kindness
