Can't thank the staff at this home enough for the care given to my mum. She has been a resident for 21 months suffering from altzheimers and dementia and has been in a steady decline in her health and wellbeing over past few months and her care needs have increased significantly. During this time every
avenue to maintain her comfort has been discussed and explored with myself and I have always been quickly updated when a solution has been reached. This has included the location and supply of physical aides to ensure she can still be included in any social activities and her overall comfort is maintained . More recently she has needed to be admitted to hospital via ambulance after a fall, where a carer remained with her throughout an overnight stay to ensure she wasn't distressed in a strange environment. Thanks again to all the excellent staff and management team at Jasmine Court.
Kind regards Paul Mears (son of resident)

My uncle is very well looked after. He us always presentable, clean and appears to be well fed.
The staff have all been very welcoming and attentive to my uncle and family members who visit him.
My uncle states that he likes living in Carnbroe care home and has enjoyed numerous day trips with them.
He
loves engaging in activities within the care home also.
The care home itself is clean and looks as much like people's own hones as possible.
My uncles room is always clean and tidy and has some of his personal belongings to help him settle.
My overall experience is it's to a very high standard of care.

There had been a massive improvement in my dad's overall care since the change of manger at the home . He's now clean & tidy and the staff a great with him . The only slight concern I have is with his swollen ankles , this has nothing to with the staff as it's the Dr who's insisting on giving him water
tablets continuously which have done nothing over months and months . I suspect he has heart issues as he's got stents and the swollen ankles are a result of an inability for his heart to circulate the blood properly and I'd like the doctor to listen to this as we are getting nowhere . That aside I'm very happy with the staff and my dad's level of care .
Reply from Ashley Donnechie, Manager at Craigend Gardens Care UnitThank you for your kind words Gary. MY review last year said pretty much everything - my uncle's vascular dementia is progressing and he remains happy and content, which is the best possible review that I can give. His transformation from the condition he was in at the hospital is remarkable - all of which is down to the team at Craigend.
As someone else said, it is not fancy, but it is a proper home. Ashley, the manager, is a gem - as are virtually all of the staff who I have encountered.

I first visited my friend some 18 month ago. His wife was already a resident. My friend died but I made a promise prior to his death that I would continue to visit his wife. She is very content in the care although she can look forward to family member visits and trips out for lunch etc. The staff have
always shown politeness to all concerned.

Visited dad today, he was happily eating his cooked breakfast with a fellow resident. Dad appears very settled and happy at Jasmine Court, he has been there for almost a year. As I don't visit very often due to living 300 miles away. It was good to be acknowledged by the staff and manager Jeanette,
they are always happy to chat and answer questions.

My husband is here for an extended respite. He is being cared for very well. All staff are very caring and respectful. He is treated with dignity during personal care, and encouraged to join in all activity. The staff recently worked extremely hard to give the residents a lovely VE day party, making
sure everyone was included. If my husband was to be a permanent resident, I and my family would be very happy if it was here.

I have a high level of confidence that my vulnerable but characterful father in his mid 90s is receiving the best possible care physically and emotionally at River Brook Care Home, where he has lived for 3 years with dementia and increasing immobility. There is low staff turnover amongst carers and
nurses which allows staff to get to know and meet resident needs in depth. Residents are routinely treated with gentleness and affection and there is consistent vigilance from the nurses. The building is impressively spacious and the garden is a delight. Safety, security and cleanliness are never a worry. Activities offered have recently improved.
