My mum entered the home on 19th June 2025 and she has settled in well. Everyone made her so welcome! She now enjoys showing her visitors around and tells them how well she is looked after.
She does miss her church and I don't think she's been able to access the service on the TV?
Overall I'm very
pleased with the care that my mum is receiving.

Reply from Elaine Wilson, Home Manager at Liberton Brae

Many thanks for taking the time to send a review. Much appreciated. We are pleased to hear that your mum is settling in and starting to feel at home. Will make sure that the staff remind her when the monthly in-house church service is taking place. There is also a weekly service live stream in the lounge or staff can arrange a private viewing in her room.

My mum passed away peacefully yesterday in Haslingden Hall. She had spent the last 3 months of her life here, and as a family, we could not be more grateful to each and every one of the staff. The genuine concern and care shone through every single day. At the end, it was because of the care for all
the family that it was a painless and peaceful passing.

My father moved here following a stay in hospital where he was very unsettled. On my first visit he was so much happier and had been enjoying the entertainment. The managers and staff are all very kind and friendly and there are lots of activities, entertainment and some trips out. He is now a permanent
resident and as I don't live close to Scarborough I love to see what he has been doing on the regular social media posts. I would highly recommend this care home.

Mum has now been a resident at Eagle View for over seven months. As a health care professional, with lots of experience of poor care homes, I was very reluctant for Mum to move in to full time care. Unfortunately living alone with Alzheimer's became untenable, unsafe for Mum and too stressful for my
sister and myself to manage.

The move to Eagle View has been an excellent decision. All the staff have been extremely supportive and the few small issues we've had have been dealt with immediately.

Mum's happiest when she's busy and loves all the activities that are regularly arranged.

I would not hesitate to recommend Eagle View.

Eagle View Care Home

from S H (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 July 2025

My father has been a resident of Eagle View since January of this year. As is expected, his need for full-time care was not an easy one, and not taken lightly, however Eagle View did everything they could to ease the transition.
Since that time the care shown to my dad has been first class. Everyone
from care workers, management, chefs, housekeeping have been outstanding.
As a family we have been unfortunate enough with other relatives to have the experience of multiple care homes for other family members, and I can say hand on heart that Eagle View is the best. The care, consideration, respect and love (in the absence of their loved ones) is second to none. They take the time to listen to their residents, are always striving to enrich their daily lives and ensure maximum communication with family. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Reply from Emine Tekis, Home Manager at Eagle View Care Home

Thank you so much for your thoughtful and heartfelt message. It means a great deal to the entire team at Eagle View to know that your father's transition into full-time care has been a positive one, and that you and your family feel confident and reassured by the care he receives.Your recognition of their dedication is deeply encouraging. We understand how difficult the decision can be to entrust a loved one to residential care, and it's our privilege to be a part of your father's life and support his wellbeing with the dignity and compassion he deserves.Thank you again for your trust and kind recommendation. My mother was a resident at Eagle View for just over 5 months. Mum had a massive stroke on Easter Monday whilst in Eagle View and died in Eagle View (as per her wishes), 6 days later. The care we received before, during and after her death was outstanding. They let us have use of a bed close by to Mum,
brought us snacks and drinks, and this made a lot of difference to us during this very difficult time. All of our needs were met with dignity and respect. All of the staff care deeply for their residents and their families.

My only concern is Bobbys Bar cleanliness could be improved. The tables and floor could be cleaner (more regular) lack of cleaning fluids and clean dish towels. Otherwise, this is a fantastic facility within the home which we use most days.

Reply from Elaine Wilson, Home Manager at Liberton Brae

Many thanks for your feedback. Its much appreciated as it really helps us to improve and make the home a more comfortable place for our residents . We have discussed your comment about cleanliness in the bistro with the team and from yesterday we increased the number of times that our domestic team will clean this area. I hope that this will help. As you are aware Bobby's Bistro is self manned but we try to have a staff member assisting there for part of each day who will make sure that the tables/bistro are kept clean. The domestic team will leave out more dish towels however we cannot leave out cleaning products for health and safety reasons.

My mother has been a resident since the home opened and we have found the care to be exemplary. Mum is well known by the staff for her views about world affairs and music and they all seem to know her well. Mum has COPD and the staff are very knowledgable about her treatment and have undertaken extra
training to deal with oxygen requirements when unwell.
We are always greeted on arrival and kept up to date with what is happening with Mum. Mum used to take part in some of the activities but is now less able but enjoys the chats she has.
It was recently Mum's 90th birthday and she had a great time. We took her out for lunch and the Care Home arranged a wheelchair taxi for us to take her down to the restaurant.
We are very pleased with the care and facilities in Liberton Brae and highly recommend the home.
