There had been a massive improvement in my dad's overall care since the change of manger at the home . He's now clean & tidy and the staff a great with him . The only slight concern I have is with his swollen ankles , this has nothing to with the staff as it's the Dr who's insisting on giving him water tablets continuously which have done nothing over months and months . I suspect he has heart issues as he's got stents and the swollen ankles are a result of an inability for his heart to circulate the blood properly and I'd like the doctor to listen to this as we are getting nowhere . That aside I'm very happy with the staff and my dad's level of care .

My experience of Craigend Gardens has always been positive. My Dad has been a resident here for over 2 years now. Although we have had very few issues, anything that is brought up is dealt with promptly and professionally.

MY review last year said pretty much everything - my uncle's vascular dementia is progressing and he remains happy and content, which is the best possible review that I can give. His transformation from the condition he was in at the hospital is remarkable - all of which is down to the team at Craigend. As someone else said, it is not fancy, but it is a proper home. Ashley, the manager, is a gem - as are virtually all of the staff who I have encountered.

Care home is very clean and well presented staff are always happy too help never had an issue at all with the care home easy too approach when needing something or have something too ask always great with my nana so issues at all lovely home and staff always make you feel welcome .

I have found the care home to be very good for my dad. He has been much happier and more alert. The staff have been absolutely amazing with him treating him with care, respect and dignity. I have also found that I have more quality time with my dad, and knowing that he has 24 hour care gives me peace of mind.

My Dad has been in Craigend Gardens Care Unit for over 2 yrs now. During that time my Dad has received excellent care from all the staff. Nursing staff I find are extremely helpful.

My sister has been a resident for over two years. During this time she has been very well cared for. The carers and nursing staff go above and beyond. Maybe not the fanciest care home but the care given is first class. The staff provide a good range of activities and entertainment for the residents. The staff are always approachable and they know the residents so well. The staff are the real stars.

Since Mum has been in the home I can honestly say staff, nurses and management are very hard working. I have had no problems with anything in the home.

Over the past year the home has just flourished and it's a delight to see. The staff are the absolute best and they genuinely make meaning full connections.

Since my brother arrived at the care home he has come on leaps and bounds. His walking has improved 100% he has gained weight through proper care. It is general well being has improved and we now can have proper conversations.

Any of our requests for additional help for my mother has been implemented.

And you are made very welcome and also friendly and welcoming they keep you updated what's happening.

First visit to see my aunt and was really impressed with the team, how helpful they are and how much they look after the residents. So happy my aunt is there - she looks amazing vibrant now.

I have been visiting my brother in the home for the past year and phoning to speak every night. I have always found all the staff to be very efficient yet warm and welcoming. My brother recently passed away in hospital. I can only say that while I was not impressed with the casualty department of the hospital, the comparison and care provided by the entire staff has been exemplary. This home represents the pinnacle of excellence.

Any concerns we have had have been dealt with quickly and the staff always have time to listen and reassure.

My wife is totally incontinent, so all staff must have the patience of saints to cope with her daily needs.

My brother has been suffering from delirium. Since being moved to Craigend Gardens he is starting to take an interest in things and is more contented, and less agitated. He is very well looked after by excellent staff.

Activities have also improved, whereas in 2022 they were few and far between.

My brother unfortunately had to go into care. He has been a resident at the home since April 2019. Myself and members of my family are very happy with the care he receives at the home. He settled in really well. We did have a couple of hiccups along the way but they were resolved in a professional manner. I can now sleep at night and go on holiday with the knowledge that he is being well cared for.
