Since Mum moved into the care home she has settled down well with the support from all the staff and manager. The night staff are good too but one, in particular, has tattoos. My mum wanted to have one and kept asking this man carer (evening staff) so he brought in a transfer and put it on her arm. She was thrilled to bits, also the activities coordinator (woman) is very engaging and involves residents round the table, flower arranging, tie dyeing, games or going and sitting and talking to residents. Also bringing the chickens in so residents can stroke and hold them. I am very happy with the care and support for Mum and myself.

The management and staff have been kind, compassionate, professional and helpful to both my mother and visiting family/friends. Nothing was too much trouble. The building is clean and the food excellent. My mum got great pleasure from watching the rabbits and chickens in the garden and loved chatting with the staff.

Thank you very much for your review of Haslingden.

It is lovely to hear how well our staff are doing. They do take great pride in their work and try to make sure all the residents and their families feel welcome and at home.

We are glad that your mother enjoyed the animals too. They are a great boon to the home!

Thank you again.

Since the new registered manager arrived at this care home much improvement has been made. My mum has been there for 4 years 2 months and receives excellent care and attention with her personal care, meals, medication and diagnosed physical ailments and Alzheimer's. My dad was with her for 2 years until his death in Feb 2015. Since then mum has had a bit more attention and help to aid her in coming to terms with this traumatic event. I am confident when I visit that mum will be happy, warm, and feel dignified by the care she receives. The activities are improving but it would be better if there were two coordinators. The laundry has improved over time. In general I am happy. Also communication has improved and changes to the care plan are implemented immediately.
