We found Marsh House to be a warm, compassionate place, the care was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we could see (via face time) our loved ones, and they were always happy to keep us informed as to her welfare when we phoned as due to COVID 19 we were unable to visit, but the staff kept the residents fully entertained by arranging fun-filled days. We will have no hesitation in recommending Marsh House Residential Home it is 5 Star.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a wonderful review, myself and the team at Marsh House really appreciate your kind words.
The carers at Marsh House always go above and beyond what is expected in order to provide the highest possible level of care to my mother. All aspects of her care are handled in a consistently professional manner, and this has a marked effect on my mother after previous experiences at other establishments.

This idyllic residential home has been residence to a close family member for the last 3 years. May I address just how grateful I am to have found this home after a long and hard continuous search for the ideal and suitable home at the time. The staff are outstanding in their care and compassion for all the Residents living in Marsh House. They truly care and treat the residents like their own family. Especially during these very challenging times we have noticed no difference in the care that my friend receives. The Manager is very attentive and always goes the extra mile no matter what the query may involve and finds the best solution. The activities coordinator is always busy entertaining the Residents with various activities to everyone's needs. Not to mention the high standard and flexibility of food options. The home is always clean and presentable. I would highly recommend this home at any opportunity that arises.

Our mum has been at Marsh House for over 3 years. When she first arrived we were really pleased with how she settled in, the staff were really welcoming to all the family. Mum has been encouraged to join in with the home's activities and we have and we have all enjoyed attending these events with her, such as weekly bingo and trips to the illuminations and Christmas dinners. We also loved being treated to the afternoon tea in the garden. The staff are patient and understanding and have been brilliant in attending to Mum's needs. During the current COVID crisis, the management put plains in place quickly to keep residents safe.
Thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate your positive feedback.
We, as a family, are so grateful to all the staff at Marsh House who do a sterling job looking after the residents. The excellent, friendly manager and her staff are always welcoming and helpful with any concerns we may have. My father settled in well and is very content. I applaud their professionalism (every Thursday) at the moment, due to the current crisis. Their dedication and hard work has ensured everyone is safe and well. I would highly recommend this care home.

My mother has now been in Marsh House for seven months and I'm delighted with how happy she is there. Throughout the Covid-19 lockdown, she has spoken to me on the phone every day and is always positive and bright. She has more going on in her life than I do in mine! Not only are the staff doing all they can to keep her safe but also to keep her spirits up. They are all prepared to do what they need to do to ensure the care of the residents is not compromised, either through staff absence or lack of professional visitors, often taking on roles which they do not normally do. Thank you to the manager and team.
Thank you for your kind words, we are doing our best to keep our residents busy and happy during this difficult period. Hopefully, it won't last much longer and we can open our doors and welcome you back to visit.
Every day there are news stories about vulnerable and elderly people falling victim to this terrible disease in care homes across the UK and abroad. You feel so helpless that you can’t visit your parent at a time that you want to be close to them and to protect them.
The manager and staff at Marsh House have been professional and caring throughout this ordeal. They know that responsibility for safeguarding your parent rests with them and they are taking it very seriously from what I can see and from what I hear. The family are indebted to these wonderful people for looking after our mum/grandma.
We speak to Mum each day and staff help her keep her mobile charged and with credit. They facilitate a video call each week and they help Mum to see me at a very safe distance from the garden. They know how important it is for Mum and for us to keep in touch.
Heartfelt thanks from all our family.
Thank you for your kind words, it makes us so happy that you feel this way. We are doing our very best to ensure that all or residents are happy.
Suggestions: A raised bed, vegetable plot for residents to tend. An activity person, encouraging residents with keep-fit activities. Introduce quizzes, bingo sessions and a large print news sheet for residents to read.
Thank you for your response, we are working tirelessly to keep our residents and staff in high spirits, with activities every day to keep them smiling. Covid-19 will not stop us from giving our residents the best life we can offer.
Marsh House is very good. Excellent staff. Excellent maintenance man and a good Manager.
Thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate your review.
Marsh House is my home from when it opened, had a chance of moving but did not wish as staff is all excellent. I have a lovely flat. I have made some good friends and a good for life.
This makes us so happy, we love having you in our home.
This care home is fabulous. The rooms are great, the restaurant has fabulous choices and the staff are very caring. They have lovely gardens and have excellent facilities, and they have entertainment coordinators to keep the residents happy and healthy.
What a glowing review. Thank you for your kind words, we really appreciate your comments.
My mother has been a resident of this home for several years and I cannot speak too highly of the care she has received. The staff display kindness and consideration at all times. The past month has been very demanding for all concerned and the dedication shown by the staff is outstanding. Marsh House was one of the first in the area to ask for total isolation and while this is difficult for both residents and family, it was a necessary precaution to keep everyone safe. They have even managed to give us the opportunity to videocall, which was much appreciated. My heartfelt thanks go to all the staff.
Thank you for your lovely review, we really appreciate your kind words.
My sister is very comfortable at Marsh House. The home itself is clean, bright and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and efficient. My sister's room is nicely decorated, clean and warm and she says the food is varied and always to a good standard with plenty of choices. Having viewed several other care homes in the area with my sister, we found Marsh House to be head and shoulders above the others in every respect.
We really appreciate your positive feedback. Thank you for your kind words. As a home, we endeavour to create a homely, caring environment for all our residents and those who visit.
When I visit my sister I always find the home clean. I find the manager very pleasant and able to attend to all my inquiries. She appears happy to converse with staff and residents and still have time to talk to visitors. The staff I find very friendly and helpful. I have visited quite a few residential nursing homes from time to tome but I would say that this is the most pleasant and friendly.
Thank you for your glowing review, we really appreciate your feedback.
Myself and the rest of the family are delighted in the care that my sister is receiving at Marsh House. She is extremely happy here and accepts Marsh House now to be her home. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful.
Thank you Joan. We really appreciate your kind words and feedback.
Mum had two falls in the previous four months prior to going into Marsh House. We decided that, for her own safety, a care home was the best option for a period of respite in order to recover from her injuries. It soon became apparent that she was so unsteady on her feet that Marsh House would have to be permanent to avoid further injury. We looked at several alternatives and were impressed with Marsh House for its cleanliness and staff attitude to the general safety and welfare of the residents. Her room is en-suite with patio doors opening on to a lawn. The dining room is clean, tidy and modern, looking out on to a well-maintained garden and a patio with furniture for sunny summer days. The food is varied and well presented by the resident chefs, with the menu changing daily. We always find the management and staff very approachable and were extremely supportive and understanding when mum was settling in. We would not hesitate to recommend Marsh House to anyone. It is run as “a happy ship”.
What a glowing review of our home. Thank you so much for your kind words, All The Team at Marsh House.
