The charming Marsh House, a converted farmhouse, offers its residents great views, beautifully decorated rooms and spacious facilities to socialise in.

The care provided by the highly-qualified and compassionate staff is personalised to ensure each resident is treated as an individual. Meals provided follow the same ethos and the home's chef regularly speaks to residents to fulfil their needs and preferences.

Marsh House accommodates up to 33 residents. They offer residential care plus support to those who are finding that their memory is becoming more of an issue in their daily lives. Most rooms feature French doors that open onto the grounds and residents have lots of space around the home, including a conservatory, to socialise and relax.

My wife has been here nearly a week. We are very satisfied with the care she is receiving. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. We are extemely happy she is here.

Mum arrived in August 2023, following a lengthy stay in a step-down facility. Mum had deteriorated during this time in terms of her capacity, mobility, reduced independence, mood and general wellbeing. I knew as soon as I stepped through the doors of Marsh House that this was 'the one'. The staff at
all levels are incredible: passionate, professional, caring, hardworking and skilled, even the maintenance guys know and engage with the residents, it's truly a delight to see the staff team operate together. Mum has bounced back and continues to blossom in all aspects of her health/well-being. I couldn't be more grateful to the staff who have encouraged her independence and movement. The team consistently go the extra mile, even supporting me with the transition, to make this the incredible home it is. We now spend our visits giggling with Mum and her stories of fun activities and staff interactions. All care homes are not the same. 5 stars Marsh House! I hope I can come here one day.

After being discharged from the hospital into a nursing home for assessment, I felt that wasn't where my wife would continue to improve. I was informed of this home, and after a walk around viewing, I felt that this was more suitable, so transferred here. Within days, my wife's general state of mind
improved, and soon after, her health improved to where she began to blossom and enjoy life again; this is down to the attentive staff who all care about their work, ensuring the resident's well-being, care support is the priority,y yet a sense of fun is always present in all they do. In the short time she has been there, this feels right.

Despite her state of advanced dementia, Mum seems genuinely happy at Marsh House. She enjoys a good rapport with all the staff and in turn, the staff, from the manager downwards clearly love and respect her.

I have been disappointed over recent months with the standard of my husband's dress ie not wearing his own clothes or stained with food, also when I bring in items for a treat for him they are not always given. I would also prefer to see him showered on a regular basis.

The team at Marsh House have now been reminded that clothing protectors may be best worn at mealtimes, rather than the use of a napkin, in order to keep clothes cleaner. I am assured that your husband is offered regular showers and his own clothes are available for his use, please be sure that when you are in the home, if you spot anything amiss with his dress or cleanliness, you highlight it, so that the issue can be rectified, if necessary. We would also like to confirm that treats are given, he likes to sit on the sofa and enjoy what you bring, but again please speak to the care team at the home. Since my Dad moved to Marsh House he has been very well looked after, cared for in so many ways. I feel the staff go above and beyond to help and care for their residents and treat them as their own. I feel the home needs upgrading in areas, decorating etc. The Garden needs sheltered areas from the
sun (permanently).

First came in November 2022. The home was chosen as close to family. I was made welcome from day one. Carers, seniors, manager and cleaning staff are all so friendly and look after all your needs. Visiting family and friends are welcome any time of the day, also pets/dogs are very welcome. You soon
make friends within the home which is lovely and helps the days go by. Gardens are kept well and it's lovely to sit outside now summer is here.

I find all the staff to be patient and amazing with my Mum, living here has given my Mum a new lease of life. For us as a family, it is a home away from home. I now consider all the staff as an extension of our family. The love and the care my Mum gets is priceless. I can't say enough how happy we are
because our Mum is treated with love, respect and looked after to the highest standard. I am so pleased that this is my Mum's home, feel blessed as a family.

Compared with previous care homes I have no problems with Marsh House. Indeed I cannot fault any section of the home. The staff in particular are caring beyond belief. The management are always prepared to listen to any reasonable request. The gardens are in tip-top condition within the vagaries of
the weather. No one should have any worries about visiting or living in this excellent establishment.

Our first experience of Marsh House Care Home was amazing, bright, clean and friendly. On moving Mum in, it just got better. The staff are great, happy to help and always friendly. The care Mume gets is great and I ultimately trust Marsh House and the team to look after Mum with care and dignity.

We are very pleased and relieved that Mum has settled into residential care at Marsh House. Marsh House is a nice, compact and safe care home with friendly and caring staff. Managers are very helpful, caring and responsive and there is great teamwork from all of the staff. Housekeepers are excellent,
going the extra mile and are very caring. Agency staff are caring and are enabling staffing levels are maintained, more permanent staff would provide greater continuity for care plan delivery. Real appetite for activities and enthusiasm, but more resources required on activities and therapeutic input. A nice building, but in need of decoration and refurbishment in certain areas. A good loving service, thank you for looking after Mum.

My mum went into Marsh House early December 2021. The care she received was second to none. I could not have wished for a nicer or more caring home. All the staff were amazing and I can't praise them enough.

We as a family cannot thank the staff enough. Mum's physical and mental health have deteriorated over the last few months, staff have responded to Mum's needs and have dealt with Mum and the family in a professional and caring manner. Staff are always polite, friendly and welcoming and listen and respond
to any issues raised. Communication from management is excellent.

When Mum was first admitted to Marsh House I was unsure of her going in a care home due to the many awful things in a care homes. However, myself and the whole family have been very impressed with all of the staff, who have been fantastic with Mum, very caring towards her. Also, Mum says the food is
very good. I would not hesitate to recommend March House. Thanks everyone!

My father currently resides here, and the majority of the time, he is happy. However, there have been some issues with staff, and in particular, a lot of agency staff having been brought in, which on some occasions, have been untrained in the job and also quite rude. There have also been some issues
in getting certain medical supplies into the home on time as well, which has been frustrating. However, the main permanent staff are all really nice and helpful. The food supplied is also very good, and the home itself is both clean and comfortable.

Thank you for your review of Marsh House. We are experiencing the effects of the national staff shortage and have to use agency care support, the situation being made worse by staff testing positive for COVID having to remain away from the home. It is in these instances, agency carers work with our own team, to ensure safe staffing levels are maintained. As Covid becomes less impactful in our homes and our care team begins to grow, the use of agency support will lessen. Unfortunately, our suppliers have also been affected by the same issues, and inevitably we have experienced delays in deliveries which are outside our control.
Our team in the home work so hard to ensure that residents are safe, happy and well and should there ever be an issue when this is not so, please advise us. Kind regards.

My grandma and us as a family were made to feel welcome and at home at March House the minute we came through the door. Gran has settled well and I think that's due to the excellent care and support from the staff. They all seem patient, caring, kind and fun. It's great to see Gran joining in with activities
and making friends. The home feels like 'home' and has a relaxed atmosphere. The staff interact with residents and their family members both in a friendly manner and professionally.
