My mother has been a resident in Milton Lodge for 3 years. She suffers from dementia, I have real peace of mind, knowing that she is cared for by very kind caring staff. The home has a happy family atmosphere with an "open door" policy i.e. visitors are welcome at any time. The manager is always available to answer any questions or queries and the welfare of the residents is treated as priority. The home is not a modern, purpose built place and some of the rooms are shared as are facilities. However for families who want their loved ones to be cared for in a clean, caring environment by excellent staff this is the place.
Milton Lodge is very neat, tidy and well lit and has large windows which lets in natural light and also allows the residents to see outside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. When I was asked to find somewhere for my nan to live I had a vision of a very clinical, cold dark place. Milton Lodge has completely changed my view. The staff do an absolute brilliant job of making sure the residents needs are met. I could not recommend it more highly. Top marks.
Mum has not been at Milton Lodge long and is just really settling in. The care she has been given so far has been good.
My aunt is well looked after. All the staff are very caring, even when my aunt is difficult they are extremely kind to her.
The staff do everything possible to care for residents. i find them very friendly and patient. The home is always fresh and clean. They all work very hard to maintain the quality they achieve. There is always some entertainment for the residents, Bingo, music, singers, exercises, dominoes etc. I think they do the best they can. I cannot find anything lacking in my opinion.
