Since the death of our mother in 2020, my sister and I have provided support to our father in his own home. This support increased over time to the extent that private healthcare also assisted Dad. Following a spell in hospital, a decision was made for Dad to live in a home that can provide care and support 24 hours. Preston Private Nursing Home was recommended and we are so pleased with the service provided. Dad settled in very quickly and we know he is in safe hands.

Following what I can only describe as a living nightmare after 6 weeks in hospital my mum was diagnosed as palliative and needing nursing care, myself and dad had the task of finding one.
My mum came here on Tuesday the 19th of March and we cannot fault the nursing care she is receiving it is second to none, the compassion sensitivity dedication from the care assistants senior care assistants and nurses is just so pleasantly overwhelming. The staff go above and beyond to make her comfortable in all areas, nothing is too much trouble, they all work really hard and there is a real friendly feel to the home from the minute you walk into the greeting of the friendly and welcoming receptionist and care and concern from the manager it really is such a beautiful place for loved ones to be cared for and looked after.

Thank you for giving us some peace and reassurance back in our hearts knowing how well my mum is being looked after by you all really helps us have a full night's sleep, your amazing.

My mum has been looked after wonderfully by the staff here at Preston Private Nursing Home. Mum was a resident here from 2015 to 2024 and died peacefully at the age of 103.

All the staff have been so very kind and supportive over the years to my mum and me and I value their kindness and friendship greatly. Her medical needs were well looked after, as was her mental health.

My father and mother have both stayed at Preston Private on numerous occasions.
My father came in for respite care and liked the place and staff so much he decided to stay. He sadly passed away at Preston Private. The staff were wonderful and made this sad time bearable. They are thoughtful, sensitive, and caring.

The level of support they provide to residents and families is great. I cannot thank or praise them enough!

My mother spent a week at Preston Private Nursing Home for respite care. Her whole experience was very positive of caring, attentive, and responsive staff who could not have done more to make her feel at home. Her room and facilities were very good and extremely clean and shared facilities were easily accessible. The meals, snacks, and drinks were varied, plentiful, and good. The daily activities provided good interest and resident involved action. Security and safety were very good. Overall the home is considered as providing excellent service with matching facilities. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this home to anyone requiring residential care for family members.

My family found the overall care of our mother was excellent. Unfortunately, it was only short term as Mum had a major unwitnessed fall, this being the 2nd since Christmas. At the age of 96yrs, this proved too much for her to recover. All the staff on the Durton unit treated Mum so well. The grandchildren called her our Queen & that’s just how she was treated. When Mum passed away the staff saw Mum off with such dignity. I would recommend the care home to anyone.

My partner has been a resident for 7 weeks and has settled in nicely. The care is very good and the room is also good. There are activities twice a day which residents are encouraged to participate. The staff and management are very approachable and attentive to all needs. They are all very friendly and interested in all residents.

My mum recently moved reluctantly as she is 92 years old. However, we were very unhappy with the care previously. I cannot express my praise and admiration for this wonderful care home. The residents are treated with dignity and respect, it is clean and the staff cannot do enough. It is highly recommended. The manager is very helpful and has made my mum very welcome in her new home, Preston Private Nursing Home. Thank you.

I have both my mother in full-time care and my father is here for interim care. My mother has dementia and all her care needs are met. She has friends and pet names for all carers. My dad is here whilst he is recovering. They accommodate his wishes and always include him in social activities to make him more included. They both are treated with care and respect, dignity, individual natures are accommodated rather than having to fit in which is an advantage.

My father was discharged from hospital for assessment in the Fernyhalgh unit. After two weeks he returned to hospital and eventually died. The staff were exceptional, their compassion and support I could not fault. The kindness they showed towards my father, myself and my brother was above and beyond. They were quick to act when he became unwell and informed us straight away about their concerns. Words are not enough in praising these exceptional people. I wish to thank them from the bottom of my heart

My father has received excellent care in Preston Private Nursing Home. The staff are extremely friendly and professional. His overall mood and health have improved considerably since he arrived three months earlier. All my interactions with the staff have been exceptional, they were able to answer any questions I had about his care etc. I feel confident that my father is in the best place possible for him now that I can no longer care for him at home. My father considers the staff to be friends rather than carers, he has built up a rapport with all whom attend to his needs. Visiting him is pleasurable and relaxing. I have nothing but great things to say about Preston Private Nursing Home - staff and facilities alike.

Our brother was in your care for a couple of months after discharge from hospital whilst a full assessment was undertaken. We were very appreciative of the care and compassion shown to him during this very difficult period of his life. The staff were all very friendly and approachable and kept us informed of his condition, nothing was too much trouble, and we are extremely grateful to them. Covid protocols were followed rigorously when appropriate.

Dad was cared for, for 4 weeks after his hospital stay. He was looked after in a wonderful and caring way. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We would have loved to have had him stay there but had to make a decision to move him nearer to our home 35 miles away. I would recommend Preston Private to anyone looking for a suitable care home in Preston. Thank you again to the wonderful staff.

Mum was cared for 3 weeks in September/October, on the nursing unit. She was extremely ill during a short battle with acute leukaemia. The nurses and carers were the kindest, caring and compassionate we have met. The nurses were responsive and keenly monitoring Mums condition and symptoms. Mum had no appetite and they attempted to tempt her with all sorts of options. They were so kind to us as a family allowing us to visit whenever. They were so kind and supportive when Mum passed away. The carers are all super.
