From the day my mother-in-law came to live at Keate House, she was looked after like a member of a family. All staff are so caring and made us feel so welcome. They treat everyone with such dignity and go the extra mile to ensure their residents are well cared for with activities taking place on a daily
basis keeping everyone included and active, including various outings in the in-house minibuses.
I would without question recommend Keate House, and having visited quite a few over the last twelve months I can certainly say this was the most outstanding in every area.

Outstanding care delivery at the home. Always providing care and compassion by staff to residents. Staff are very responsive to the clients/residents. Working with relatives and carers to meet everyone's needs. Couldn't ask for more from a home for my father who has settled into Keate House Home.

My Mum had to move into care home residency in early December 2023, and we were so very lucky to find Keate House.
From the first minute, and throughout the past few months, the quality of care and attention shone through always, right through the whole team.
On every visit, whichever team members
were present, there was an enthusiasm and passion for the care of residents, and often some form of activity supporting the camaraderie amongst all.
Keate House is a first rate care home, well managed, with superb carers throughout, a truly wonderful, lovely home, and without any hesitation can be highly recommended.

My mother-in-law is a resident at Keate House and has been for just over 2 years now. She moved across to Lymm from Lytham where she was extremely unhappy in the care home that she had recently moved into and has never looked back. The change in her since she was welcomed into Keate House is unbelievable.
The staff are not only kind, caring and considerate of her needs but they show a genuine interest in her and her life before Keate House. I know from discussions with staff when I visit that they engage with my Mother-in-law on a regular basis and know her personality, likes and dislikes which makes life for her there pleasurable. There are daily activities and crafts that she can join in with if she likes or she can have quiet time in her room and the lounge should she want company. I would not hesitate to recommend Keate House to anyone who finds themselves in the hard decision of having to find residential care for a loved one.

My mum has been part of this amazing home for the last few months, their activities are great! They have things on, not only in the home, but Mum has also been out on their own minibus.
The staff are always extremely welcoming when I have visited my mum. Her bedroom is a lovely modern room with an
en-suite with a shower. I feel so relaxed knowing Mum is being looked after by lovely people in such a homely place!

Keate House has been Mum’s home for the last eighteen months. My brother and I had done our best to keep her in her own home, but were struggling. The move was hard for all of us, however, over a short period of time we began to see Mum more relaxed, less anxious and happy in the company. The staff
put us at ease and gave us the confidence to ‘let go’ and pass responsibilities to them. Mum is really well cared for by people who care. The staff are responsive and respectful and are very keen to engage with families. The activities that they put on are great, you only have to check out the photos on their social media page. It has been a difficult few years, but having Mum so well looked after has meant I’ve been able to relax and really enjoy my time with her. I would highly recommend Keate House. As part of my job, I have experience of several care homes and Keate House knocks the socks off them all!

The quality of care provided at Keate House is outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and our family is in no doubt that Mum is being cared for in the best place, by the best people. The activities schedule is amazing and every member of the Keate House team has exceeded my expectations in their response
to any queries, questions or requests. Cannot recommend them highly enough to anyone who is seeking high quality care and support for a loved one.

This home has cared for my mother for over six years. I am always impressed with their schedule of activities and the efforts they go to, to keep residents engaged. They were superb at maintaining standards during Covid and have snapped back into that mode straight away following a couple of cases recently.
Their video calls are a great way to keep in touch with relatives when either they or you are unwell for a face to face meeting.

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.993)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.993) out of 10 for Keate House Residential Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.993 for Keate House Residential Home is calculated as follows: ( (285 Excellents x 5) + (2 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 287 Ratings = 4.993
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Keate House Residential Home is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 54 registered maximum number of service users is 10.8, which has been reached with 24 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
