My dad has been in Ferndale Mews for a short time, although I’ve never been inside the building, (because of covid), I was a little bit worried not knowing much about the place! But up to now, I have no complaints. The staff are lovely and very helpful, and Dad seems to be settling in very well.

During these last 4 months, not being able to see my mum has been really upsetting. However, I feel reassured that she has been looked after excellently. The staff having their own families to worry about have still cared for my mum without any disregard for their own wellbeing. She is safe and happy at Ferndale Mews.

After being so worried about my grandma going into a home it was so lovely and reassuring to see how happy she is and how the staff have made her feel at home.

The staff are lovely and pay her a lot of attention and know all her family and friends. Leaving feeling so relieved seeing how well cared for she is. Would highly recommend this home.

My mother in law has been really well looked after during this very tough time. It is a comfort to us to know that she is getting the care that she deserves. We have had regular contact by phone and had lovely chats with her. The staff have worked really hard and deserve an award. Thank you so much.

For the Christmas party, the carers and activity coordinator worked hard to give the residents a good time. It was a cold wet day. The carers tried hard to keep the residents warm and dry.

The food was lovely. Well done to the activities coordinators.

I was very impressed with how my mum's cleanliness and demeanor had improved in just 24 hours here. She had carers at home but they were obviously not paying the same attention that the staff here do.

My Mum spent a week at Ferndale Mews Care Home in June 2019 so that my Dad, her primary carer, could have respite. My Dad was very pleased with the service that the family received. I visited my Mum almost every day and what struck me most was the lovely atmosphere at the home. The staff are responsive, friendly and extremely hard working. At first, my Mum was apprehensive about spending time in care but ended up loving her time at Ferndale Mews. My Dad and me are really keen to have more respite at that home. I am sure my Mum would absolutely love another stay there too!

Lovely afternoon in the garden. As usual, all the care staff were smashing, hard-working producing lovey buffet and in some cases working without pay. First-class.

Overall standard is satisfactory, all carers are caring, sympathetic, treat Mom with dignity and affection. Perhaps more attention could be given to Mom's personal hygiene.

Decor on the ground floor is better than those upstairs. Mom's room could be freshened up.

Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to make improvements where required, and your kind comments regarding our valued staff team are very much appreciated. Due to the nature of the disease, those with dementia are not always compliant when it comes to daily living...

Overall the care provided at Ferndale Mews is of a very high standard and generally faultless. The residents are able to lead their lives with dignity and independence, while also receiving any help they may require. The facilities are very good and the staff are always attentive and compassionate when interacting with the residents. Occasionally personal items become misplaced, however, this is to be expected to some extent. Ideally, staff would receive better pay for the excellent job they do as it is important to maintain this level of care which is entirely down to the quality of staff.

Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. The laundry service covers both Ferndale Court and Ferndale Mews supporting 96 Residents. Whilst some clothes have been misplaced we have been trialling a new tagging system on the nursing unit...
