My cousin has settled into Pennystone Court very quickly and feels at home. This is largely due to the excellent staff and facilities. She enjoys the food and activities. Her room is comfortable and clean. I have no worries about leaving her in their care. Whenever I visit I am greeted with a smile by the staff.

Our friend was struggling at home and it needed a colleague to get her to accept help. Since she has gone to Pennystone Court there has been a miraculous improvement to her condition. Good food, help with tablets daily, comfortable surroundings and excellent care home revitalised her life and she has become the person we remember from over 1 year ago.

The management and staff at Pennystone Court have worked hard to ensure an easy transition from a care home that could not meet my father’s needs. A detailed care plan has been documented and delivered and any issues he has presented have been resolved with great skill and care.
The home is bright and clean with spacious en-suite bedrooms. There are several areas for residents and visitors to sit and lovely gardens created for people with dementia.
The specialist chefs make fresh appetizing meals throughout the day and cakes for afternoon tea.
The activities are varied and engaging and visits from local school children and entertainers make each day interesting.
My father is responding very well in his new home due to the friendly and supportive staff and the loving family atmosphere.

Having experience of several homes in the area, my family would not hesitate to recommend Pennystone Court.

I am absolutely thrilled with the care my mum has received from Pennystone. From day one until now, the staff have been amazing. They cannot do enough for you. The catering staff give the personal touch by always asking what she would like, even making smoothies!

I visit other homes to visit people and have never come across care like this. Even all the washing is done in separate machines so nothing ever goes missing. 10 out of 10.

I am very happy here at Pennystone Court. I am near my friends and family who come and see me frequently and take me out. They are made very welcome here by the staff when they come and visit. I enjoy very much the activities and entertainment and admire the enthusiasm of the young people who work so hard to make my day brighter.

I cannot rate Pennystone Court highly enough. Quite simply it is an outstanding home, run by outstanding carers and a superb leadership team. At a time when my mother's ongoing care is of utmost importance, I have trust in Pennystone Court and they have not let me and my family down. I rate them as excellent across the board and every time I visit my decision is reinforced: wonderful, caring people, providing a personal service which has my mum's care at heart. I would recommend without hesitation.

From the first step into Pennystone Court, it was obvious that we had found the right home for mum. Welcoming, homely, well cared for residents. Nothing has happened to make us change our minds. Mum has Alzheimer's and thought she could return home, now she considers Pennystone as home. She loves the staff, enjoys all her meals, joins in with activities (something she wouldn't do at home!). Great place for her to enjoy the rest of her life. Peace of mind for us, her family.

Mum suffers from Alzheimer's and only moved into Pennystone Court just over 2 weeks ago. In that short amount of time, she has become much brighter and we can no have a conversation with her. She will even have a smile and a laugh now.
I know that she enjoys the meals and has clearly put some weight back on.

Overall I am sure that she has benefited from being in the very caring environment that Pennystone Court provides.

My mum was in Pennystone Court for 2 years. She had Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. and my sister and I agonised a lot before we made the big decision to get mum more care. We tried one other before Pennystone, but she then moved here. It was the best decision we could have made. Mum had her own private flat, with en-suite and plenty of room for a couple of big comfy chair for visitors. Anyone could visit 24/7 and they were always made welcome. The staff were tremendous and checked on mum very regularly, and you could tell from the notes that they cared. Pennystone has a great blend of activities for residents to join in with (singing, quizzes, visiting, Bingo etc), whilst not forcing everyone to join in. Mum was very happy there and made some great friends along the way, both staff and residents, and you could see how much they cared. Her great-grandchildren were welcomed by all, and the place has a lovely happy vibe about it. The care she got towards the end of her life was superb.
