Bedrooms are all en-suite and enjoy views of the landscaped gardens, including Joyce’s Garden and a sensory space with herbs, wildlife, and a summer house. A caravan—funded by the local community—offers a space for games, music, reminiscence and laughter.

Mealtimes are full of flavour and personality, with resident-led menu reviews, tasting menus, and beloved staples like “fish and chip Friday” made with Fleetwood-caught cod. Pavlova day is a home favourite—no plates required.

As the home is purpose built, it is absolutely perfect to accommodate my fiance's needs. The seniors/staff and management are very caring and considerate and all my finance's needs are taken care of.


He is happy and settled at Pennystone.

From the first step into Pennystone Court, it was obvious that we had found the right home for mum. Welcoming, homely, well cared for residents. Nothing has happened to make us change our minds. Mum has Alzheimer's and thought she could return home, now she considers Pennystone as home. She loves the
staff, enjoys all her meals, joins in with activities (something she wouldn't do at home!). Great place for her to enjoy the rest of her life. Peace of mind for us, her family.

Mum suffers from Alzheimer's and only moved into Pennystone Court just over 2 weeks ago. In that short amount of time, she has become much brighter and we can no have a conversation with her. She will even have a smile and a laugh now.
I know that she enjoys the meals and has clearly put some weight
back on.
Overall I am sure that she has benefited from being in the very caring environment that Pennystone Court provides.

My mum was in Pennystone Court for 2 years. She had Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. and my sister and I agonised a lot before we made the big decision to get mum more care. We tried one other before Pennystone, but she then moved here. It was the best decision we could have made. Mum had her own
private flat, with en-suite and plenty of room for a couple of big comfy chair for visitors. Anyone could visit 24/7 and they were always made welcome. The staff were tremendous and checked on mum very regularly, and you could tell from the notes that they cared. Pennystone has a great blend of activities for residents to join in with (singing, quizzes, visiting, Bingo etc), whilst not forcing everyone to join in. Mum was very happy there and made some great friends along the way, both staff and residents, and you could see how much they cared. Her great-grandchildren were welcomed by all, and the place has a lovely happy vibe about it. The care she got towards the end of her life was superb.

Elizabeth (Lisa) Robins

Job Title: Home Manager

Lisa Robins is the Home Manager at MHA Pennystone Court and has been part of the MHA family for eight years. With over 25 years of experience in the care sector, Lisa brings a wealth of leadership knowledge to her role, underpinned by qualifications including a Level 5 ILM, RMA, NVQ Level 3, and a Diploma in Nursing Studies.


Before joining MHA, Lisa held senior roles as an Operations Manager for a group of care homes and as an Operations Lead in domiciliary home care. Her lifelong commitment to the sector has been shaped by a passion for excellence in dementia care.


Lisa is especially proud of Pennystone Court’s achievements in this area—the home was named Best Dementia Care Home in the UK (2022), and Lisa herself received the Best Registered Manager (UK) award in 2024. Under her leadership, the home continues to thrive as a vibrant, person-centred community.


She is also incredibly proud of the home’s fundraising efforts, which have raised over £18,000 to create specialist facilities, including an IT room, on-site caravan, sensory room, wellbeing space, and even a shop. Lisa leads with energy, compassion, and a belief that every resident should feel empowered, supported, and at home.
