Dearne Valley Care Centre, based close to the former South Yorkshire mining communities of Bolton upon Dearne and Goldthorpe, is a purpose-built care centre.

Here at Dearne Valley, 34 beds are offered over two floors catering for residential and dementia care. It offers a warm and welcoming environment.
It has a dedicated team of staff with a wealth of experience within this sector.

All strive for high-quality person-centred care adding value to enhance the wellbeing of all of residents in a friendly and homely setting.

All the catering is locally sourced and freshly home cooked, with a varied menu, catering for all dietary requirements.The team of catering staff put together a daily menu for services users that considers their personal tastes, religious beliefs, conditions and any specific dietary requirements. All meals are healthy, well balanced and enjoyable.

There is an activities coordinator within the home, who welcomes the local community. Care and activity plans are based around the individual, supporting and encouraging service users to be fulfilled.

It has its own bar which has been designed and named by residents and extended families. The residents and team welcome you all to BAR35.

Staff offer support for bariatric clients within the home. Respite, palliative care and day care are available.

The CQC report in April 2017 grades the home "Good" in all five areas.

My 95-year-old mother went into Dearne Valley after a mini-stroke. I was so worried about her being in a home after being so independent in her own flat. But she loves it, the staff are so caring and very friendly and she loves her cosy room.
I'm happy and can relax knowing she is well looked after
and enjoying herself in her new environment.

The care home is very clean, rooms are very nice, staff are very friendly and approachable and always willing to help with any queries we have. The food is good too (tried on several occasions when visiting my mum!)

My sister and I were looking for respite for my Mum in Dec 2018. We didn't know but she had developed dementia. We went to Dearne Valley and the manager was great. She visited our mother at home and offered her respite (initially) she was lovely, and at that time we were desperate and wanted our lovely
mum looked after. The manager offered reassurance and kindness. I will always remember that.

My father has been in full residency only a few weeks but the care has been very good across all aspects ie staff, catering. They are all very caring and understanding of the needs of my father, especially in welcoming him to the home and getting him settled.
