There's no words to express my gratitude, appreciation and thanks to all the carers and management at Thornhill House for their constant dedication and impeccable care they provide to the residents. Excellent well balanced meals, stimulating entertainment, activities, garden parties, fancy dress, the list is endless. Nothing is too much trouble for them. It's very comforting to have the reassurance of knowing your loved one is being cared for to such a high standard. They are one big happy family at Thornhill House. Thank you very much , all of you, for everything.

Excellent staff who go above and beyond with there care and attention, also very welcoming to residents family and friends, nothing is too much trouble. Activities provided to residents give great pleasure and enjoyment, especially encouraging them to join in. Very well kept rooms and a good varied menu catering for all needs, also knowing loved ones are safe at all times, cannot praise Thornhill enough, many thanks .

I cannot praise the staff who have cared for my dad enough not only in the last month but for his entire time there. The care, support, fun, love and dignity they have shown is nothing short of amazing. The staff always go that extra mile to make everyone's day treating all as individuals and knowing the likes and personalities of all the residents. They do remarkable work in what at times can be an emotional and stressful job

I cannot honestly believe how good this care home and staff are. My father has been in for respite a few times and it has been an incredible experience.

The whole atmosphere is clearly family based and person centered with all the staff literally like family, many of which have been there many many years.

I am so throughly thankful for everything everyone has done for me and my family and words just aren't enough.

All staff go over and beyond for all residents. Doctors called if needed. The food is excellent. It's clean. Management excellent.

I like living here.

Mum has been cared for as if she was family to all the carers they all go above and beyond nothing is too much trouble for them we as a family feel safe knowing Mum who has dementia is so well looked after.

Mum has been staying at the home for a month. After a difficult time she is so much happier in herself and has put much needed weight on. She is well cared for and loves all of the staff. We are so happy with all the team there and the facilities and activities.

What a wonderful home. The staff are all amazing, it's like one big happy family with lots of love care and fun had by all. I have seen other family members in care homes and whilst they were all great there's just something special about Thornhill House that always puts a smile on your face when you go. Keep up the good work that you all do. To see the resident I know so happy and safe means the world to me and her family so thank you from the bottom of my heart, you're just lovely.

I cannot even put into words how disgusted I am with this place! Some staff cared others not so much at all. The management is very unprofessional, mum had to be moved to a more suitable placement and when I got there to assist with this, the manager had already placed her outside with my aunty and a staff member at a table having a cup of tea in her nightwear. I was absolutely disgusted with this, all her things were already packed before I even agreed to move mum. You really need to open your eyes to the meaning of care, compassion and dignity!

The food was lovely and enjoyable. Mum enjoyed having her hair done every Tuesday. So thank you to the manager and all your staff for making Mum's last 3 years happy and enjoyable. Also thank you for the caring service you did when it was Mum's funeral it was very much appreciated.

A massive thank you for everything!

My mum was in here for 2 years before passing away in May of this year. The staff at Thornhill are the most lovely, caring, enthusiastic people and they are undoubtedly what makes this home what it is. I cannot thank them enough for looking after Mum and making her last 2 years as good as they were. The activities here were amazing, regular entertainment which Mum loved and loads of participation from the staff.

My dad is a resident of Thornhill House in Darfield and I honestly cannot thank them enough for the care and support they provide my dad. My dad is very settled and a lot calmer thanks to all the staff there. I wanted a care home for him where they actually involved residents with activities and other things rather than him just spending his days sat in the chair and Thornhill 100% deliver on that. Every week there is something happening in the home whether it be coffee mornings or entertainment. Amazing home. Keep up the good work.

Absolutely excellent care from the staff at Thornhill nothing is too much trouble at all. Always something happening and entertainment for the residents. Literally couldn't ask for a better place for my father in law to be, the best care home there is.

We are so happy with Thornhill House for my mother in law, there is so many activities that take place, and entertainment put on, food lovely for them, staff amazing, managers amazing, one big happy family there, you don't feel like it's staff and residents, you feel like they are family to the staff and managers, a massive thank you.

The staff and management cannot do enough for the residents to keep them stimulated, happy and safe. If I should need to go into a care home for any of the services Thornhill House cater for I hope I would be able to go there. I cannot speak or praise them highly enough.
