My mum is not always happy at the Beeches she feels like some of the staff don't want her there. She's not treated Like its her home more Like an Unwanted Visitor.

Not all staff treat her poor but there are one or two that are more Like Jailors and need more empathy towards the residents.

The Beeches create a proper home from home environment. Every member of staff from management, maintenance, laundry, cleaning and care are all absolutely brilliant. Friendly, efficient, and they genuinely care for all of the residents. My mum is the happiest and most engaged she has been for a long time. The organised activities, entertainment and food are of an excellent standard.

I can't thank everyone enough.

When I started to look for a carehome for my Mother I initially turned up I turned up un-announced and I asked if I could be showed around and they were more than happy to show me round.

I knew straight away this would be a good place for my Mum to stay , she has now been there for eight months and I am more than happy with every aspect of their care they give.

My brother took my dad for a look round and he said the staff, cleanliness, decor and facilities were just what dad needs. Dad went in the Saturday before Christmas 2024 and settled straight in. Christmas day was spent having lots of fun for the residents and families visiting. All the staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. If you need to know anything, just ask or if they think you should need to know they tell you. Keep up the great work, thank you.

This is not a good review. My mum had a fall last month. It took the care home two hours to contact me, after it took an hour for an ambulance to be called, only when my mum said she was in pain. My mum had broken her hip, the staff picked my mum up off the floor after a fall which they should not have done before she was checked over. I did speak to the manager, she was not very nice to talk to, saying the protocol was followed and staff were dealing with another emergency. Sorry, but there should be staff on to deal with these situations. I am not happy with the care mum received at that time.

The care given and received is adequate. My only quibble is when I am downstairs I don't get to go to the toilet when asking to go as they are short-staffed and busy.

My mother-in-law is very happy at The Beeches. She has been here for almost a year now. She is settled, feels looked after and is given just what she needs. The staff are receptive and appear to care for the residents. I cannot fault the care and compassion I've witnessed on my visits. Thank you.

We are very happy with the standard of care at The Beeches Care Home. The recent management changes have given some stability and direction. Any issues we have encountered have been adequately dealt with. The home has limited facilities due to its age and layout, however, staff endeavour to make the best out of what they have.

What an amazing place, the residents are their number one priority, after having to take my mother out of another supposed care /nursing home (would love to name but for legal reasons, I can’t), what an absolute difference. All staff are polite, respectful, and speak to you. Make family and friends feel welcome and at ease, as you know your loved ones are being cared for.
The manager you will see out of the office ensures that all residents are being monitored and treated properly. They only take on one new resident a week (if space is available) to ensure that your loved one settles in well, and receives all they need to enable them to feel at home and feel comfortable.
I can’t praise enough just how at ease I feel that my mum is receiving the best care they can offer, I have actually noticed I am sleeping better at night not worrying how my mum is doing.

They invite all visitors to bring in young people, you can see the faces of all residents light up, and when I took my dog in - wow!

My mum has been residing at The Beeches Care Home for almost three years now. She has thrived at the home and in some ways is now happier and more healthy than when she arrived. She seems to get on well with her living arrangements, other residents (some at least) and staff. I have only seen her upset about something on rare occasions. The home also caters well for her gluten-free diet. Overall, moving to The Beeches has been a very positive move and she (and we) have had a much less stressful and safer experience than if she had remained at home.
