Originally built in 2000, Sandygate has recently been refurbished, offering bright en-suite bedrooms, modern lounges, and calm communal areas. The landscaped gardens feature raised beds, quiet corners, and even a resident rabbit, Flowers, who roams freely and brings joy to everyone she meets.
Meals are home-cooked, seasonal and shaped by resident feedback. Themed celebrations, birthday cakes inspired by residents’ hobbies, and baking sessions are part of daily life. From a Burns Night supper to a Kit Kat-shaped cake, dining here is full of personal touches.

I am very happy with the quality of care my grandparent is receiving at Sandygate. The staff cannot do enough even although they are extremely busy. I would like if there were additional staff to give more one to one time with residents.
