We as a family have had a very positive experience at Silverwood. It has been a really emotional time as a family, however, the staff have been kind, attentive to Mum and patient with the family, answering all our questions and following our and Mum's needs. Mum seems well looked after. It gives us confidence and peace of mind. Thank you.
Staff are excellent. They treat my dad very well. The food and facilities are very good. Could not fault anything. Very happy with the service they supply. 10/10.
I have found that my wife is very well cared for and very happy herself. Staff always helpful and very good at liaising if there are any problems, there are areas in which the home excels, one is the food, always plenty of variety and well cooked, a few problems arise but mainly through funding and needing more staff but it's nothing to do with the home.
The health and welfare of my mother is obviously of paramount importance to me. Especially as I live in the USA. On my visits to Silverwood, I've found the staff and management excellent. Very accommodating and helpful in every sense of the word. The general cleaning staff are fantastic, taking pride in their work. The management, including admin, have been great. Nothing seems too much trouble. I'm so happy my mother is in Silverwood and thank all concerning for their kindness and dedication.
From initial meet and greet, the staff and manager have been supportive and understanding, reassuring any concerns I may have had about both the process and my mum's requirements being catered for. The capacity to look after my mum has been a credit to all the staff, with empathy and support their priority.
The staff are very welcoming and very interactive with all residents and family members. Nothing is too much trouble. They keep records of the patients day to day routine which is accessible to us at any given time. The food is cooked fresh daily which is a big bonus as many of the homes we looked at were ready-made bought in. I feel very comfortable that my Dad is in good caring hands when I leave from visiting the home.
The care and support from staff has been excellent, patiently dealt with concerns, giving time to answer any questions. Mum has felt cared for, supported and safe. Time given for activities and just to chat has added to an atmosphere providing both care and independence. Thank you.
Home is well staffed. The staff are helpful and friendly. Engaged well with residents. The home is well run and the manager is very helpful and is always happy to help with any issues that arise. Overall, this is a very good nursing home.
I have visited my relative today, it's been very welcoming. Very clean and had lots of attention. Easily accessible and good for parking.
After my first visit, the home had a happy, carefree feel. All the residents were chattered to and were very content. The carers had time and patience to speak to them, which gave me the feeling that this was the place he would be cared for with lots of love and kindness, which gave me reassurance that he would be well-loved after. Keep doing what you are doing and all families that need a care home for their relatives can be reassured that their best interests will be carried out. Thank you so much.
My wife is very happy at Silverwood. All the carers and staff are very kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The meals are very good and so is the accommodation, including day rooms and bedrooms. Everything is very clean and tidy. All in all, a very good place to be.
I call on my sister as often as I can. The staff are always very helpful, I sometimes have a bit of a delay in getting in the main entrance. The food is good and the entertainment is varied (always music playing in the communal areas).
I must, however, single out one member of staff, in particular. This gentleman is exceptional. His care, hard work, perfect temperament and superb attitude to his job is tremendous. I'm truly humbled by his work ethic, helpfulness and kindness. He's a great person and a wonderful asset to Silverwood care home. Well done and thank you.
I recently made the hardest decision to place my mum in twenty-four hour care due to her dementia getting progressively worse. Silverwood have made the transition from her home to the care home so smooth and stress-free, my mum has thrived from day to day. The change in my mum has been life changing for her and my family. She is stimulated everyday, every time I ring to have an update, she is always busy. Mum being at Silverwood has given her her social life back, brought her out her shell and I cannot thank the staff enough. My mum likes the interaction with them, I can ring every hour of the day if I wanted too and it wouldn't be a problem for anyone there. I can not thank them enough for giving me and my mum our lives back. Amazing team! Amazing home! Amazing people!
Beautiful, clean care home with really lovely staff. Mum has only received care of us, but now feel she is settling enough for us to come away from her. She gets confused at times but always says she is well looked after (which means a lot).
My mum transferred to the dementia unit at Silverwood three days ago, and I am so impressed by this care home. Mum had previously been in respite care for three months following a fall, and the improvement in just three days is amazing! All staff have taken the time to get to know Mum, spend time working with her to make her as independent as she is able and encourage her to get involved in everything that is going on - even exercise classes! Most importantly, everyone takes time to make sure that she is not just cared for, but actually happy (something we have missed). Silverwood has such a wonderful atmosphere, and carers do what is clearly a hard job with smiles on their faces. We have all been made so welcome - not just Mum but the entire family. Thank you!
I find all the staff very caring, and whenever I've asked for anything, they are only too pleased to help.
Fantastic care; everyone is so supportive, friendly, helpful and great with my grandma. So patient and caring. Nothing is ever too much. Not only lovely to her, but also to us when we visit - always feel welcome.
Me, mum and brother are very happy with everything.
I am very pleased with Silverwood care home, where my mum is a resident. She feels happy and safe there. She is much healthier and has been enjoying the food. She has also become more outgoing getting involved in activities and making new friends; this is all thanks to the kind and helpful staff.
