Mum has only been in the home for seven weeks, but everything seems to be very good, and she is being well cared for.
Also, I know that Mum is in safe hands at Silverwood and is being well cared for.
Mum came into Silverwood on the 19th of July as her health was deteriorating due to dementia, and we found it impossible to carry on caring for her at home. She found it hard to accept and continually asked us to take her home, but after five weeks, she seems to have settled in. The carers are always pleasant and helpful when we visit, and Mum looks well fed and looked after. Her room is always nice and clean, as is the rest of the home. We are always informed if there is a problem toom.
Thank you, Silverwood staff!
They’ve been so brilliant with them. I have even decided to work in care myself and do exactly what the staff have been doing for everyone else.
My grandparents stayed in Silverwood for a week. They both enjoyed their stay. They were happy and felt safe while there. They really enjoyed the food. When speaking to staff, they were polite, helpful and made me feel comfortable knowing that they would be taking care of my family members. My grandparents will be staying here again in the future. Thank you all at Silverwood for making their experience an excellent one.
My grandad and grandma both had a week there, and both loved it. All the staff were kind and made sure they both had everything they wanted/needed, making sure they both always had something to do so they never got bored. Both have said they cannot wait to have another week there. All in all, the home is 10/10 in all aspects of care. Cannot thank the staff enough.
Would highly recommend Silverwood Care Home. It is spotlessly clean, and the staff are excellent. The care and understanding they gave to our mum and to us in her final week were outstanding. Mum had Alzheimer's and was treated with dignity and love in the short time she was there, and we, as a family, were also really well looked after.
My father was in this home and passed away in the home 7-years ago. My mum now has Alzheimer's, and it was the first place we thought about when we could not manage to look after her any longer. Mum has only been with you for about a week, and we are very happy with the home and the staff. I do not anticipate any problems, but should any arise, I feel I can speak to the manager; I know her from when my father was with you, and she was the deputy manager. I can highly recommend this home.
Mum has been in Silverwood for four weeks. She has dementia and is being looked after really well. The staff are excellent, approachable and extremely friendly and helpful. Mum has settled really well.
My mum is bedridden with dementia but is always clean and well kept when I visit. She receives excellent care and staff are always friendly and helpful. During Covid, the home has been excellent in providing care and preventing the spread of the disease.
My mother was a resident at Silverwood care home for over four years. During that time, she was well looked after and settled. She and indeed all residents were allowed to move around the home as they wished and treat it as their home. She made many friends there, both with fellow residents and staff.
From my very first visit to see my aunt, I was very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff right down to office staff. The whole layout of Silverwood lodge is superb as residents can walk a circular tour of the rooms with lounges and dining rooms situated at convenient intervals. There's a kitchen for residents and guests to make drinks, a hairdresser, sweet shops and visiting chiropodist. Fabulous events are organised by staff, art classes, hobbies and Christmas fayres etc. Lots to keep residents occupied backed up by a fantastic team of staff and support workers.
The care that my mother-in-law has received has been first-class. It is so reassuring to know that Mum is in such safe and kind hands.
We are so happy that mum who has dementia is being cared for by a good team of carers at Silverwood Care Home Rotherham. The staff are wonderful and care for my mum so well. I have to give them 10 out of 10.
I have been a resident at Silverwood for eight months and found the care excellent. The staff are friendly and caring. All my needs are catered for, and I am settled and happy here.
My mum moved into Silverwood eight months ago; obviously, I was worried that she would be upset and unhappy with the move from her own home - but boy she settled in immediately. The staff are always kind and caring, and Mum is very happy here. She gained weight as she began to eat well and really enjoys her meals. All the staff are very friendly, and it feels like a happy home. We can relax knowing she has 24-hour care and support.
Everyone is kind and caring. Highly recommended.
My grandfather has been here for nearly two years, he is very well cared for and all the staff appear to be fond of him. He has deteriorated a lot but the staff are very good at trying to keep his attention and helping him remember who we are.
We have been coming to see our Mum for 6 years, and in those 6 years, she has been treated with dignity and kindness. All the staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble for them, we can go home knowing Mum is being cared for by these lovely people.
Excellent staff who are very welcoming and treat residents with dignity and respect. I wouldn't hesitate in putting one of my family in this setting.
Well done guys!
I'm a community senior caregiver and if family ask I always recommend this care home.
