My aunt has now been at Darwin House for over a year and the level of care has been very good throughout her stay. Communication has also been excellent. My aunt is happy so thank you!

All staff were friendly and appeared happy in their job. We were offered hot drinks + biscuits on arrival. The option to eat with residents is also good. Residents appeared happy, with an activity for the afternoon my uncle said he was happy and liked the food. on leaving manager in the office polite friendly and took time to chat. Lovely atmosphere

This would be a place I would choose if I ever needed a nursing home.

My husband stayed for the first time for 1 week respite care. The room was delightful, everything was clean and well cared for. The staff and management were fantastic, so caring, treating him with respect and as an individual He will definitely return for either respite or long term care.

My mum originally went into Darwin House for respite after being in hospital, however she decided she would like to stay permanently. Sadly she wasn't in the home for long when she passed away peacefully. Throughout my mum's stay and passing the staff were amazing, kind and supportive and treated her with such dignity. I would highly recommend Darwin House. It is a wonderful care home.

My mum stayed in Darwin House for 1 week for respite, she was well cared for while there, the staff were lovely and kind. The room was nice and clean. Overall very happy with Darwin House.

I booked into Darwin House for a weeks respite care (8-15 Sept) following major surgery. It was a wonderfully reassuring experience when I was feeling very vulnerable post-op. Staff were all very kind and attentive. Nothing seemed too much for them. I cannot thank them all enough and would not hesitate to recommend this home. My room was very comfortable with a lovely view over the garden.

My mum stayed at Darwin House for 6 and a half years. During that time she and the staff had COVID to deal with too. She was very happy and her care was excellent. The staff were always helpful and treated her with dignity. I would highly recommend this home and I speak for a 6 and a half year stay so should know. Mum died recently and again they were all amazing. Well done Darwin House staff, I love you all.

I was able to ring staff at 2am and I git a swift and helpful response.

I was just glad mum's last few months were spent somewhere that became "home", where she felt safe and I had quality time with her, as a daughter, not just her carer.

I have now visited this care home about once a month since my friend was admitted. I have always found everything about Darwin House extremely pleasing. I have not experienced 'food' enough to to tick the excellent box, but what I have seen has been good. The atmosphere is at all times welcoming and friendly. I cannot comment on value for money as I am not a family member of the lady I visit.

My aunt's move to Darwin House in Many was at very short notice and I had concerns as to how she would cope. Thanks to all the staff she has settled in very well. She is a very independent lady but they have catered to her various needs with patience and compassion. I am very grateful because living 2 hours drive away complicates matters but I can relax because she is in such good hands. Thank you all.

Excellent care by Darwin House for my mum who was there for respite. The staff are amazing - attentive, caring and considerate, they go over and above to help to provide activities and entertainment. The food is fab and Mum felt very welcomed and well looked after. Only one point to note - some of the furniture looks dated and in need of a bit of TLC here and there. I would highly recommend.

Always made welcome on my visits and my cousin is well looked after. I can't judge on the activities or value for money.

I looked very good as soon as I walked through the door. Very clean and wonderful decor. The meal was very good. The staff are very helpful.

I spent some time in Darwin House following a spell in hospital. Having had a bad experience in the hospital it is so refreshing to spend time in Darwin House where I was treated with respect as an individual by all the staff, who were wonderful in every way. I was regularly checked on throughout the day and night, and all the staff showed real concern for my welfare and safety. If I had to go into a care home again I would certainly try to get into Darwin House, I could not be happier in their care!

My mum has recently passed away but had been a resident at Darwin House for apparently two years. We could not have wished for better care of our dear mum. There was a positive change in my mum from the first week of her moving into her lovely room. The staff are always at hand, caring and respectful. We were informed immediately of any changes in Mum's health. She passed away peacefully in her sleep with dignity and the staff couldn't have been more respectful and caring under difficult circumstances. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Darwin House to anyone looking for a residential home.

The engagement to the family from the staff at the home was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. We also felt that the connectivity with doctors made a difference, so if a diagnosis or treatment was required, things always happened quickly. We can’t commend Darwin House highly enough. We chose them through a recommendation and are so grateful that we did.
