Paddock Lodge Care Home

Highly recommend, thanks to all.

My mother, Hamida, was staying at Paddock Lodge for the long term, and I was so grateful to have found such a caring place. It gave me peace of mind to go on holiday, knowing my mother was in safe and loving hands. I always felt welcomed when I visited to see her, especially when I missed her while I was away. We stayed in regular contact, and the staff kindly helped facilitate video calls when I was abroad, which meant a lot to me. The team spoke Punjabi and Urdu, making everything more comforting for my mother and me. I always received a warm welcome from the manager and her staff, who patiently answered all my questions Ramnik, making me feel truly cared for.

We found Ramek the manager really helpful giving us advice about the paperwork process as it was all new to us, and generally being very supportive to me and my husband. My husband also found Maxine, one of the carers really helpful.

The staff, especially the deputy manager are all really kind and friendly and I am in no doubt that Debbie was well cared for, she settled in well and I am extremely grateful. I have only reviewed the elements that I was able to give accurate feedback,

I cannot praise the home enough they are not just carers they are family my mum could not have been treated any better had she been living with me the girls bent over backwards and even stayed beyond their shift if needed to as for Ram I have never before met a manager that would muck in like the rest of her team like her my mother loved her time there and I felt content too the girls became an extension of family

I can highly recommend the Paddock LodgeCare home and have always found the staff to be very caring and nothing to much trouble to look after their residents. I have worked in the retirement field myself and am aware the challenges of looking after frail and confused older people but the practice I have observed has been of the highest standard.

Following a period of time in hospital at the start of 2024, my dad moved in to Paddock Lodge in March 2024.

I visited a couple of care homes in the area and as soon as I visited Paddock Lodge, I knew it was the right one for dad. The manager was so welcoming, as were all the staff. The place had such a lovely comforting feel about it. Just the kind of place i knew dad would like once he'd settled in.

My dad settled in very well and he is now much healthier and happier than when he was living on his own. The staff are so lovely to him, and the other residents, and to me. I visit a couple of times a week and am always warmly welcomed.

Not once have I ever had any concerns about the care and support my dad receives. I genuinely love visiting, not just because my dad is there, but because it feels homely and comfortable.

I honestly couldn't recommend Paddock Lodge highly enough.

The care my mother received at Paddock Lodge was second to none. Hopefully, my mother can recover sufficiently to resume her stay there. Private care is more often than not portrayed in a negative way, this does not apply to Paddock Lodge. I cannot speak more highly of them in terms of my mother's care, honesty, approach and potential aftercare.

I am very grateful to all the staff at Paddock Lodge. My mother was a resident there for a transitional period of three weeks after suffering a stroke and being in hospital for two months. I could find no fault with the service. All staff were super friendly, switched on and couldn't do more for both my mother and me when I visited. The manager is an experienced, dedicated leader and a clear communicator. What my mother enjoyed about Paddock Lodge was the friendly, family-like atmosphere. Unlike new builds that charge twice as much, Paddock lodge, although an older building, has a great family feel and a close-knit community and lacks any clinical or hospital-like feel that other care homes may exude.

The management and staff have been amazing, my Mum has dementia but is still a very loving lady and her needs are met on a daily basis with plenty of hugs and kisses from all, I feel this is very important for my Mum emotional well being.

The only thing I would complain about as Mum is self-funding I feel the decoration is very dull and outdated. I'm sure a lick of paint by the owners would make the home a far more preferable location.

My mum was at this care home for 15 months and I am eternally grateful to all staff for the care and support they provided for her during this time. Even after my mum passed away, they kept in contact and supported myself and my family through what was a very tough time. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Paddock Lodge to anyone who is in a similar position to the one we were in. And if truth be known, I actually miss seeing the other residents there. The staff are unsung heroes in these testing times of Covid. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My Grandmother spent her last few months here and I'm glad I picked it as she enjoyed her final leadup to her passing and we as a family are glad that she did so. Would recommend you do take your loved ones here as the care is to a high standard.
