I think my father receives a good standard of care. He gets on well with the staff, and they seem very fond of him. On days when he is unwell, they seem to treat him conscientiously and with kindness. I am grateful for the care they provide, and when I do raise any issues, they are dealt with efficiently.

I am very satified with the care my mum recieves. I never thought she would settle in to a care home and it is thanks to the lovely pleasant attitude of the staff that she has done so.

My mum has been in the home for six months and i or other members of family visit every day. In that time we have only ever seen happy and caring staff.

My experience is only from January 2026 when residency took place. But confirm that the help/assistance given to me, and intimately to making the transition easier has been commendable to date.

Overall Experience

The staff are fantastic. The level of care and kindness is great. We do always have to come and visit at meal times, as my nan requires her food to be cut up, and this regularly isn't done. The accommodation is always spotless, and my nan really enjoys the activities. Overall, it's taken her a while to settle in, but she is very happy and settled now, thanks to the staff. Meals could be plated better, e.g., peas on the side.

My brother was a resident at Highfield for just over 12months
The care he received was outstanding, from managers to housekeeping staff.
The staff went above and beyond to look after him.
The care and support to his family was outstanding
During his final days, the care, compassion and empathy shown from everyone that worked at Highfield was fabulous, the staff were genuinely amazing,
The senior staff on his wing along with care staff showed their true dedication to the clients with so much compassion, it was truly heartwarming to see such a wonderful group of staff who were not only dedicated their time on duty but also on there days off, or staying late when their shift had finished

The biggest thank you from a very grateful family

My mother-in-law entered the home in February 2024. We have noticed in the last 3 months an improvement in all areas of the home, ie cleanliness - every time we visit everything is clean and tidy. The upstairs living area has had new flooring and the seating area is well planned out for visiting and privacy. We have noticed extra staff and all are caring and polite. All the management team and staff work really hard and are always happy to speak to you if you have any concerns.

Marie Binder
Marie BinderJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2024

My name is Marie Binder and I am the Home Manager of Highfield Care Centre Allerton Bywater

I have been a Home Manager since 2021 and caring is in my genes as I grew up around the care industry as my Mum was also a Care Home Manager.

I am really looking forward to the challenge in front of me working with this dedicated staff team and getting to know the fabulous residents.

I am married with two boys who keep me very busy with their sports. MMA, Football & Rugby.

Any spare time I have is generally spent exercising which is my way of relaxation.

I am super enthusiastic motivated and have drive and passion in everything I do.

At Highfield Care Centre I intend to lead from the front supporting each resident as individuals, respecting their wishes and values and caring for them with dignity.

Tiffany Taylor

Hi, my name is Tiffany Taylor, and I am the deputy manager at Highfield Care Centre. I have had 28 years of experience working within the elderly care sector.

I originally started at Highfield Care Centre as a senior carer, and over the past 8 years, I have worked in various roles, rising up to deputy manager.

My biggest achievement is completing my diploma level 5 in 2025. I love to promote a positive, happy environment for the residents and to see the residents smile. People would describe me as a bubbly, friendly person.

In my spare time, I spend time with my husband and my diva French Bulldog Piggy, who loves attention all the time and mum snuggles. I also love shopping.
