Very competent and very friendly.
It is like home from home.
My mum says she is very happy here and would not want to go back and live by herself in her own home and I think that is a good recommendation for The Spinney.
When my mum needed a safe and welcoming environment due to her advanced age and mental health problems, I thankfully decided that The Spinney would meet her needs. The home itself is stylishly furnished, clean and welcoming. The staff and management are extremely professional and supportive and the food is delicious too. This is by far the best care home I have visited.
I was extremely satisfied with the care, concern and helpfulness shown to my mother by the staff allocated to her care. During her stay there, the staff built up a good relationship with her which helped her to feel secure and happy. This enabled me to feel confident that she was in 'good hands'.
Happy with everything, 1st class.
I am having a great retirement and happy to be living here. I have everything I want and will ever need.
My stepmother spent approximately 18 months at The Spinney. She was unsettled at first, moving from sheltered housing, but gradually she settled in. She was encouraged to join in activities and make friends in the home, which she did.
The staff were caring and understanding of my stepmother's needs.
She was treated with great dignity throughout her stay.
The staff are very caring and look after the residents with a caring manner. The staff have met fathers needs.
I always look forward to visiting him and go home feeling reassured that he is in safe and caring hands.
My mum was a resident there for 3 years up to her death in December 2016 and I always felt that she was well cared for and treated with kindness and respect. As her daughter, I was always well informed and involved in decision making.
My family and I were always made very welcome at The Spinney.
I would definitely recommend The Spinney.
She spent 1 week in this first nursing home and then went to The Spinney - it was 1000 better than the first place - she was very happy to be so safe. The Spinney treats her with care and dignity. All the staff are wonderful - I cannot praise them highly enough.
The staff are polite and friendly. They are caring for the people in there.
The Spinney is warm, friendly and very welcoming. The staff are very helpful and they always have music on.
The Spinney has a lovely warm feeling to it when you visit. My grandmother looks like she is being looked after very well, always dressed nicely, looks clean. The staff are friendly and always welcoming and see to my grandma,s needs. All residents are treated as individuals and respected on their views and opinions on things. I would definitely recommend this residential home to other people.
My mother was placed here for respite and was then changed to residential care. The staff are welcoming, professional and caring. They are not just there for the residents but also for the family. You are kept informed of changes to medication or care plans. They have activities going off to keep everybody active.
This is a small friendly home. Nothing is too much for the staff, they really are prepared to go that extra mile to keep the residents happy, safe and engaged. The management are very committed and constantly looking at ways to impress the service and the residents environment.
Mum came to Spinneys for respite care, we found the staff very friendly and helpful. The staff reassured mum who was nervous about going, her room was lovely and welcoming. Would not hesitate in bringing mum again for respite or longer if she decided she wanted to move here. She enjoyed her food, the hairdresser who attended and socialising with the staff and residents. The staff were very quick to deal with any incidents that arose such as when mum needed the district nurse to help with her feet.
Thankyou so much for your feedback and valued response. It was a pleasure supporting yourself and the family and we look forward to seeing you again in the future.
