Overall Experience

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Dovecote Lodge I'm pleased to say my stay, albeit short, just 2 days was very enjoyable. I couldn't have wished for better surroundings, my reason for staying was because I was waiting for a piece of equipment coming from hospital. The staff are lovely and they've got a very good atmosphere and I didn't see a long face amongst the staff at all which for me says a lot. Well done ladies & gentlemen

After a serious fall, my mother who has vascular dementia was admitted to Dovecote Lodge Horbury from A&E for rehabilitation with a broken bone in her pelvis. in the 4 weeks, my mother has spent there.

She has been treated with the upmost care consideration and dignity from all members of staff, from the cleaners to the caring staff and everyone in between. When I was told my mother was going in to the care home, I had deep reservations regarding her care, but I didn't need to have worried. Every night I went home satisfied that my mother was getting the best care from all carers. I would definitely recommend dovecote Lodge to anyone .

My husband spent three weeks at Dovecote Lodge, while recovering from a hip fracture operation. I was visiting him most days. Each time I was impressed with the atmosphere at the Lodge. The staff were very friendly both to patients and myself, nothing was too much trouble. The place is run by a professional team.
It was tidy and clean.
And it looked festive at his time of the year.

On behalf of my husband and myself, I wish those lovely people a very Merry Christmas and a happy healthy New Year.

Dad was discharged from a long stay in hospital. He was taken to Dovecote for a few days while carers were put in place for his return home. Dad was so happy with his stay and couldn't praise staff enough. The care was 100% and the food delicious, the carers were amazing. He's now home feeling a lot happier, thanks to the staff you are all angels and very much appreciated. Thank you.

Overall Experience
My 90 yr old mum, left hospital and was transferred to Dovecote Lodge. At the time I never thought we would get her home again she was so frail and unwell. After 14 days isolation due to covid I have today been able to see her. The difference in her health and well-being is almost unrecognisable, she is just about back to her normal self. The care and attention she has received from the wonderful staff is second to none and is a huge contributing factor to how well she is doing. We are looking at getting her back into her own home within the next few days and she is over the moon about this.

There aren't enough words to express our thanks and gratitude to all the wonderful staff who have cared for her. Nurses, carers, domestic staff and the people who have cooked her lovely meals you are all heroes, and do an amazing job, even in these difficult times. Sending love to you all. Stay safe, and THANK YOU.
